Congratulations for your excellent choice.
Our ash vacuum cleaner is not only a top quality and highly reliable product, but it is also easy to use and offers a safe
and long-lasting operating life.
It has been designed to vacuum only cold ash. It is not suitable for boilers or for fuel oil stoves nor can it be used for
plaster powder or cement dust. The equipment is designed for domestic use.
IMPORTANT - Safety warnings - Read carefully before use!
-Do not leave the ash vacuum cleaner plugged in whennot in use. Always stop the appliance with the ON/OFF
switch before taking the plug out of the socket.
-Do not pull the lead. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cable. The use of an extension cable is not
recommended.
-Do not pull or carry by cable or use cable as a handle.
-Do not use to vacuum water or other liquids.
-Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as petrol, or use in areas where they or their
vapors may be present.
-The cover of the motor compartment must only be cleaned with a dry cloth.
-Do not leave the ash vacuum cleaner outdoors, it must always be kept in a dry place and not where it could be
affected by bad weather conditions.
-Do not handle any part of the plug or appliance with wet hands.
-Do not disassemble the appliance as incorrect reassembly may result in an electric shock or fire.
-Do not stretch the cable or place the cable under strain. Keep the cable away from heated surfaces. Do not
close a door on the cable, or pull the cable around sharp edges or corners. Arrange the cable away from traffic
area and where it will not be stepped on or tripped over.
-Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
-Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts, such as the
brush bar. Do not point the hose, wand or tools at your eyes or ears or put them in your mouth.
-Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and
anything that may reduce airflow.
-To avoid a tripping hazard wind the cable when not in use.
-Hold the plug when rewinding onto cable reel. Do not allow the plug to whip when rewinding.
Electric lead: if the electric lead is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, by the manufacturer’s customer
service or by qualified people.
-This device is not intended for use by people (including children) with limited physical, sensorial or mental
capacities or by people lacking in experience or knowledge unless they are assisted or shown how to use the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
HOW TO PREPARE AND USE THE ELECTRIC ASH VACUUM CLEANER
-Position the appliance on a flat surface.
-Make sure the HEPA filter is fitted in its housing (fig. 1)
-Connect the steel pipe to its fitting. (fig. 2)
-Before cleaning the stove make sure that it has cooled down properly. Before vacuuming the ash, check that it
is cold and no longer alight.
-Plug the electric lead into a socket, making sure the voltage is suitable for the characteristics of the appliance,
check the rating label on the appliance.
-Turn the appliance on using the luminous ON/OFF switch located on the cover of the motor.
-Vacuum the ash directly from the fireplace or from the stove using the steel pipe.
-If the suction power decreases, turn the motor off using the switch and when the motor has stopped
completely, lift the lid and remove the filter from its housing turning it slightly. Wash the filter under a
gentle jet of running water at room temperature in order not to damage it. Use a soft brush to remove
the more stubborn residue.

Do not use hot water otherwise the filter may warp.
-Do not use detergents. Leave the filter to dry naturally before replacing it in its housing. Do not place it
close to hot sources of heat. Do not place it in direct sunlight.
-It is advisable, in any case, to clean a max. of 2/3 kg of ash during each cleaning operation.
-When the stove or fireplace has been cleaned, the appliance and suction filter must then be cleaned as
described above. The cleaning operations should be done outdoors.
-Position the steel pipe in fitting (fig.3) by jointing the connection supplied with the machine (fig.4) and turn
the appliance on using the switch. Direct the outlet of air towards the filter and, if necessary, shake the filter
with the metal nozzle located on the outside of the pipe.
-Once the filter has been cleaned, check whether it is suitable for further use. If it has been damaged or broken,
replace it with an original Ribimex HEPA filter.
-To take out the filter, remove it forcefully.
-To insert the new filter, press on it as far as it will go.
PREFILTER FOR HEPA FILTER
The prefilter, applied over the HEPA filters, prevents the ash to get in contact with the filter lengthening the duration of
suction.
To ensure efficient suction, fit onto the HEPA filter (fig. 1) the fabric pre-filter as shown in fig. 2.
With the prefilter completely applied (Figure 3), use the ash cleaner as indicated in the user and maintenance manual.
For proper maintenance and suction power, the pre-filter and HEPA filter can be washed in water and must be dried
thoroughly before use.
