THE
STATIONARY
VISE

width

vise

stop

By
raising

lowering

stop
bolt

mm
wrench
youcancontrol
howfarthe
abrasive
wheel
travels
when
the
machine
handle
isdepressed.
This
feature
is
particularly
useful:
. to increase
wheeltravel
as the abrasive
wheel
wears,
to "cinch-up"
the
machine's
handle
against
tire
i.rarrspori
chain
when
moving
the
machine
or
during
storage,
to
limittravel
of
theabrasive
wheel,
especially
usefulafter
installation
of a newabrasive
wheel.
TRANSPORT
CHAIN
The
transportchain
isattachedto
the
machinebase
and
machine
arm,
behind
the
motor,
and
is
only
used
for carrying
the cut-off
machine
(Figure
9). Also
attached
to the machine
armis a metal
hook. To
transport
orstore
the
cut-offmachine,
lowerthe
handle
and
loop
one
of
the
chain's
links
over
the
hook.

OPERATING
POWER
SUPPLY
Before
operating
your,cut-off
machine,
check
your
power
supplyand
make
sure
it
meets
the
requirements
listed
onthe
nameplate.
A
substantial
voltage
drop
will
causealoss
of
power
andmachine
overheating.
Common causes
of power loss and machine
overheating
areinsufficient
extension
cordsizeand
multipletoolsoperating
from
the
same
power
source.
SWITCH
To
startthe
tool.
completely
depress
the
trigger
switch
located
inthernachine
handle
(Figure
10).
To
stop
the
tool,
release
the
triggerswitch
completely.
For continuousoperation,
completelydepress
the
triggerswitchand,
whileholdingitin
place
(tool
running),
depress
thetrigger
lock-on
buttonlocated
to
the
leftof
tnetriggerswitchon
the
tool
handle
(Figure10).
To discontinuecontinuous operation
whenusing
the
triggerlock-on
feature,completelydepress
the
onlott
triggerswitchand
then
releaseit. This action
will
disengage
thetrigger
lock-onfeature.
