Introduction
This manual contains detailed instructions and notes on the operation and use of this machine. For your
safety and benefit, read this manual carefully before using the machine. Keep this manual in a handy
place for quick reference.
For safe and correct use, be sure to read the Safety Information in "Read This First" before using the
machine.
Super Password / Admin Password / Lockscreen Password
The configuration screen for the Super Password, Admin Password, and Lockscreen Password appears
when the machine's power is turned on for the first time or when the machine's settings are restored to the
factory defaults. Make sure that each password is configured.
Super Password
The Super Password is used to initialize the administrator password.
Admin Password
The Admin Password is used to display settings in the system settings that can only be changed by
the administrator.
Lockscreen Password
The Lockscreen Password is used to unlock the screen when returning from standby mode.
• The Super Password, Admin Password, and Lockscreen Password are not set in the factory defaults.
• Each password must fulfill the following conditions:
• Specify a password that is 8 to 64 characters long.
• Specifiable characters: Single-byte alphanumeric characters, symbols

1. Overview
This chapter provides an overview of the whiteboard function of the machine. It also explains how to
view the screen.
Things You Can Do with the Machine
You can use this machine in a variety of ways to fit your needs.
Use a Whiteboard
You can use your finger or a pen to write letters,
shapes, etc., on the whiteboard.
In addition to drawing freehand lines, you can also
enter figures.

Operate pages
You can add pages to the whiteboard and switch
between pages to write, draw, or edit written
contents. You also can change the display
magnification of the displayed page.

Import a file and write text or draw figures
You can import and display image files and video
files on the whiteboard app screen.

Save pages
You can combine all the pages within a single PDF
file. This file can be saved to the storage of the
machine, to cloud storage, or to a USB flash
memory drive.

Display a page on a smart device
By displaying a QR code on this machine and
scanning it with a smart device, you can display the
content displayed on this machine on a smart device

Display the screen of an external device such as a
computer
You can connect a computer, tablet, or document
camera to this machine and display images.

Preview the screen of the external devices
You can display a list of screen previews of the
external devices connected to this machine.
You can also display a picture-in-picture preview of
the screen of an external device. The preview
display can be moved and enlarged or reduced.

1. Connection status icons
This icon appears when you connect an external device such as a USB flash memory device or a computer to
this machine.
2. Date/Time
Displays the current date and time
3. Sidebar menu display button
Displays the sidebar menu
This button is always visible on both the left and right sides of the screen, and you can view the sidebar menu
from any screen.
4. Application box
Displays a list of apps installed on the machine
5. Browser
Displays a web page
6. EShare
Launches EShare app
Shares the screen and files of this machine with devices using Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Chrome OS,
or Ubuntu.
On this machine, you can also display the screen of a device using Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Chrome
OS, or Ubuntu.

8. Whiteboard app
Launches whiteboard app
Use your finger or a pen to write letters, shapes, etc., on the whiteboard.
9. USB flash memory device
Manages the files stored in the USB flash memory device
This icon is displayed only when a USB flash memory device is inserted into this machine.
10. Sidebar menu
The sidebar menu allows you to switch the video input and to check or change various settings.
For details about the sidebar menu, see page 14 "Icon displayed in the sidebar menu".
11. Float bar menu
Touch and hold any location on the screen with two fingers for about three seconds to display it.
The float bar menu allows you to use the whiteboard app, the annotation, and the screen capture tool.
The float bar menu is disabled in the factory default settings.
For details about the float bar menu, see page 16 "Icon displayed in the float bar menu".
• The browser and EShare icons can be replaced with shortcut icons for other apps. For details, see
page 99 "Managing Apps".
• In order to display the float bar menu, the administrator needs to change the settings in the "Other"
section of System Settings. For details, see page 126 "Other".

Icon Description
Returns the sidebar menu to hidden
• If [Show and Hide Sidebar by Edge Swipe] under [Other] of System Settings is
turned on, the sidebar menu cannot be hidden by this icon. For details about
"Show and Hide Sidebar by Edge Swipe", see page 126 "Other".

Displays the source settings
• Source Settings
Allows you to check and change settings related to video input (source)
• Source Preview
Displays a preview of all the video inputs (source)
In the source preview, you can check each video input screen, switch to a video
input screen, or select one video input to display a picture-in-picture preview.
• Source list
Switches to the video input screen

Lowers the top edge of the displayed screen
This is used when it is difficult to write on the top of the screen.
• Depending on the apps that you are using, this function may not be available.

Displays the utility menu
The following utilities are available:
• Countdown Day
• Eye Protection
• Calculator
• Vote
• Screen capture
• Screen Recorder
• Stopwatch
• Spotlight
• Touch Sound
You can also adjust the volume and brightness, as well as add app shortcuts.

Displays the System Settings
You can check and change the System Settings of this machine.

Launches the annotation
You can write on the currently displayed content.
You can write on the video from an external device, the display screen of a document
file, or the app screen of a web page, etc.

Displays a list of screens that are processing in the background
You can switch the display to another processing screen or split the screen.

Turns OFF the power of this machine
• The [Power Off OPS] option is only available when a controller that supports the
OPS (Open Pluggable Specification) standard is installed.
Icon displayed in the float bar menu
On the home screen or any of the app screens, touch and hold any location with two fingers for about
three seconds to display the float bar menu.
The float bar menu consists of a float bar and a menu around it.
Touch and hold on the float bar menu to move the display position.

Operating the Screen
You can use the pen or your fingers to operate the screen.
To select an icon or button, touch the item you want to use with the pen nib or your finger.
When operating a computer from the machine, you can perform a single-click by touching the screen
once or a double-click by touching the same location twice.
Major Screen Operations
Input
Writes by hand.
Delete
Deletes the written content.
You can erase each writing, erase with the palm of your hand or finger, or erase the entire
page.
Select
Encloses the target items to select.
Reduce/Enlarge
The selected item can be enlarged or reduced.
Move
The selected item can be moved to a different position.
Cut/Copy/Paste
The selected item can be cut, copied or pasted.
• For details about the screen operation, see page 30 "Basic Operations".
Notes before operating
• If a shirt sleeve touches the display while you are operating the screen, text or figures may not
be written or drawn on the display of the whiteboard correctly.
• While you are operating the screen with your fingers to scale or move an object, the touch
may not be recognized accurately when the distance between your fingers touching the
screen is too narrow.
• A touch on the top of the screen may not be recognized accurately.
