User Operating Instructions

Available users, default codes and permissions
Super Master Reset Code (Optional)
•Default code: 5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5
•To activate the Super Master Reset Code, it must
be changed before the Manager code is changed.
The code can then be used to reset the lock if the
Manager code is lost.
Manager
•Default code: 1-2-3-4-5-6
•Open the lock, change own code
•Manage the user (Add, delete, disable, enable)
User (Optional)
•Default code: None, the user is deleted and can
be added by the Manager
•Open the lock, change own code
Warning: The Manager code should be changed
from the default to prevent unauthorised access.
Visual and acoustic signals
Beep + LED flash:
Button pressed correctly
Double beep + double LED flash:
Code or command entered correctly
Triple beep and triple LED flash:
Code or command entered incorrectly
Open the lock Manager/User
Depending on the construction of the safe or vault,
other locks such as key locksmay need to be opened
first.
•Enter a valid 6-digit code A double beep will sound
if accepted
•Within 4 seconds, turn the keypad and/or turn the
safe handle
Any actions required to open the door and lock
should be reversed to close and secure the door and
lock.
Change code Manager/User
Opening codes should be changed and tested with
the safe or vault door open where possible.
Method 1
•Enter 0-0-0-0-0-0 A double beep will sound, and
the LED will stay on
•Enter the current code A double beep will sound
•Enter the new code A double beep will sound
•Enter the new code again to confirm A double
beep will sound, and the LED will turn off
Method 2
•Enter the currentcode and hold down the last digit
for 3 seconds A second set of double beeps will
sound and the LED will stay on
•Press 0 A double beep will sound
•Enter the new code A double beep will sound
•Enter the new code again to confirm A double
beep will sound, and the LED will turn off
Test the new code whilst the door is open.
Add User Manager
•Enter the Manager code and hold down the last
digit for 3 seconds A second set of double beeps
will sound and the LED will stay on
•Press 1 A double beep will sound
•Enter the new user code A double beep will sound
•Enter the new user code again to confirm A double
beep will sound, and the LED will turn off
Delete User Manager
If the User’s code is no longer required, it can be
deleted
•Enter the Manager code and hold down the last
digit for 3 seconds A second set of double beeps
will sound and the LED will stay on
•Press 3 A double beep will sound and the LED will
turn off
Disable User Manager
The User code can be temporarily disabled.
•Enter the Manager code and hold down the last
digit for 3 seconds A second set of double beeps
will sound and the LED will stay on
•Press 2 A double beep will sound and the LED will
turn off
Re-enable User Manager
If the User code has previously been disabled, it can
be re-enabled.
•Enter the Manager code and hold down the last
digit for 3 seconds A second set of double beeps
will sound and the LED will stay on
•Press 1 A double beep will sound and the LED will
turn off
Change Super Master Reset Code SMRC
The Super Master Reset Code can be used to reset
the lock to factory settings. To activate it, it must be
changed before the Manager code is changed.
•Press and hold 0 for 3 seconds A second set of
double beeps will sound and the LED will stay on
•Enter the default code 5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5 and hold
down the last digit for 3 seconds A double beep
will sound
•Press 0 A double beep will sound
•Enter the new code A double beep will sound
•Enter the new code again to confirm A double
beep will sound, and the LED will turn off
Turn on backlight
A button backlight can be turned on to provide a
guide in dark areas.
•Press or
Reset the lock SMRC
If the Super Master Reset Code has been activated
because it was changed before the Manager code
was changed, it can be used to reset the lock. After
reset, the Manager code defaults to 1-2-3-4-5-6, the
user code is deleted, and Super Master Reset Code
remains the same.
•Press and hold 0 for 3 seconds A second set of
double beeps will sound and the LED will stay on
•Enter the Super Master Reset Code and hold
down the last digit for 3 seconds A double beep
will sound
•Press 8 A double beep will sound and the LED will
turn off
The lock has now been reset, test the Manager code
1-2-3-4-5-6.
Change the batteries
•To eject the battery tray, depress the button at the
location shown on the edge of the keypad
•Remove the battery tray
•Replace both batteries with high quality alkaline
9v batteries ensuring the terminals match to the
indications embossed into the battery tray
•Re-insert the battery tray
Troubleshooting
5 beeps sound during opening
(Low battery warning)
Change both batteries with only high quality 9v
alkaline batteries.
5 beeps sound on a key press
(No lock found)
The keypad is unable to detect the lock. There may
be damage to the cable, contact a safe engineer.
10 beeps sound on a key press
(Critical low battery warning)
There is insufficient power to open the lock. Change
both batteries with only high quality 9v alkaline
batteries.
LED flash every 10 seconds
(Penalty)
The lock is in penalty caused by 4 consecutive
incorrect code entries. Wait for the 5-minutes penalty
period to elapse. After the penalty has elapsed, 2
further wrong codes will again initiate a penalty. The
trigger will reset after a valid code has been entered.
The key does not beep when pressed
(Depleted batteries or Penalty)
The batteries may be completely depleted. Change
both batteries with only high quality 9v alkaline
batteries. If the LED flashes every 10 seconds the
lock is in penalty.
3 beeps sounds during code or command entry
The code or command has not been entered
correctly, re-enter.
If a mistake is made during code or command
entry
Wait 30 seconds and repeat the code or command
The safe or vault door does not open
If the lock system is otherwise operating normally,
there may be a mechanical fault with the safe.
Contact a safe engineer.
