GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS
WARNING
When using the product, the safety rules must be
followed. For your own safety and that of bystanders,
please read these instructions before operating the
product. Please keep the instructions safe for later use.
WARNING
This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
TRAINING
ŶNever allow children or people unfamiliar with the
instructions to use the product.
ŶKeep the area clear of all bystanders, children and pets
while trimming. Stop machine if anyone enters the area.
ŶNever operate the product when you are tired, ill or
under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medicine.
ŶUse the product for cutting grass and light weeds only.
Do not use for any other purpose.
ŶKeep in mind that the operator or user is responsible
for accidents or hazards occurring to other people or
their property.
ELECTRICAL
ŶAvoid unintentional starting. Always check that the
switch is in Off position before plugging in the tool to the
power supply. Do not carry a plugged-in product with
your finger on the switch.
ŶElectrical power should be supplied via a residual
current device (RCD) with a tripping current of not more
than 30 mA.
ŶBefore use, examine the power cord or extension cable
for damage. If there are signs of damage, it must be
replaced by a qualified service technician.
ŶDo not use the product if the electric cables are
damaged or worn.
ŶIf the power cord or extension cable becomes
damaged during use, disconnect from the power supply
immediately. Do not touch the electric cables until the
power supply has been disconnected. Do not repair.
Replace only with identical electric cable.
ŶExtension cable must be uncoiled during use. Coiled
cables can overheat.
ŶMake sure the power cord is positioned so that it will not
be stepped on, tripped over or otherwise subjected to
damage or stress.
ŶNever carry the product by the power cord.
ŶNever pull by the power cord to disconnect from the
power supply.
ŶKeep the power cord away from heat, oil and sharp
edges.
ŶMake sure voltage is correct for the product. A
nameplate on the product indicates the product’s
voltage. Never connect the product to an AC voltage
that differs from this voltage.
ŶMake sure the switch is in Off position before
disconnecting from power supply.
ŶFor storage, always disconnect from power supply and
wind cable.
PREPARATION
ŶAlways wear protective non-slip footwear and long
trousers.
ŶBefore use, check that there are no damaged parts. A
defective switch or any part that is damaged should be
properly repaired or replaced by an authorized service
facility.
ŶConsider the environment in which you are working.
Keep the working area free from wires, sticks, stones
and debris.
ŶMake sure the trimmer head is properly installed and
securely fastened.
ŶMake sure all guards, deflectors and handles are
properly and securely attached.
OPERATION
ŶAvoid using machine in bad weather, especially if there
is risk of lightning.
ŶUse the product in daylight or good artificial light.
ŶAvoid using on wet grass.
ŶKeep proper footing and balance at all times.
ŶDo not walk backwards when trimming.
ŶWalk, never run.
ŶKeep the trimmer head below waist level.
ŶDo not cut on surfaces other than grass on ground.
ŶNever operate the product with damaged guards or
without guards in place.
ŶNever fit a metal replacement line.
ŶKeep hands and feet away from the cutting means at
all times and especially when switching on the product.
ŶNever pick up or carry the product by the electric cable.
ŶBeware of objects thrown by the cutting line.
ŶSwitch off and disconnect from the power supply before:
–servicing
–leaving the product unattended
–cleaning the product

–changing accessories
–checking for any damage after hitting an object
–checking for any damage if the product starts to
vibrate abnormally
–performing maintenance
ŶWear protective glasses or goggles.
ŶTake care against injury from any device fitted for
trimming the filament line length.
ŶDisconnect the machine from the mains before
checking, cleaning or working on the machine and
when it is not in use.
ŶAlways ensure that ventilation openings are kept clear
of debris.
MAINTENANCE
ŶAfter use, disconnect the machine from the mains and
check for damage.
ŶUse only genuine replacement parts and accessories.
ŶAfter extending new cutter line, always return the
product to its normal operating position before switching
on.
ŶAfter each use, clean with a soft dry cloth.
ŶCheck the product regularly to make sure that it will
operate properly and perform the intended function.
Any part that is damaged should be properly repaired
or replaced by an authorized service centre.
ŶWhen not in use, the product should be stored in a cool
dry place and locked up out of the reach of children. Do
not store outdoors.
Inspection after dropping or other impacts
Thoroughly inspect the product and identify any affections
or damage with it. Any part that is damaged should be

centre.
INTENDED USE
This product is only intended for use outdoors. The product
is designed for cutting grass and light weeds only in private
garden areas.
Line trimmer
The product is intended for cutting long grass, pulpy weed,
similar vegetation at or about ground level.
Edger
The product is intended for cutting neat edges to grass
lawns.
The product should not be used to cut or trim hedges,
bushes or other vegetation where the cutting plane is not
parallel to the ground surface.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Recycle raw materials instead of disposing
of as waste. The machine, accessories and
packaging should be sorted for environmental-
friendly recycling.
