These warning signs are designed for preventing you and others from being
damaged. Please strictly follow the above instructions.
After you finished reading this part, please keep it properly for future reference.
•This refrigerator must be properly installed and located in accordance with the
manual before it is used.
•Use this appliance only for its intended purpose as described in this user manual.
•We strongly recommend that any servicing should be performed by a qualifed
individual.
•Check the compressor label or the circuit diagram at the rear of the appliance to
see which refrigerant is used for the refrigerator.
Prior to using the refrigerator, please carefully read this manual and keep it in a
safe place near the refrigerator for future reference.
As the following operation instructions apply to various models, the properties of
your refrigerator may be slightly different from those described herein.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Risk of fire / flammable materials

•In case of R600a refrigerant, it is natural gas with high environmental
compatibility but also combustible.When transporting and installing
the appliance, care should be taken to ensure that no parts of the
refrigerating circuit are damaged.
•Refrigerant squirting out of the pipes could ignite or cause an eye
injury. If a leak is detected, avoid any naked flames or potential sources
of ignition and air the room in which the appliance is standing for
several minutes.
•In order to prevent the inflammable gas from producing due to the mixing of
air and refrigerant leaked from the refrigerating circuit, the size of the room
for accommodating the refrigerator shall be selected based on the quantity
of the refrigerant.
•In case any damage sign is displayed, do not start the appliance up. Please
consult your distributor for any questions.
•The room must be 1m3in size for every 8g of R600a refrigerant inside the
appliance.
•For the consumption of refrigerant, refer to the rating label of your
refrigerator.
•Please dispose of the packaging material for this product in an
environmentally friendly manner.
•Do not change the parts in the refrigerator at random.
SEVERE WARNING SIGNS
WARNING
•Do not connect several electric appliances to the same multifunctional socket.
- Otherwise, fire hazard may be caused.
•Avoid placing the power plug at a place very close to the rear part of the
refrigerator to ensure that the power plug will not be crushed or damaged.
- A damaged power plug may cause a fire disaster due to overheating.
•Water is forbidden to be splashed or flow onto the refrigerator.
- There is a danger of fire or electric shock.
•Do not place heavy objects, or microwave oven, electric cooker and other electric
appliances which give out heat, on the power cord.
- There is a danger of short circuit or fire.
•Do not plug or unplug the power plug when the hand is wet.
- Otherwise, electric shock may be caused.
•Do not place a container full of water at the top of the refrigerator.
- If the water splashes, there is a danger of fire or electric shock.

•Do not store in the refrigerator or use near the refrigerator the volatile or flammable
materials.
- Such materials as benzene, thinner, ethanol, ethyl ether, LP gas, etc. may cause
explosion.
•
Do not disassemble or repair the refrigerator by yourself.
- There is a danger of fire, malfunction or personal injury.
•Do not replace LED lamp privately; please contact the specialized serviceman if
necessary.
•If you are going to dispose of the refrigerator, first dismantle the refrigerator door
and sealing elements before throwing it away.
- This prevents the children from being locked in the refrigerator.
•The refrigerator must be grounded.
- To prevent any power consumption or electric shock caused by electric leakage
from the refrigerator.
•Never use gas pipes, telephone lines or other potential lightening rods as
grounding point.
- Improper use of grounding plug may result in electric shock.
•When positioning the appliance, ensure the supply cord is not trapped or
damaged.
•Do not locate multiple portable socket-outlets or portable power supplies at the
rear of the appliance.
•If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
•Keep ventilation openings, in the appliance enclosure or in the built-in structure,
clear of obstruction.
•Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting
process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
•Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
•Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments of the
appliance, unless they are of the type recommended by the manufacturer.
•Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a flammable
propellant in this appliance.

- When the door is opened, the food may fall off to cause personal injury or
material damage.
•Do not put bottles or glass containers in the freezer compartment.
- Do not put glass products in the freezer compartment, because such products
may be broken due to expansion of the substances in them when being frozen.
•If the power plug is loosen, do not connect it.
- There is a danger of electric shock or fire.

