The SARGENT Harmony series H2 cylindrical lock is designed to interface with existing Wiegand Electronic
Access Control (EAC) panels.
The reader requires 12 or 24VDC for power and is compatible with HID®iCLASS SE®13.56 MHz technology.
Backed by SARGENT’s Grade 1 hardware, the Harmony series cylindrical lock comes with Request to Exit
(RX) monitoring inside the lockbody and is available in 12 or 24VDC. The Harmony H2 iCLASS SE reader
provides visual (LED) and audible indicators of lock state (locked/unlocked).

Reader LED Configuration
The Harmony Series reader can be configured for (3) modes of LED
operation. Call 1-800-810-WIRE for details.
Mode 1:
• Red LED ‘ON’ when powered.
• Presenting a valid credential causes LED to ‘FLICKER’
green and return to red state.
Mode 2:
• Green LED “ON” when powered.
• No Flicker after presenting valid valid credential.

1. Concealed Door Position Switch (DPS) 3287 is included with this product.
System integrator will determine the use and installation location.
2. If SARGENT 3287 Concealed DPS installation is specified, use SARGENT
template A7448 to prepare the door and frame at desired location.
3. Wire the 3287 Concealed DPS to the ElectroLynx
frame harness to the door position switch wires.
4. Connect the common wire of the switch to the common wire of the
harness and the normally open wire of the switch to the door
position wire of the harness.

1. Install latch with beveled bolt facing the strike.
2. Attach with two screws. DO NOT tighten completely.
3. Attach the mounting plate using (2) #8 x 1/2”
self-tapping screws (Fig 4A).

1. Feed wires into the lock body hole, from outside of door (Fig. 5B).
2. With outside lever horizontal, insert the mounting post through
outside of door and lock body.
Note: Make certain the lever spindle is properly engaged in lock.
3. Slide lock body into cross-bore hole from outside (locked side)
of the door (Fig. 5B).
4. Lock body must engage both the latch unit prongs and
tail piece (Fig. 5C Detail).

1. Feed wire and connector:
• For wood door, feed connectors and wires through the door and up the wire run channel (Fig. 6A).
• For metal door (not shown), feed connectors and wires into the lockbody hole and out the controller hole.
2. Position ground lug between (top) #10-32x1-1/4” through-bolt and rose assembly (Fig. 6A).
NOTE: Proper placement of ground wire (Fig. 6A, B) will prevent pinching/damage to the ground wire.
3. Secure rose assembly with (2) #10-32x1-1/4” through-bolts.
4. Secure latch by fully tightening (2) #6 x 3/4” self-tapping screw (refer to previous section 3 - Install Latchbolt).

1. Remove cylinder and tailpiece, using con-
trol key (stamped “C”)
2. Insert Phillips #2 screw driver into cylinder
opening making contact with lever catch.
3. Pull lever catch horizontally towards door
hinge and remove lever.
*Note - 1 Bitted cylinders utilize a control

1. Feed controller harness earth ground into and around behind rim
of large upper hole of the mounting plate (Fig. 10A, B).

b. Connect ElectroLynx harness (4 and 8-pin) from door harness to
ElectroLynx harness on interior PCB assembly (Fig. 10A, D).
NOTES: Neatly fold the wires into the remaining space to prevent
pinching wires when mounting escutcheon.
Connectors go on only one way.
Do not offset connector and be sure they are
completely seated.

Please follow these steps prior to installing inside escutcheon to prevent any
damage caused by pinching wires:
1. Once wires are arranged, position controller at a rotated angle against the door,
under the earth ground wire.
a. Press piece against door while turning clockwise (Fig. 10E).
b. Twist into place, perpendicular with door (Fig. 10F).

12 Inside Escutcheon and Lever
1. Feed wires into door prep.
2. Insert #8-32 x 5/8” Phillips flat head escutcheon
screws and thread into mounting plate.
3. Position inside escutcheon against door.
Note: Be sure not to cover but not pinch wires
when mounting escutcheon.
5. Attach inside rose to inside rose assembly.
6. Slide lever handle onto lockbody assembly
and be sure lever clips on.

For devices with cylinders:
1. Insert key into cylinder and rotate:
The key will retract the latch.
The key should rotate freely.
2. Ensure inside lever retracts latch.
3. Close door: Ensure latch is fully extended and
does not bind.
Note: Once electrical wiring has been success-
fully completed according to proper application,
complete the following step:
1. Turn power ON.
2. Verify LED located on reader is ON
(Red or Green depending on reader
configuration (See reader
LED Configuration).
3. Present proximity credential and verify
LED and sounder activity.
4. Verify valid card read at EAC panel.
5. Verify system operation functions;
i.e., when Prox credential is presented
to reader that the door unlocks.
