Back Box - IBB-200L
Important: Always locate the studs and utilities (electrical wires, ducts, water and gas
pipes) before cutting an opening in the wall. Ensure all required power and control cables have
been routed to the site of back box.
Savant requires that the Back Box be installed in the wall before installing the iOS device in the
Mounting Plate.
NOTE: The In-Wall Dock Assembly is not a weather resistant unit. Do not locate in a damp or
humid area.

Installation of the Back Box
1. Align the box to the stud, if available. Back box can be either horizontal or vertical.
2. Attach the box to the stud using nails/screws provided by the installer or use the flags that
are attached to the Back Box. Do not use a powered screwdriver to tighten the tabs; the tabs
can be easily over tightened.
3. Feed power cable through selected knockout and tie off rough wires, as required.

Installation of the IDC-2MPL
1. Loosen the locking screw (1) on the Mounting Plate.
2. Place the iOS device in the Mounting Plate onto the Lightning Connector.
3. Tilt the iOS device to close and secure to the Mounting Plate with the locking screw.
4. Verify the polarity with the connector label on the back of the Mounting Plate.
5. At the wall opening, insert and secure the 24V DC connector into the Mounting Plate.
6. Insert the Mounting Plate into the Back Box using the (4) screws provided and level the iOS
device, if necessary.
7. Attach Bezel with magnets.
8. Configure using RacePoint Blueprint™.