•Do not unplug the power plug by pulling the power cord.
- A damaged power cord may cause short circuit, fire or electric shock.
- A damaged power cord can only be replaced by the manufacturer, approved
maintenance agent or qualified maintenance personnel.
•Do not store objects on the top of the refrigerator.
- When the compartment door is closed or opened, objects may fall off to cause
personal injury or material damage.
•Do not store pharmaceutical products, scientific materials or other products that
are sensitive to temperature in the refrigerator.
- Do not store the products that has a strict requirement on storage temperature
in the refrigerator.
•In case of initial powering on, the food cannot be put in the refrigerator until it is
cooled sufficiently and the food shall not be placed near the temperature sensor.
- So as not to influence the correct temperature display.
•Children are not allowed to play with or climb the refrigerator.
- So as not to damage the refrigerator or harm the children.Do not insert your
hand into the gap at the axis side with door opened.
- In order to avoid personal injury.
•Do not touch the shelf evaporator in the freezer compartment with wet hands.
- In order to avoid hands sticking to the refrigerator due to freezing of water,
resulting in personal injury.
•The refrigerant is used to achieve refrigeration, and is filled in the refrigerator via
special processing technology. Therefore, make sure the pipelines behind the
refrigerator are intact.
•If abnormal noise, odor or smog is found, immediately unplug the power plug and
contact the nearest Samsung electronics service center.
•When cleaning the plug, do not use wet cloth to remove foreign matters on the
pins of the power plug.
- There is a danger of burning or fire.
•Do not insert your hands into the bottom of the refrigerator.
- The sharp edges may cause personal injury.
•
If the refrigerator is not in use for a long time, please unplug the power plug.
- Aging of insulating materials may cause fire.
•
Keep the air vent and air duct in the refrigerator clean and prevent them from being
blocked.
•In addition to the methods suggested by the manufacturer, please do not quicken
the defrosting process with the mechanical device or any other methods.
•Do not damage the refrigeration system and circuit.
•Do not use other electronics in the refrigerator except those recommended by the
manufacturer.
•Do not place the vegetable oil in the bottle rack of the refrigerator. Otherwise,

the oil will be solidified to produce putrid odor and difficult to use. Moreover, the
opened container will leak oil, breaking the bottle rack. The container of vegetable
oil shall preferably be placed in a cool place after opening, such as cupboard or
pantry.
- Examples of vegetable oil categories: olive oil, corn oil, grape seed oil, etc.
•Some models of the refrigerator have protective film on surface which can prevent
the refrigerator from being scratched in the process of transportation. In order to
avoid static electricity, please tear the protective film off slowly. If the protective
film is not removed for a long time, color difference of the steel plate may be
caused.
•This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such
as
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environmen
- farm houses and by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type
environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments;
- catering and similar non-retail applications.

Assembling your three-door refrigerator
INSTALLING THE REFRIGERATOR
*Dimensions of this appliance (mm)
NOTE
•The measurements here are based on the design dimension,which may differ
depending on measuring method.
Before use, please remove all packaging assemblies, including inner adhesive
tape, etc., and make sure that the foam
mattresses of the refrigerator are removed.
1. The floor for placing the refrigerator shall be flat
and solid.
If the refrigerator is not placed level, rotate the
adjusting leg under the refrigerator to adjust
the level (rotate anticlockwise to raise the
refrigerator).
For safety reasons, the refrigerator shall be placed with the front slightly
higher than the rear.
2. Leave enough space for placing the refrigerator.
The distance between the rear & sides of the refrigerator and the walls
shall be no less than 55mm, and the height at the top shall be no less than
300mm.

INSTALLING THE REFRIGERATOR
Assembling your three-door refrigerator
3. Clean the refrigerator.
Clean inside and outside of the refrigerator with warm
wet cloth (a small amount of neutral detergent can be
added in the warm water).
4. Connect the power plug after resting for 2 hours,
note that operations shall follow the indications on
the refrigerator.
Grounding of this appliance
WARNING
•This appliance must be grounded before use.
- To avoid any power consumption or electric shock caused by electric leakage
from this appliance.
- Never use gas pipes, telephone lines or other potential lightening rods as
grounding terminal.
•Never use an ungrounded power socket.
- Connect the ground wire (yellow-green or green).