BLOWING FUNCTION
To use the blowing function, insert the pipe in the air outlet hole as shown in fig. 3 when the equipment is
switched off and fit the connector shown in fig. 4 that is supplied with the equipment on the end of the pipe. Turn
the ash cleaner on using the switch.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
CAUTION: Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance operation, the plug must always be
removed from the socket.
The container and the filter should be cleaned quite regularly to ensure the equipment works properly. If the
equipment does not work satisfactorily, it may be due to the presence of residue or dirt inside the filter or the
pipe. In this case, it is advisable to turn off the equipment, remove the plug from the socket and then clean the
parts.
If these instructions are not followed, the guarantee will automatically become null and void.
The only filter that can be cleaned - replaced by the user is HEPA filter group with prefilter.
Filter must only be replaced by qualified staff.

Onze aszuiger is een hoogwaardig en betrouwbaar product, dat bovendien eenvoudig in gebruik is en lang meegaat.
Hij is alleen ontworpen voor het opzuigen van koude as en is niet bedoeld voor gebruik in stookruimtes, voor oliekachels
of voor het opzuigen van stof van pleisterwerk of cement. Het apparaat is bedoeld voor huishoudelijk gebruik.
BELANGRIJK –Veiligheidsaanwijzingen –Lees aandachtig door voor gebruik!
-Laat de stekker niet in het stopcontact als u de aszuiger niet gebruikt. Schakel de aszuiger altijd uit met de
aan/uitknop voordat u de stekker uit het stopcontact trekt.
-Trek daarbij niet aan het snoer. Houd bij het verwijderen van de stekker uit het stopcontact de stekker vast en
niet het snoer. Het gebruik van verlengsnoeren is niet aanbevolen.
-Trek of draag het apparaat niet aan het snoer en gebruik het snoer niet als handgreep.
-Gebruik het apparaat niet voor het opzuigen van water of andere vloeistoffen.
-Gebruik de aszuiger niet voor het opzuigen van brandbare of explosieve vloeistoffen zoals benzine en ook
niet in ruimtes waar dampen daarvan aanwezig kunnen zijn.
-De motorbehuizing mag alleen worden gereinigd met een droge doek.
-Laat de aszuiger nooit buiten staan, maar bewaar hem op een droge plaats waar hij beschermd is tegen
weersinvloeden.
-Raak de stekker en het apparaat zelf nooit aan met natte handen.
-Haal het apparaat niet uit elkaar; het opnieuw in elkaar zetten ervan kan een elektrische schok of brand tot
gevolg hebben.
-Trek het netsnoer nooit strak en stel het niet bloot aan andere mechanische belasting. Houd het netsnoer op
veilige afstand van warmtebronnen. Klem het netsnoer nooit tussen de deur en leid het niet langs scherpe
hoeken. Plaats het netsnoer zo dat het niet op looproutes ligt waar mensen er op kunnen gaan staan of erover
struikelen.
-Zuig niets op wat brandt of rookt, bijvoorbeeld sigaretten, lucifers of hete kolen.
-Houd haar, loszittende kleding, vingers en andere lichaamsdelen op een veilige afstand van openingen en
bewegende onderdelen zoals de borstel. Richt de slang, buis en het opzetstuk niet op ogen of oren en steek ze
niet in uw mond.
-Plaats geen voorwerpen in de openingen. Gebruik de aszuiger niet met verstopte openingen en verwijder stof,
vezels, haar en alles wat de luchtstroom zou kunnen belemmeren.
-Rol het netsnoer op als u de aszuiger niet gebruikt om struikelen te voorkomen.
-Houd bij het wikkelen van het netsnoer op de spoel de stekker vast. Zorg ervoor dat de stekker tijdens het
wikkelen van het netsnoer nergens vrij tegenaan kan stoten.
Netsnoer: Bij beschadiging van het netsnoer moet de reparatie uitgevoerd worden door de fabrikant, een door de
fabrikant erkende service of een gekwalificeerd persoon.
-Dit apparaat mag niet zonder toezicht worden gebruikt door mensen (incl. kinderen) met beperkte zintuiglijke
of verstandelijke vermogens of ontoereikende ervaring en kennis, tenzij ze geassisteerd worden door een
persoon die verantwoordelijk is voor hun veiligheid en die hen vooraf heeft geïnstrueerd over het gebruik van
het apparaat.
