1Transportation and Handling
1.1 Transportation
The machine is delivered mounted on a pallet and wrapped in protective packaging.
1.2 Handling
The machine can easily be transported in the packaging in which it is delivered. If the machine rests on a
base, make sure that the base is securely bolted to the transport pallet.
1.3 Setup
Set up the machine on a solid, level surface. Fasten the
machine to the floor or to the workshop bench by using the four holes used for fastening the industrial
machine to the pallet.
1.4 Connection
Connect the machine only to the electrical voltage stated on the rating plate. Connect the machine as
displayed on the circuit diagram (see Section 5.3). The electrical connection must be performed by an
authorised fitter. In this connection, check that the motor has the correct direction of rotation (see the
arrow on the shielding).
1.5 Inspection before Use
The machine must be off during the inspection.
Check that the door of the deburring shielding is closed and securely fastened before use. The door must
be securely fastened with screws when the machine is in operation and may only be opened when the steel
brush is replaced. The steel brush must rotate freely; however, without being loose.
Make sure that the grinder is so aligned that it maintains 2 mm from the steel brush.
Make sure that the eye shield is clean and placed correctly and that the spark box is adjusted to approx. 5
mm from the steel brush and is properly fastened.
The first time the machine is started, it should run at max. speed for approx. 5 minutes before use. Make
sure that you keep a safe distance from the machine in the meantime.

5
2User's Guide
2.1 Operation
After it is connected and set up as above, the machine is ready for use.
When using the deburring machine, the operator and everyone in the vicinity of the machine should wear
safety goggles as the machine could throw workpieces and threads from the steel brush.
Guide the workpiece steadily towards the steel brush without hard, jerk-like thrusts or strokes. Always
apply a light, steady pressure to prevent ruining the steel brush and overload the motor.
Let the machine run the max. number of turns before deburring. Always try to debur at as high a speed as
possible. If possible, fasten the workpiece with tongs or a clamp; this is more secure than holding the
workpiece in your hands.
Do not stop the rotation of the steel brush by pressing a workpiece against it; always allow the steel brush
to rotate freely until it stops by itself. It is important to have good light.
2.2 Safety rules for stationary machine tools.
Follow these rules to achieve the best result and best use of your new machine.
A good workman must always
respect the tools he works
with. He knows that they
represent a continuously
improved design. He also
knows that incorrect use of
the machine is dangerous.
This is the theme in a new
safety program about use of
machine tools. The safety
rules are based on an approved practice in the
industry and in the workshop.
1. Know your tool.
Read the
instructions
thoroughly.
Get to know its
use and limits
as well as the
specific potential
hazards in
connection with
this tool.
2. Keep the safety shields in place and in proper
condition.
3. There must always be grounding to all machine
tools, which are equipped with a power socket. If
you use an adapter
for a 2-pronged
plug, the adaptor
must always be
connected to a
grounder.
Never remove the
third prong.

6
4. Remove adaptor
keys and screws.
Make it a habit of
checking that these are
removed before the
machine is switched
on.
5. Keep the
workbench clean. A
mess can lead to
accidents.
6. Avoid hazardous
working environments.
Never use
machine tools in damp or
wet areas and never
expose them to rain.
Ensure good working
light.
7. Keep children
away. All visitors
ought to keep a good
distance from the
working area.
8. Child-proof the
working area by
using padlocks,
main switches or by
removing the
starting keys.
9. Do not overload the machine. Using the
machine in the way it
was designed is the
better and safer way
to do the job.
10. Use the
correct tools. Do
not force the
tool or unit to do
something it
was not
designed for.
11. Wear proper clothing. Do not wear loose
clothing, gloves, ties,
rings, necklaces or
other jewellery which
can get caught in the
moving parts. Non-
skid footwear is
recommended. Wear
head protection.
12. Always use safety
goggles and possibly ear
defenders. Always use a
face or dust mask when
doing a job that
generates dust. Normal
glasses only act as glass.
Glass does NOT provide
eye protection.
13. Work safely. Use
clamps or vices to hold
the material. This is
safer than using your
own hands and allows
you to operate the
machine with both
hands.

7
14. Be
familiar
with your
range.
Maintain a
good
footing and
balance at
all times.
15. Maintain the tool
carefully. The best and
safest results are
achieved by keeping the
tool sharpened and clean.
Follow the instructions for
lubrication and
replacement of parts.
16. Reduce the risk of
unintended start of the
machine. Make sure that the
switch is turned off before
connecting to the power
supply.
17. Disconnect power to
the tool before service
and when you replace
parts, for example,
sanding discs, polishing
discs, blades, mills and
the like.
18. Use recommended spare parts. See
recommended spare parts in the user manual.
Using unapproved spare parts can result in
injuries.

8
2.3 Maintenance
Keep the machine dry and make sure that the steel brush does not get wet of vapours or rain.
We recommend that the steel brush be replaced when its wear exceeds 25%. A skew brush leads to
vibrations that over time ruin the machine bearings. Damaged grinder, eye shield and other shielding
should be replaced to prevent personal injuries.
An uneven grinding wheel causes vibration which with time will damage the bearings in the machine.
Damaged tool rests, eye shields and covers must be replaced to avoid personal damage
To replace the steel brush, dismantle the spark box and open the shield's door by unscrewing the bolt.
Unscrew the steel set bolt (pos 18 on the spare parts drawings), then remove the outer flange and the steel
brush. Make sure that the new steel brush does not exceed the dimensions stated on the machine's rating
plate. It is important that the hole dimensions be correct.
Fit the new steel brush between the two flanges, screw on the steel set bolt and tighten. Tighten the screw
as much as to ensure that the steel brush is securely fastened. Do not over-tighten.