PREPARATIONS BEFORE USE

By completing the following steps, the refrigerator should be fully operational. If
not, first check the power supply and electricity source. If you have any further
questions, please contact the nearest Samsung service center.
1. Install the shelves and containers which are dismantled for transportation at
correct locations.
2. Clean all compartments and accessories and remove the dust accumulated
during packaging and shipping.
3. Once the refrigerator is powered on, make sure the interior light comes
on when you open the door of fridge compartment or interchangeable
temperature compartment (optional).
4. After being powered on for one hour, the refrigerator will be cool slightly. And
the compressor should run smoothly with gentle buzz.
5. Once the refrigerator temperature is sufficiently cool, you can store food in
the refrigerator.
Please remember that after starting the refrigerator, it will take a few hours to
reach the appropriate temperature.
NOTE
•Before connecting the power supply, check the voltage range. The wires and
sockets must be able to withstand the current of 10A or above.
INITIAL POWERING ON AND TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT

After connecting the power, all displays will be on for
3 seconds and then the refrigerator enters the initial
powering on mode, namely, the temperature is set to
5
o
C for fridge compartment, 0
o
C for interchangeable
temperature compartment and -18
o
C for freezer
compartment. The temperature display zone displays
the current set temperatures.

1. Fridge temperature key
•Press the "Fridge" key to set the temperature of fridge compartment as follows:

2. Flex Zone temperature key
•Press the "Flex Zone" key to set the temperature of "Flex Zone" as follows:

3. Freezer temperature key
•Press the "Freezer" key to set the temperature of freezer compartment as

4. Fridge off function
•Under normal state, press and hold "fridge" key for 3 seconds to enter fridge
closing function.
•After fridge off function is selected, the fridge compartment will close and the
fridge temperature display zone displays goes off.
•Under the fridge off state, press and hold "fridge" key for 3 seconds, the

refrigerator will exit fridge off function. Then the temperature of fridge
compartment will return to normal display state, the refrigerator will restore to
original running state and the set temperature restores to the temperature set
before entering the fridge off state.
NOTE
•Please do not store food in the fridge compartment when using fridge off
function. The fridge compartment may be cool slightly to prevent odor due to
out of service for a long time.
5. Flex Zone Off function
•Under normal state, press and hold "Flex Zone" key for 3 seconds to enter Flex
Zone off function.
•After Flex Zone Off function is selected, the Flex Zone will close and the Flex
Zone displays goes off.
•Under the Flex Zone off state, press and hold "Flex Zone" key for 3 seconds,
the refrigerator will exit Flex Zone off . Then the temperature of Flex Zone will
return to normal display state, the refrigerator will restore to original running state
and the set temperature restores to the temperature set before entering the Flex
Zone off state.
NOTE
•Please do not store food in the Flex Zone when using Flex Zone off function.
The Flex Zone may be cool slightly to prevent odor due to out of service for a
long time.
6. Power Freeze function
•Under normal state, press and hold "freezer" key for 3 seconds to enter Power
Freeze function with the icon of Power Freeze function displayed.
NOTE
•Recommendation: It is recommended to use Power Freeze function when
storing a lot of food in the freezer compartment or quick refrigeration is required
for the freezer compartment.
•After entering Power Freeze, the refrigerator will exit Power Freeze state and
restore to the original state after 2.5 hours of continuous running.

There are two methods to release the Power Freeze:
1) Press and hold "freezer" for 3 seconds again to exit power freeze state;
2) The refrigerator exits Power Freeze state automatically after 2.5 hours.
After exiting Power Freeze function, "Power Freeze" will not be displayed.
After exiting Power Freeze function, the refrigerator will run at the latest set
temperature.
7. Function of door opening alarm
•When the door of fridge compartment is opened for 2 minutes, the buzzer
will sound the alarm;
The buzzer will keep the alarm for 10 seconds and stop for 50 seconds,
and then sound the alarm for 10 seconds again, thus reminding the user
of closing the door with such cycle. Once the door of fridge compartment
is closed, the alarm stops immediately.

FOOD STORAGE GUIDE
Preferably wrap the food with plastic bag (plastic wrap) or cover the food
container to avoid food drying and taint of odor.
Hot food and beverage shall be cooled to room temperature before being put in
the refrigerator.
Store the cooked food and raw food separately.
Do not place the food densely. Reserve enough space to facilitate cold air
circulation.
NOTE
•Please do not place the food near the temperature sensor.
•The food and containers shall not be close to the rear wall of the refrigerator.
Preferably divide the food into small pieces for storage.
Preferably clean and dry the washable food like fruits,
vegetables, etc. before storage.
Fruits and vegetables shall be placed in the fruit and vegetable box or the
drawer in the interchangeable temperature compartment to hold moisture and
keep fresh.

