make
it
easier
for
more
people
to
have
fun
with
music,
the
ep-95/ep-85/ep-75
has
firm
roots
in
the
same
leading-edge
technology

manufacturing
know-how
that
has
made
Roland

leader

electronic
musical
instrament
development.
The
ep-95/ep-85/ep-75
provides
8
sounds
and
an
accompa-
niment
section
(called
Pianist)
with
11
inspiring
patterns
for
you
to
have
fun
with.
When
controlled
by
an
external
sequencer
or
computer
with
sequencing
software,
the
ep-95/ep-85/ep-75
can
be
used
as
mullti-
timbral
sound
module
that
conform
to
the
GS
format
(241
sounds,

Drum
Sets).
The
ep-95/ep-85/ep-75
also
provides
additional
features,
including
a
convenient
recording
function.
This
manual
explains
how
to
use
the
ep-95
and
ep-85/ep-75.
Aspects
that
are
only
available
on
the
ep-95
will
be
clearly
marked
as
such.
Please

manual

its

before
starting

In
addition

the
items
listed
under

Power
Supply

Do
not
use
this
instrument
on
the
same
power
circuit
with
devices
that
will
generate
line
noise
(such
as
an
electric
motor
or
variable
lighting
system).

connecting
the

to
other
devices,
turn
off

power

all

This
will
help
prevent
malfunctions

For
everyday
cleaning
wipe

instrument

a
soft,
dry
cloth

one
that
has
been
slightly
dampened

remove
stubborn
dirt,

a
mild,
non-abrasive

sure
to
wipe
the
instrument
thoroughly
with
a
soft,
dry
cloth.

instrument

sent

repairs,

is

circuitry

memory

is
out
of

you

the

louder

head-

suggest
you
first
set
the
[VOLUME]
slider
to
the
MIN
position
and
then
gradually
increase
the
volume.
Please
bear
in
mind
that
lis-
tening
at
excessive
volumes
for
an
extended
peri-
od
of
time
may
cause
lasting
damage
to
your
hearing.

These
buttons
allow
you
to
set
the
Pianist’s
level
(see
below)
relative
that
of
the
sound
assigned
to
the
keyboard.
You
can
also
use
them
to
establish
the
desired
balance
between
the
two
sounds
you
assigned
to
the
keyboard
(using
two
sounds
simultaneously
is
called
layering).
Press
the
&
button
to
increase
the
volume
of
the
accompani-
ment
or
layered
sound,
or
the
¥
button
to
decrease
it.
4.
Style
selection
buttons
These
buttons
allow
you
to
select
the
desired
accompaniment.
To
select
a
Style
whose
name
appears
below
these
buttons,
you
need
to
press
two
buttons
simultaneously.

TEMPO
indicators
These
indicators
flash
to
indicate
the
time
signa-
ture
and
tempo
of
the
selected
Style.
The
red
indicator
flashes
on
every
downbeat
of
a
mea-
sure.
Depending
on
the
Style
you
selected,
not
all
indicators
may
be
used.
If
you
select
the
SL
WALTZ
Style,
for
instance,
only
the
first
three
indicators
will
flash
