Thisfixturewasdesignedforindooruseonly,donotexposethisunittorainorusenearwater.
Whenchoosingtheinstallationspot,pleasemakesurethatthefixtureisnotexposedtoextremeheat,moistureor
dust.
Airventsandslotsinthefixture´sheadandbaseareprovidedforventilation,toensurereliableoperationofthe
deviceandtoprotectitfromoverheating.
Theopeningsshouldneverbecoveredwithclothorothermaterials,andnevermustbeblocked.
Thisfixtureshouldnotbeplacedinabuilt‐ininstallationunlessproperventilationisprovided.
Onlyoperatethefixtureafterhavingcheckedthatthehousingisfirmlyclosedandallscrewsaretightlyfastened.
Alwaysuseasecondarysafetycablewhenmountingthisfixture.

qualifiedforoperatingthefixture.Mostdamagesaretheresultofunprofessionaloperation!

3.1Mountingthefixture
Ensurethatthestructure(truss)towhichyouareattaching
thefixturesissecure.
Thefixtureissupplywithmountingbracketwhichallowstrussinstallationorcanserveasastandforplacing
directlyonthestage.Themountingbracketconsistsoftwopartsanditisdesignedinawaythatnotoolisneeded
toadjustdesiredfixtureposition.

Thefixturecanberiggedinanyorientationonatrusswithoutalteringitsoperationcharacteristics.Theholeinthe
mountingbrackethasadiameterof10mm.
Theinstallationofthefixturehastobebuiltandconstructedinawaythatitcanhold10timestheweightfor1
hourwithoutanyharmingdeformation.
Foroverheaduse,alwaysinstallasafetyropethatcanholdatleast10timestheweightofthefixture.Youmust
onlyusesafetyropewithscrew‐oncarbine.Pullthesafetyropethroughthemountingbracketofthefixtureand
overthetrussingsystem.
3.2Changingthelensarray
TheREDMix3•192hasa25°lens‐arraymodulefittedasstandard,andisalsosuppliedwithaglassholderforfrost
filtersandagridmodule.
Ifyouwishtochangethelensmodule,followthisprocedure:
1.Switchthefixtureoff.
2.Shiftthesecuritylock(1)tothe“open“position(blackmark).
3.Pressandholdthelensmodulelock(2)onthesidecoverofthefixtureheadandgentlyliftthemodule(3)
upwardatthesidewherethislockispressed.
4.Pressandholdthelensmodulelock(2)ontheoppositesideofthefixtureheadandgentlyliftthelensmodule
(3)
fromitsplacingandremoveit.
5.Fitthenewlensmoduleintothefixtureheadandgentlypushitdownwarduntilthemodulesnapsin.
Makesurethatthelensmodulelocks(2)areproperlylocked.
6.Shiftthesecuritylock(1)tothe“locked”position(redmark)tosecurethelensmoduleintheplacing.
Ensurethesecuritylockisinthe“locked”position(REDmark)beforestartingthefixtureoperation.
Itispossibletoinstallaplasticfilmintotheglassholdermoduleinordertogetfrostlight.
1.Uninstallthe25°lens‐arraymodule(1)asdescribedabove.
2.Inserttheplasticfilm(2)intotheslotsunderpartitionsintheglassholdermodule.
3.Installtheglassholdermodulebacktothefixture´sheadasdescribedabove.

Thefixtureisequippedwithboth3‐pinand5‐pinXLRsocketsforDMXinputandoutput.
Onlyuseashieldedtwisted‐
paircabledesignedforRS‐485and3‐pin/5‐pinXLR‐connectorsinordertoconnectthecontrollerwiththefixture
oronefixturewithanother.

1. ConnecttheDMXoutputofthecontrollerdirectlywiththeDMXinputofthefirstfixtureintheDMXchain.
2. ConnecttheDMXoutputofthefirstfixtureintheDMXchainwiththeDMXinputofthenextfixture.
3. AlwaysconnecttheDMXoutputwiththeinputofthenextfixtureuntilallfixturesareconnected.
Donotoverloadthelink.Max.32fixturesmaybeconnectedonaDMXlink.
Caution:Terminatethelinkbyinstallingaterminationplugintheoutputofthelastfixture.Theterminationplugis

3.5Master/slaveconnection
Tobuildamaster/slave‐chain:
ConnecttheDMXoutputofthemasterfixtureinthedatachainwiththeDMXinputofthefirstslave.Always
connectoutputwiththeinputofthenextslaveuntilallslavesareconnected(upto32fixtures).

Caution:ItisnecessarytoinserttheXLRterminationplugs(with120Ohm)intotheinputofthemasterfixtureand
intotheoutputofthelastslaveonthedatalinkinordertoensurethepropertransmissiononthedatalink.
3.6Standaloneoperation
Thefixturesonadatalinkarenotconnectedtothecontrollerbutcanexecutepre‐setprogramswhichcanbe
differentforeveryfixture.Tosettheprogramtobeplayed,seethe"Stand‐alonesetting"(menu"St.AL.").
"Stand‐aloneoperation"canbeappliedtothesinglefixtureortomultiplefixturesoperatingsynchronously.
Synchronousoperationofmultiplefixturesrequiresthattheymustbeconnectedonadatalinkandoneofthemis
setasamaster(mastermode)andtherestastheslaves(slavemode).
Tosetthefixtureasthemasterorslave,seethe"Addressing"(menu"A001").
Onlyonefixturecanbesetasthemaster.
Themasterfixturestartssimultaneousprogramstartintheotherslavefixtures.Allfixtureshaveadefinite,
synchronizedstartingpointwhenplayingbacktheirprograms.Thenumberofrunningprogramisthesameinall
slavesanddependsonthemaster'schoice(menu"St.AL.“).Everyfixturerunsitsprogramrepeatedly,startingthe
programstepNo.1whenrequestedbythemaster.
Example:
Iftheslavefixturehasashorterprogramlength,itwillcontinuouslyrepeatitsprogramuntilthemasterfixture
finishesitsownprogramandrestartsitsprogramrunning(slave1‐prog.step3willnotbefinished).
Iftheslavefixturehasalongerprogramlength,itwillrestartatprog.step1beforeitcompletesallitsprog.steps
(slave2‐prog.step5willnotbeplayed)‐seethepicturebellow.
Note:DisconnectthefixturesfromtheDMXcontrollerbeforemaster/slaveoperating,otherwisedatacollisions

FiLt‐‐‐Filters.Regularcleaningoftheairfiltersisveryimportantforthefixture´slifeandperformance.Cumulation
ofdust,dirtandfogfluidresiduesreducesthefixture´slightoutputandcoolingability.Thetwoitemsofthismenu
helpyoutokeepcleaningperiodoftheairfilters.
AL.PE.‐‐‐Setalertperiod‐cleaningscheduleforthefixturedependsontheoperatingenvironment.
Itisthereforeimpossibletospecifyaccuratecleaninginterval.Thisfunctionallows
youtochangethecleaningintervaloftheairfilters.This“alert“valueis50hoursandit
issetasdefault.Inspectthefixturewithinits50hoursofoperationtoseewhethercleaning
isnecessary.Ifcleaningisrequired,cleanallairfiltersandchangethevalueinthismenu
onacceptablelevel.Min.levelofalertperiodis10hours,max.is300hours.

Synchronousoperationofmultiplefixturesrequiresthattheymustbeconnectedonadatalinkandoneofthemis
