1. Installation
1-1 Refrigerant Refill Procedure
Refill an air-conditioner with refrigerant when refrigerant has been leaked at installing or using
1. Purge air(for new installation only).
3. Connect the tank to refill with Refrigerant
4. Set the unit to cool operation mode.
7. Stop operation of the air conditioner.
9. Close the cap of each valve.
2. Turn the 3-way valve clockwise to close, connect the
pressure gauge(low pressure side) to the service valve,
and open the 3-way valve again.
5. Check the pressure indicated by the pressure gauge(low
pressure side).
* Standard pressure is should be 4.5~5.5kg/cm2in a
regular, high operation mode.
6. Open the refrigerant tank and fill with refrigerant until
the rated pressure is reached.
* It is recommended not to pour the refrigerant in too
quickly, but gradually while operating a pressure valve.
8. Close the 3-way valve, disconnect the pressure gauge,
and open the 3-way valve again.

1-2 “Pump down” Procedure
Relocation of the air conditioner
• Refer to this procedure when the unit is
relocated.
1. Carry out the pump down procedure
(refer to the details of 'pump down').
2. Remove the power cord.
3. Disconnect the assembly cable from the
indoor and outdoor units.
4. Remove the flare nut connecting the
indoor unit and the pipe.
At this time, cover the pipe of the indoor
unit and the other pipe using a cap or
vinyl plug to avoid foreign material
entering.
5. Disconnect the pipe connected to the
outdoor unit.
At this time, cover the valve of the
outdoor unit and the other pipe using
a cap or vinyl plug to avoid foreign
material entering.
6. Make sure you do not bend the connection
pipes in the middle and store together
with the cables.
7. Move the indoor and outdoor units to a
new locatioon.
8. Remove the mounting plate for the indoor
unit and move it to a new location.
Pump down' shall be carried out when an evaporator is replaced or when the unit is relocated in
another area.
1. Remove the caps from the each valve.
3. Set the unit to cool operation mode (Check if the compressor
is operating.)
5 When the pressure gauge indicates "0" turn the 3-way
valve clockwise to close.
4. Turn the left side valve(A) clockwise to close.
6. Stop operation of the air conditioner.
7. Close the cap of each valve.
2 Turn the 3-way valve clockwise to close and connect a pres-
sure gauge(low pressure side) to the service valve, and open
the 3-way valve again.

2-1-2(a) PANEL key type and functions

- Each time the button is pressed(ON), the mode is changed in the following order:
“auto cool fan”(standard=auto)

Fan speed Setting of the indoor fan motor speed TACT
selection - Each time the button is pressed ON, the mode is changed in the following order:
“low medium high”(standard=high)
Temperature(time) Increase the desired temperature(current time) TACT
setting(up) - Temperature: When pressing the button(UP) one time,
the desired temperature is increased by the unit of 1°C.(18°C- 30°C)
- Time: When pressing the button(UP) one time, the time is increased by 1 minute.
If the “UP” button is pressed continuously, the time is increased by 10 minutes.
- One short, and continued operation
Temperature(time) Decrease the desired temperature (current time) TACT
setting(down) - Temperature: When pressing the button(DOWN) one time,
the desired temperature is decreased by the unit of 1°F. (65°F- 86°F),(1°C.(18°C- 30°C))
- Time: When pressing the button(DOWN) one time, the time is decreased by 1 minute.
If the “DOWN” button is pressed continuously, the time is decreased by 10 minutes.
- One short, and continued operation
TIME/TEMP. The temperature and current time can be changed. TACT
SELECTION - If the key is pressed 1 time, current temperature
and desired temperature are displayed.
- If the key is pressed again, current time is displayed.

- If the operation is changed to “on”, the lamp stops turning on and off and
continues to remain on.
- If the operation is changed to “off”, then LED off.

3. Disassembly and reassembly
3-1 Indoor unit

1) Open the inlet grille and remove the
connection ring.
1) Separate the PCB connect wire after
separating the control box cover.
2) Separate the connection wire to separate the
front cover and duct.
3) The main PCB should be separated by turn over
the mountain tab.

1) The front cabi should be separated by giving
strength downward after loosening 2 screws at
the lower end.
1) The plate top should be separated by loosening
screws.

1) First loosen screws at left and right sides of
grille out.
2) Then the ass’y grille out should be separated
by giving strength upward (↑).
1) First loosen the 4 screws at left and right sides.
2) Then the ass’y duct should be separated by
lifting it.

Evaporator
*1) First separate the cover after loosening the
screws fixed at evap cover R.
2) Ten separate the 3 screws fixed at cabinet BKT
of evaporator BKT.
3) Evaporator should be separated by flinging
ahead.
