Instruction Manual for
Digital Thermohygrometer Model PC-5000TRH

Thank you for purchasing the digital thermohygrometer PC-5000TRHϩ.
-This product is designed to measure temperature and humidity of atmosphere. Do not use
it for other purposes.
-Read this manual thoroughly before use. Keep this manual in a safe place for future
references.
Features
-A large display for easy visibility
-Internal sensors measure indoor temperature and indoor humidity. Outdoor temperature
can be measured by connecting external sensor
-Displays of Maximum/Minimum temperature and R. humidity are switchable by a button
-Comfort level is displayed with WET, DRY or COMFORT
Warning
The PC-5000TRHII is not explosion-proof. Never use it in an atmosphere containing
flammable gases
Beware of Explosion!
There is a risk of explosion. Take extreme care

* Temperature
Loading Battery
(1) Remove the battery lid on the back of the unit by sliding it downward.
(2) Load one AAA battery with correct polarity > (+) (-) @ as instructed in the battery
compartment.
(3) Reinstall the battery lid.
* The low battery mark lights when the battery power becomes insufficient.
Replace the exhausted battery to new one with the above procedure. If the display is not
normal after the replacement, remove the battery once and let the unit rest for 5 min. or so.
How to Use
xInstallation
For installation, use the plastic stand at rear of the unit for standing or mount the unit on a
wall using the hole for mount.
xUse of external sensor
(1) Remove the protection cap on the rear of the unit and insert the external sensor jack into the
hole until it clicks.
(2) Press the memory reset button
(3) Install the external sensor at the place you want to measure
* When the external sensor is placed in outdoor
NB. * In order to avoid water entering into the sensor, install he sensor with the point of the
sensing part pointing up.
* Locate the external sensor probe away from direct sunlight and heavy precipitation
* Remove the protection cap of the sensor jack and plug the external probe into the Sensor Port.
* Make sure it is properly connected. When the external probe is removed, release the memory
by pressing “MEMORY RESET” button at the back of the unit.
xDisplaying the Indoor Temperature and Humidity ( in use of built-in sensors)
Press the ߇ IN/OUT button to switch to IN (IN is lit).
The upper LCD displays indoor temperature and indoor
humidity displays the lower LCD.
xDisplaying the Outdoor Temperature
Press the ߇ IN/OUT button to switch to OUT (OUT is lit).
The upper LCD displays outdoor temperature.
NB: The lower LCD displays indoor humidity for all time.
1) Place the external sensor outside
through a hole of air fan or like.
2) Hang the external sensor with the
attachment loop onto a wall and fasten the
attachment with a screw though a hole

zDisplaying Max or Min Temperature and/or R. Humidity
(1) To display the minimum indoor/outdoor temperature, press the ߈MIN button
once. Press the ߈MIN button again to return to the current temperature readings.
(2) To display the maximum indoor/outdoor temperature, press the ߉MAX button
once. Press the ߉MAX button again to return to the current temperature readings.

According to the current indoor temperature and humidity, one of the messages
(COMFORT, DRY or WET) appears to indicate the comfort level of the environment.
Cautions in Use
xThe PC-5000TRHII is not waterproof. Never let it get wet.
xDo not use the instrument and the external probe in water.
xDo not pull the sensor cord or hang the instrument with the sensor cord.
xWhen placing the external probe outside, be careful not to break the sensor cord by
opening and closing the window..
xUse the instrument within the measuring range. Otherwise the instrument may cause a
malfunction.
xKeep batteries out of reach of children. If it has been swallowed accidentally, consult
with doctors.
xFor environmental conservation, dispose of used batteries in compliance with local
rules and regulations.
xDo not use the instrument at a place exposed to direct sunlight or near heaters. Doing so
might cause not just measuring failures, but also the instrument’s case to deform.
xDo not clean the instrument with alcohol, thinner or any organic detergents etc. Use a
cloth moistened with neutral detergent water.
xNever dissemble or alter the instrument to avoid the causes of trouble.
xThis is a precision instrument. Be careful not to drop or give a shock to it.

problem persists, please contact the store where you purchased it or our Service Network.