VOORBEREIDING EN GEBRUIK VAN DE ASZUIGER
-Zet de aszuiger op een vlakke ondergrond.
-Zorg ervoor dat het HEPA-filter in zijn behuizing is geplaatst (afb. 1).
-Plaats de stalen buis in de hals (afb. 2).
-Zorg er voor het reinigen van uw open haard of kachel voor dat deze volledig afgekoeld is. Controleer voor
het opzuigen van de as of de as afgekoeld is.
-Controleer of de spanning in uw stopcontact overeenkomt met de gegevens op het typeplaatje van de aszuiger
en steek de stekker in het stopcontact.
-Schakel de aszuiger in met de knop met het brandende controlelampje op de motorbehuizing.
-Zuig de as met de stalen buis uit de open haard of kachel.
-Schakel als het zuigvermogen afneemt de motor uit met de aan/uitknop en wacht tot de motor volledig

tot stilstand komt. Til het deksel op en neem het filter uit zijn behuizing door het enigszins te draaien.
Was het filter onder een lichte straal lauw water, zodat het niet beschadigd raakt. Gebruik voor het
verwijderen van hardnekkig vuil een zachte kwast.
Gebruik geen heet water; dit kan tot vervorming van het filter leiden.
-Gebruik geen reinigingsmiddel. Laat het filter voordat u het terugplaatst in de behuizing eerst goed
opdrogen. Plaats het niet in de nabijheid van hete warmtebronnen. Stel het filter ook niet bloot aan
direct zonlicht.
-Het is aanbevolen om per keer maximaal 2-3 kg as op te zuigen.
-Na reiniging van uw open haard of kachel moeten de aszuiger en het zuigfilter worden schoongemaakt zoals
hierboven beschreven (doe dit buitenshuis).
-Plaats de stalen buis in de hals (afb. 3) met het meegeleverde verbindingsstuk (afb. 4) en schakel de aszuiger
in met de aan/uitknop. Richt de luchtuitlaat op het filter en schud het filter indien nodig met het metalen
mondstuk dat aan de buitenkant van de buis zit.
-Kijk het filter na reiniging na voordat u het verder gaat gebruiken. Vervang het als het beschadigd of kapot is
door een origineel HEPA-filter van Ribimex.
-Voor het verwijderen van het filter is kracht nodig.
-Bij het plaatsen van het nieuwe filter moet het er volledig worden ingeduwd.
VOORFILTER VOOR HEPA-FILTER
Het voorfilter op het HEPA-filter voorkomt direct contact van de as met het HEPA-filter en verlengt daarmee de
zuigtijd.
Plaats voor een efficiënte zuiging het stoffen voorfilter op het HEPA-filter (afb. 1) zoals weergegeven op afb. 2.
Gebruik de aszuiger met volledig geplaatst voorfilter (zoals op afb. 3) zoals beschreven in de handleiding. Vooreen juist
onderhoud en behoud van de zuigkracht kunnen het voorfilter en HEPA-filter worden gewassen met water. Voor
gebruik moeten ze grondig worden gedroogd.
BLAASFUNCTIE
Wilt u de blaasfunctie gebruiken, plaats dan bij uitgeschakelde motor het uiteinde van de slang met behulp van
het meegeleverde verbindingsstuk (afb. 4) op de luchtuitlaat zoals getoond op afb. 3. Schakel de aszuiger in met
de aan/uitknop.

REINIGING EN ONDERHOUD
LET OP: Neem vóór reiniging en onderhoud de stekker uit het stopcontact.
Voor een juiste werking van het apparaat moeten de tank en het filter regelmatig worden gereinigd. Als het
apparaat niet naar tevredenheid werkt, kan dit veroorzaakt zijn door vuilafzettingen in het filter of de slang.
Schakel in dat geval het apparaat uit, neem de stekker uit het stopcontact en maak de onderdelen schoon.
Bij niet-naleving van deze instructies komt de garantie automatisch te vervallen.
Het enige filter dat door de klant zelf mag worden gereinigd en vervangen is het HEPA-filter met voorfilter.
Het filter binnenin de motorbehuizing mag alleen worden vervangen door een gekwalificeerd persoon.