Tropical fruits like banana and pineapple shall not be stored in the
refrigerator. Do not store the objects with strict requirements on
temperature, such as serum, vaccine, pharmaceuticals, academic
materials, etc.
If the freezer compartment is required to store a lot of food, make ice or
freeze quickly, you can also take the drawer in the freezer compartment
out and place the food on the glass shelves in the freezer compartment.
In order to achieve optimal ice making effect, please adjust the
temperature of the freezer compartment to -23oC or set to "power
freeze" state before ice making. When the refrigerator displays -23oC, put
in the ice-making box with a certain amount of water (water level shall
not be higher than the highest point of the ice tray). When making ice, it
is recommended to open the ice-making box cover and place the ice-
making box in the upper drawer in the freezer compartment so as to
quicken the ice making speed.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Cleaning the Interior
Take off all shelves, door racks, boxes, covers, drawers, etc.
and wipe them with soft cloth dipped with warm water or
neutral detergent (for washing tableware). Wipe up with clear
water and dry up with dry cloth if neutral detergent is used.
Door sealing strip
Carefully wipe up the door sealing strips, and wipe up the
grooves with wooden chopsticks wrapped with cotton
strips. Upon cleaning, insert the sealing strips into the
grooves, first fixing four corners, then inserting section by
section.
Precautions for cleaning the inside and outside of the refrigerator
•
Before cleaning, pull out the power plug from the socket. The interval between
unplugging and plugging shall be greater than 5 minutes.
•
No water shall enter the light box when cleaning.
•
Wipe with soft cloth dipped with warm water or neutral detergent, and wipe
up with dry cloth.
•
Abrasive or strong detergent, such as window spray, facial scrub, flammable
liquid, hydrochloric acid, clean wax, concentrated laundry detergent,
bleaching agent or detergent containing petroleum products, shall not be
used on the exterior surface (door and body), plastic components, door and
lining as well as sealing gasket of the refrigerator.
- Such detergents will scratch or damage the material.
•
Please clean the refrigerator periodically to guarantee the service performance.
•
Do not put the glass shelves or protective covers which are extremely cold
into the hot water for cleaning. Sharp temperature change or impact (e.g.
collision or falling-off) will break the glass shelves or protective covers.
NOTE
•Check the followings after maintenance:
•Whether the power cord is cracked or damaged;
•Whether the power plug is reliably inserted in the socket;
•Whether the power plug has such situations as abnormal heating, etc.

1. Bottle rack
- Lift up to take it out.
2. Egg rack
- Lift up to take it out.
3. Shelf in the fridge compartment
- Lift the front part of the shelf and pull outwards to take it out.
NOTE
•When you put the shelf back, ensure the side with "Rear"
label is put inwards.
4. Fruit and vegetable box and cover
- Directly pull the fruit and vegetable box to take it out.
- Lift the front part of the fruit and vegetable box, and
pull outwards to take it out.
5. Drawer in the freezer compartment
- Pull outwards to the stopper and lift up to take it out.

The refrigerator is placed

- If the refrigerator is placed unevenly
slightly, the operating sound will be
louder. Rotate the adjusting leg under
the refrigerator to adjust the level.
Sound of air flow or running
water
- The refrigerator temperature decreases
quickly via the flowing of refrigerant
in the pipe. The refrigerant includes
gaseous state and liquid state, which
will produce slight noise when flowing.
Slight "buzzing"
- The compressor is working with the
noise a bit higher on startup. The noise
of efficient refrigerator will be higher due
to strong working of compressor.
Slight "whirring"
- A fan is installed in the refrigerator to
promote air circulation. When the fan
runs, sound of air flowing and motor
rotation will be caused.

Sound of "click", "bo"
- When the refrigerator is opened or
closed, main control panel, starting
relay, thermal protector, solenoid valve
and other electrical components will
produce the sound of "click", "bo"
suddenly due to their frequent picking-
up or disconnection.
- When the refrigerator is working, the
change of the difference in temperature
will cause frost crack of food or
thermal expansion and contraction of
accessories in the refrigerator, thus
producing the sound of "poop".

normal.
Abnormal smell exists in
the refrigerator
- Odorous food shall be tightly wrapped.
- Check whether the food are
deteriorated.
- The inside of the refrigerator needs to
be cleaned.
NOTE
•The temperature in the refrigerator is decreased via the working of compressor,
circulation of refrigerant and other processes, to guarantee the fresh and
nutrition of the food in the refrigerator. Under working state of the refrigerator,
you will hear some slight noises which are normal. Please feel free to use.
