Automatic Water Level Controller for Tank only
These controllers do not need operator for performing start and stop operations. This
automatic water level controller will switch ON the motor when the water level in the tank
becomes low and will switch OFF the motor once the tank becomes full.
Description:
Power ON LED indication is provided.
Below the Power ON indication is the motor ON indication.
The motor gets switched ON automatically when the water level in the tank becomes
low.
The tank starts filling up. When the water reaches the higher level, the TANK FULL LED
indication goes ON and the motor automatically gets switched OFF. Motor ON LED
indication goes OFF.
Manual / Auto mode switch is provided.

Tools required for installation:
2 pair communication cable - Take a rough estimate of the cable length from the Water
Level Controller (WLC) location to the Over Head Tank (OHT)
Multi-strand 1.5 Sq.mm copper power cable –Cable length as per your requirement for
power connection, motor and starter connection
¾ or 1 inch dia PVC Electrical pipe
Insulation tape, Line tester, Wire stripper, Simple hammer, Drill gun, Wooden Gattas, 2
Screws for mounting the WLC on the wall.
Installation steps for Switch/MCB model
Sensor Connection:
Step 1: Immerse the Sensors inside the Over Head Tank (OHT). The Higher Level Sensor
(motor OFF level) must be placed 2 to 3 inches below the 100% level of the OHT
(overflow level). The Lower Level Sensor (motor ON level) must be placed between 25%
- 50% level of the OHT. CN sensor must be placed one feet below the Lower Level Sensor
which is the common sensor for tank. (See Picture3 for reference).
Step 2: Connect the wires of higher level sensor, lower level sensor and CN Sensors to
the corresponding wires of the controller (Wires are labelled for your reference) using
2 pair communication cable as shown in Picture3.
Step 3: Leave some extra wires of the communication cable out of the tank (roughly 1
meter).
Power Connection:
Caution: Switch off the main power while doing the Power Connection steps.
Step 1: Connect Phase and neutral (AC 230V) to red and black (paired) wire of the controller
respectively as shown in the Picture3.
Step 2: Connect Blue pair cable to the switch or MCB in parallel as shown in the Picture4.

Operating procedure:
Power ON LED indication lights up when the controller is in ON condition.
When the water level in the tank is low, motor gets switched ON and the motor ON LED
indication lights up.
The tank starts filling and when the water level reaches the higher level, TANK FULL LED
indication goes ON, motor gets switched OFF. Motor ON LED indication goes OFF.
A black switch is provided for MANUAL / AUTO mode. For the above operation to occur
keep the switch in AUTO mode.
If the switch is placed in the MANUAL mode, the motor will be ON always. So please keep
the switch in AUTO mode.
