Thissectionwalksyouthroughthe necessary steps to
unlockyourphone,set up your voicemail,establish
passwords,and contact Sprint for assistancewith your
Sprint PCSService.

GettingStartedWithSprintPCSService
DeterminingifYourPhoneisAlreadyActivated
If you purchasedyourphone at aSprint Store,it is probably
activated,unlocked,and readyto use. Ifyoureceivedyour
phone inthe mail,it probably hasbeen activated;all you need
todois unlock it.
If your phone is not activated, please refer to the activation
card included with your phone.
UnlockingYourPhone
Tounlockyourphone,followtheseeasysteps:
1. Press to turn the phone on.
2. Select Unlock (left softkey).
3. Enter your four-digit lock code. (For security purposes,
the code is not visible as you type.)
Tip: Ifyoucan’t recallyourlock code, try usingthe last fourdigits
ofeitheryourSocialSecuritynumberorwirelessphone
number,ortry0000orNATL(6285).If noneofthesework,call
Sprint CustomerService at 1-888-211-4PCS (4727).
Note: To select a softkey,pressthe softkey buttondirectlybelow the
softkeytext that is displayed at thebottom left andbottom
right ofyourphone’s displayscreen.Softkeyactions change
accordingto thescreenyou’reviewing andwill not be
displayedifthereisnocorrespondingactionavailable.

SettingUpYourVoicemail
Allunansweredcalls toyourphoneareautomatically
transferred to your voicemail, even if your phone is in use or
turned off.Therefore, you will want to set up your voicemail
and personal greeting as soon as your phone is activated.
Toset upyourvoicemail:
1. From standby mode, press and hold .
2. Followthesystem promptsto:
nCreateyourpasscode.
nRecordyourname announcement.
nRecordyourgreeting.
nChoosewhether to activateOne-TouchMessage
Access(afeaturethatletsyouaccess messages
simplyby pressingand holding , bypassing the
needforyouto enteryourpasscode).

Note: VoicemailPasscode
If youareconcernedabout unauthorizedaccess toyour
voicemail account, Sprint recommends that youenable your
voicemail passcode.(Do not activateOne-TouchMessage
Access.)
