Thank you for purchasing a San Jamar digital scale. Please read the
following operation information to ensure the proper function of your new scale.
HOW TO WEIGH
1. Press the ON/OFF button.
2. “0” will appear on the display.
3. Select your desired unit of measurement with the KG/LB button.
4. Place item slowly onto the platform.
HOW TO USE THE “TARE” FEATURE
This feature allows you to obtain the exact weight of an item in a container, by
subtracng the weight of the container.
1. Place the container, without the item, slowly on the platform.
2. Press the TARE button.The word “Tare” will appear on the display, and the
weight of the container will be removed.
3. Slowly add the item to the container.The display will show the weight of the
item only.
HOW TO CLEAR THE “TARE” FEATURE
Press the TARE buon again, and the word “Tare” will disappear from the display.
Now the weight of all items will be displayed.
BACKLIGHT FEATURE
Use the BACKLIGHT buon to turn the backlight on, and o.
ATTENTION! The scale will tare any amount of weight. Once the total weight
actually on the scale reaches the maximum capacity of 13 pounds (6 kg) the
overload warning code (Error) will display.
AC/DC ADAPTER WARNING
To prevent damage, only use a San Jamar adapter, or the warranty will be void. Visit
www.sanjamar.com for more informaon on adapters.
PROPER USE & CARE
• Use and stow the scale at room temperature.
• This scale is an instrument of precision. Do not submit the scale to shaking,
excessive vibraon, or other rough treatment; use on a at, and stable surface.

• The display may be affected by electromagnetic disturbances such as radios,
microwaves, or cell phones. If such disturbances occur, remove the source of
the disturbance, and restart the scale.
• Disassembling, or tampering with the scale voids the warranty.
• Clean the scale with a damp cloth; do not submerge in liquid; scale is not
waterproof.
• For best results, use alkaline batteries.
• Failure to insert batteries in the correct polarity, as indicated in the battery
compartment, may shorten the life of the batteries or cause batteries to leak.
• Do not mix Alkaline, Standard (Carbon-Zinc) or Rechargeable (Nickel Cadmi-
um) or (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Batteries should be recycled or disposed of as per state and local guidelines.

COMMENT PESER
1. Appuyez sur le bouton ON/OFF
2. “0” apparaîtra à l’afcheur.
3. Sélectionnez l’unité de mesure de votre choix en appuyant sur
le bouton KG/LB.
4. Placez l’article doucement sur le plateau.
COMMENT UTILISER LA FONCTION DE TARE
Cee foncon vous permet d’obtenir le poids exact d’un arcle dans un contenant
en soustrayant le poids du contenant.
1. Placez le contenant sans l’article sur le plateau.
2. Appuyez sur le bouton TARE. Le mot “ Tare” apparaîtra à l’écran, et le poids
du contenant sera soustrait.
3. Mettez l’article doucement dans le contenant. L’écran afchera uniquement le
poids de l’article.
COMMENT ANNULER LA FONCTION DE TARE
Appuyez sur le bouton TARE de nouveau, et le mot “Tare” disparaîtra de l’écran.
Le poids de tous les arcles sera aché.
FONCTION DE RÉTROÉCLAIRAGE
Ulisez le bouton BACKLIGHT pour allumer ou éteindre le rétroéclairage.
ATTENTION! La balance tarera n’importe quel poids. Une fois que le poids
total sur la balance dépasse la capacité maximum de 13 livres (6 kg) le code
d'averssement de surcharge (Error) s'achera.

UTILISATION ET ENTRETIEN
• Ulisez et rangez la balance à la température ambiante.
• Cee balance est un appareil de précision. Veillez à ce que la balance ne soit
pas soumise à des secousses, à des vibraons excessives ni à toute autre
manipulaon brusque; ulisez-la sur une surface plane et stable.

• L’écran risque d’être affecté par les perturbations électromagnétiques prov-
enant des radios, des micro-ondes ou des téléphones cellulaires. En cas de
perturbation, déplacez la source de perturbation et redémarrez la balance.
• Démonter ou altérer la balance annule la garantie.
• Nettoyez la balance à l’aide d’un chiffon humide; ne la plongez pas dans un
liquide; elle n’est pas imperméable.
• Pour obtenir les meilleurs résultats, utilisez des piles alcalines.
• Ne pas mettre de pile selon la bonne polarité, comme indiqué dans le compar-
timent à piles, risque de réduire la durée de vie utile des piles et de les faire
fuir.
• Ne mélangez pas des piles alcalines, standard (carbone-zinc) et rechargeables
(nickel cadmium) ou (nickel hydrure métallique). Ne mélangez pas des piles
neuves et des vieilles.
• Les piles devraient être recyclées ou mises au rebut selon les directives de
l’État ou de la localité. Ne vous débarrassez pas des piles dans un feu!

GRACIAS POR COMPRAR UNA BÁSCULA DIGITAL SAN JAMAR.
Por favor lea la siguiente información de operación para asegurar el funcionamiento
correcto de su nueva báscula.
CÓMO PESAR
1. Presione el botón ON/OFF (Apagar/Encender).
2. Se mostrará "0" en la pantalla.
3. Seleccione la unidad de medida deseada con el botón KG/LB.
4. Ponga lentamente el objeto en la plataforma.
CÓMO USAR LA FUNCIÓN DE TARA
Esta función permite que obtenga el peso exacto de un objeto en un recipiente,
restando el peso del recipiente.
1. Ponga lentamente el recipiente en la plataforma sin el objeto.
2. Presione el botón TARE (Tara). La palabra "Tare" se mostrará en la pantalla y
se restará el peso del recipiente.
3. Lentamente añada el objeto al recipiente. La pantalla mostrará únicamente el
peso del objeto.
CÓMO BORRAR LA FUNCIÓN DE TARA
Presione de nuevo el botón TARE (Tara) y la palabra "Tare" desaparecerá de la
pantalla. Ahora se mostrará el peso de todos los objetos.
FUNCIÓN DE RETROILUMINACIÓN
Use el botón BACKLIGHT (Retroiluminación) para apagar o encender la
retroiluminación.
¡ATENCIÓN! La escala sumará a la tara cualquier cantidad de peso. Una vez que
el peso total de la báscula llegue a su capacidad máxima de 6 kg (13 lb), se mostrará
el código de advertencia de sobrecarga (Error).

USO CORRECTO Y CUIDADO
• Use y guarde la báscula a temperatura ambiente.
• Esta báscula es un instrumento de precisión. No someta la báscula a
sacudidas, vibración excesiva ni otros tratos duros. Úsela en una superficie
plana y estable.

• La pantalla puede ser afectada por interferencias electromagnéticas tales como
radios, microondas y teléfonos celulares. Si ocurren tales interferencias, retire
la fuente de la interferencia y reinicie la báscula.
• Desensamblar o manipular la báscula anula la garantía.
• Limpie la báscula con un trapo húmedo. No la sumerja en líquido, la báscula no
es a prueba de agua.
• Para mejores resultados, use baterías alcalinas.
• Si no inserta las baterías con la polaridad correcta, como se muestra en el
compartimiento de las baterías, se puede acortar la vida de las baterías o pro-
ducirles una fuga.
• No mezcle baterías alcalinas, estándar (carbón-zinc) o recargables (níquel cad-
mio) o (níquel-metal hidruro). No mezcle baterías nuevas y usadas.
• Las baterías deben ser recicladas o desechadas de acuerdo a las indicaciones
estatales y locales. ¡No arroje las baterías al fuego!
