take the battery apart or to break it open as there is a danger of damage to the skin and burns from the battery acid.

Checks before starting to clean the pond
• Check that the brush is easy to rotate.
• Remove any weed, string or similar material which may be wound around the brush, disconnecting the battery beforehand.
• Before starting up the appliance, check that all cable connections are correctly in place and are in perfect condition.
• Only use the appliance for the tasks it has been designed for.
• Always hold the appliance with both hands.
• Never lay the appliance down before switching it off.
Attaching the brush head to the telescopic rod
Before attaching, keep an eye on the spiral cable held by a velcro strap at the end of the rod. Be absolutely sure not to lose
hold of this cable when releasing the velcro strap but screw the connecting plug immediately into the socket on the brush.
Take care! If the strap retaining the cable is released before connecting up the plug, the cable can slip back into the telescopic
rod. After connecting up the cable, push the BIBER 22 BRUSH adaptor together with the cable into the telescopic rod and fix it
there with the wing nuts. Keep the Velcro strap and if dismantling the appliance, use the strap to fix the cable to the rod as it
was originally.
Attaching the battery to the speed control unit and the
telescopic rod
First attach the battery to the speed control unit and then to the
telescopic rod. Make sure that the connecting plugs are attached
exactly and secured with the lock nut. Please do not hold or turn the
plugs using the blue ends.

Working with the BIBER 22 BRUSH
The BIBER BRUSH is designed to clean surfaces under water. In particular on level walls or floors, the brush rotates to pull
itself towards the surface to be cleaned, thus improving the cleaning efficiency and generally reducing the amount of effort
required from the user. It is no longer necessary to press hard, indeed this could damage the drive. With its built-in suction
connection, the BIBER BRUSH can be attached to suction hoses with a diameter of 50 as well as 38 mm. The immediate
suction removal means that the dirt is removed through the slits in the brush and a clear view in the water is maintained. A
clouding of the water is for the most part avoided. Using the speed control unit, you have the possibility of choosing three
different speeds in every direction. The chosen rotation speed is indicated by an LED light.
For the wall areas we recommend a faster, for horizontal use the rather slower rotation speed. In order to avoid scratching
sensitive materials such as foil, we recommend starting with the yellow Vacu-grip brush attachment. However, you can
also use harder Vacu-grip brushes in red = medium hard or green/red = hard. This is to be recommended for older or more
encrusted dirt. The loaded battery can be carried comfortably using the special belt provided, where you can clip the battery
into the battery holder. The BIBER BRUSH can now be steered with the telescopic rod and the cleaning of the pond or pool
surfaces systematically carried out.
Changing the Vacu-grip brush
Take care! Before starting any maintenance work on the BIBER BRUSH, disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
Changing the brush can be easily carried out using the brush remover (1). Place the brush remover on the notch (2) which is
indicated by the arrow (3). Using the brush remover, lever the brush upwards (4) and remove the brush from the drive shaft.
To attach the brush, put the brush in place where the arrow meets a notch and then press firmly down so that the brush
clicks into place.
Maintenance and cleaning the BIBER 22 BRUSH
WARNING! Before carrying out any maintenance work on the appliance, always disconnect it from the power supply. Clean
the appliance after use. If the cable plug on the appliance is dirty, clean it with a high pressure air hose or a soft brush.
Clean the outer casing of the appliance with a clean and dry cloth. Do not use any water around the switches or to clean the
battery. Make sure the grips are dry, clean and free from oil and fat.
Check the battery for damage. Check that the charging unit is undamaged and functional. Check that the carrying strap is not
damaged. Make sure that all connections and cables are clean and intact.
If the appliance starts to vibrate, it must be removed from use. Switch the appliance off and remove the battery before
removing any material that might be wound around the brush.
Transport and storage of the BIBER 22 BRUSH
• During transport, make sure the appliance is secured.
• The appliance should be switched off before transporting and stored in the packaging provided.
• Store the battery and the charging unit in a dry place free of damp and frost.
• The battery should not be stored in rooms where electrostatic energy could be discharged. Never store the battery in a
metal case.
• Store the battery and the charging unit in a place where the surrounding temperature is between 0 and 30 °C and where
they are not exposed to direct sunlight.
• Keep the appliance in a lockable room out of the reach of children and anyone who is not authorized.
• Before storing for a longer period, make sure that the appliance is completely clean and fully maintained and that the battery
is fully charged.

Problems if the brush does not function
• The battery is not charged up.
• The battery is not correctly installed in the battery holder.
• The plug connections are not properly connected.
• The brush plate is blocked by foreign matter.
• The speed control has not yet been switched on, please note that the brush activity starts after a slight delay.
• For test purposes, the brush head can be attached directly to the battery. This cuts out the switch unit and the
telescopic rod,
thus excluding them from the search for any defect.
