Sangamo CHOICE RSTAT5 Guide

This programmable room thermostat has been
designed to bring you comfort and energy economy.
It allows you to program and regulate your heating
system using 6 programme events per day.
A large backlit LCD on the thermostat provides
clear feedback for the user and in response to program
settings transmits RF signals to the wall mounted
receiver installed next to the boiler that is being
controlled.
The thermostat is designed to be portable around the
home.
To ensure its correct operation the thermostat should
be situated around 1.3m above the oor away from
direct sunlight, heat sources and drafts.

Electrical Installation and Connections
• This product must be installed by a competent person in line with the latest IEE regulations
• Isolate mains before commencing installation
• Using supplied wall mount box and xings secure in desired position and route wires through rear
entry hole. Connect wiring in accordance with information printed on receiver, Wiring diagrams
shown.
Set/Review Program
Each of the 7 days of the week can be programmed separately. Starting with Monday (MO)
Press SET Mon, Morn (P1) temperature set Adjust by +/-
Press OK Mon, Morn (P1) time set Adjust by +/-
Press OK Mon, Day (P2) temperature set Adjust by +/-
Press OK Mon, Day (P2) time set Adjust by +/-
Press OK Repeat procedure for all 6 setpoints in the day and for the rest of the week
Press SETx2 & OK Return to Run Mode
Program Copy
To speed up the programming sequence you can copy a days program settings into other days.
Press SETx2 Choose ‘From’ reference day Select by +
Press OK Choose ‘To’ day Select by +
Press OK Repeat as required for next ‘To’ day Select by +
Press To delete a selected ‘To’ day
Press OKx2 To accept & return to Run Mode
Temporary Override
Change temperature until next programmed set point
Press +/- Temporary Override & Temp Set displayed
Press OK To cancel and return to Run mode
Comfort Override (Timed)
Change current temperature to a new set point for a time period up to 99 hours. The thermostat
shall resume its original programming after the comfort override has stopped.

Press OK To cancel and return to Run mode
Permanent Hold Temperature
Hold temperature at the desired set point until cancelled.

Start Programming
Within programming mode, thermostat shall
authomatically resume its functioning 30
seconds after there was no any further data
input.
To exit programming users may wait 30
seconds or pres s SET x 2 and OK to return to
run mode.
Flashing digits and user messages are
displayed on LCD to assist users in program-
ming.
NB: Each day’s ending time is at 11:59 in
12H-Format, 23:59 in 24H-Format. Therefore:
do not set 24:00 for NIGHT (P6).
