1. INTRODUCTION

1.1. Security Information
•
Do not switch on the telephone when its use is prohibited or when it
may cause interference and dangerous situations.
•
Switch off the phone inside hospitals and/or near medical equipment.
•
Activate aeroplane mode during a flight. Mobile phones can cause
interference with on-board equipment. In any case, follow the
instructions received on board.
•
Do not use a mobile phone while driving. In any case, follow the
current traffic regulations.

Switch off the phone when refuelling. Do not use the phone near
fuels or chemicals.
•
Switch off the phone in the vicinity of explosive materials.
•
Do not use the telephone to report gas leaks in the vicinity of the
leak.
•
Keep a minimum distance of 15 cm between the mobile phone and
the pacemaker to avoid any possible interference with the
pacemaker. Avoid carrying the mobile phone in a breast pocket. Hold
the mobile phone on the ear opposite the medical equipment.
•
Keep the phone and its accessories (such as the SIM card) out of the
reach of children.
•
Do not use the telephone in the vicinity of heat sources (radiators,
cookers, heaters).
•
Do not put any objects or liquids inside the product.

The product contains no serviceable parts: do not open the container.
In case of need, contact specialised service personnel.
•
Use only original batteries, chargers and accessories. The use of
unauthorised accessories could cause damage to the phone and be
dangerous.
Never use damaged batteries and chargers.
•
Do not short-circuit the battery.
•
Always disconnect the mains adapter before cleaning.
•
Keep this manual for future reference.
•
The product is guaranteed against all possible manufacturing defects,
as further specified in the guarantee conditions.

2. COMMISSIONING THE
SMARTPHONE
2.1. Insert SIM
If the smartphone is switched on, switch it off before performing this operation.
1. Open the 'SIM & TF-CARD' flap at the top left. Insert the supplied tool into the
hole next to the flap and press lightly to release the SIM holder slide. Pull out the
SIM holder slide.
2. Place the nano-sized SIM in the slide with the contacts facing upwards.
3. Fully insert the SIM holder slide into the phone, holding the phone with the
display facing downwards.
4. Close the 'SIM & TF-CARD' flap to restore the IP68 protection of the
phone.

2.2. Insert microSD card (optional)
If the smartphone is switched on, switch it off before performing this operation.
1. Open the 'SIM & TF-CARD' flap at the top left. Insert the supplied tool into the
hole next to the flap and press lightly to release the SIM holder slide. Pull out the
SIM holder slide.
2. Place the microSD in the slide with the contacts facing upwards.
3. Fully insert the SIM holder slide into the phone, holding the phone with the
display facing downwards.
4. Close the 'SIM & TF-CARD' flap to restore the IP68 protection of the
phone.
2.3. Battery charging
Before using the smartphone, the battery must be recharged.
1. Open the flap on the underside of the smartphone.
2. Plug the charger connector into the socket on the underside of the smartphone.
3. Connect the charger to a 230V ac mains socket. The
battery icon on the display indicates the charging status.

4. When charging is complete, disconnect the charger from the 230V mains
socket, then unplug the charger connector from its socket on the smartphone.
5. Close the flap to restore the IP68 protection of the phone.
Note: When the battery is completely discharged, the smartphone displays a
warning message and automatically switches off. In this case, it is not possible
to switch the smartphone back on and when charging it, you may have to wait a
few minutes before the display lights up and shows the battery icon indicating
charging status.
Attention: Only use original chargers and rechargeable batteries of
the type indicated in the manual, the use of other batteries may result
in
dangerous for the user and damage the telephone.

3. SMARTPHONE USE
3.1. Switching the smartphone on/off
To switch on, press and hold the [ON/OFF] button on the right side of the
smartphone.
To switch off press and hold the [ON/OFF] button on the right side of the
smartphone, the screen displays some options, tap OFF.
Caution: When switching on the smartphone for the first time, follow
the on-screen instructions to set it up.
3.2. Activating/deactivating the screen
Press the [ON/OFF] button to switch the screen on and off.

The screen switches off automatically when not in use for a certain period of time
(settable).
3.3. Unlocking the screen
Touch the screen and slide upwards (lock open) to unlock.
3.4. Basic operations
3.4.1. Home screen
Tap the [Home] button, central round button at the bottom of the screen, to
return to the Home screen.
Other screens are located next to the Home screen, touch the screen and scroll left
and right to view them.
To customise the screens with your favourite applications (Apps), from the
Home screen tap on the screen and scroll up to display all

the available Apps. Tap and press on the App and drag it to the Home screen or
one next to it.
3.4.2. Notification Panel
At the top of the screen is the Notifications Panel, where information such as
missed calls, new messages, events, device status etc. is displayed.
Tap the bar at the top of the screen and drag downwards to open the Notification
Panel. Drag the bar upwards to close.
3.4.3. Quick Activations
By opening the Notifications Panel, tapping it and sliding down further, you
access the Quick Activations Panel, which allows you to quickly activate
and deactivate certain functions by simply tapping on their icons.

To add functions to the panel, tap the pencil symbol to display the available
functions. Press and hold and drag the function to add it to the Quick Activations
Panel.
Functions:
Screen brightness, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Airplane mode, Torch, Mobile data, Power
saving, Do not disturb, Auto-rotate, Geolocation Hotspot, Mobile data, etc.
From the Quick Activations panel, you can also access the Settings (cogwheel).

3.4.4. Keys on the navigation bar
Home: Central round button, to return to the Home screen.
Back: triangular key to return to the previous screen.
Recent Apps: square button to view recent apps.
Select DELETE ALL to delete the list.
To choose a different key configuration, go to phone settings (cogwheel) and
choose Navigation bar. Select the desired configuration.

3.5. How to make a call
Tap the Phone App
Tap the symbol in the bottom right-hand corner, dial the number. If
you make a mistake, press the X symbol next to the number
Touch the green handset symbol in the bottom right-hand corner
At the end of the conversation, tap the red handset symbol
Note: To call a number in the phonebook after opening the Phone App, tap the
Contacts symbol in the bottom right-hand corner, tap the contact, tap the
handset symbol. See also section Calling a contact in the phonebook.

3.6. Answering a call
Slide the green handset symbol upwards to answer or slide downwards
to reject. To mute the ringer, press the volume control keys on the upper right
side.
At the end of the conversation, tap the red handset symbol to end the call.
3.7. Speakerphone
During the conversation to activate/deactivate the speakerphone, tap the symbol
Speaker.
