Before using your product for the first time, please read this brief guide to avoid problems due to incorrect
installation or use.
Please read the following notices carefully. The SCHURTER Smart Connector products are electronic
devices. Mishandling can damage your device and void your warranty.
Safety Instructions
1) The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by improper use of the device or through operation in an unsuitable
environment.
2) The device is not suitable for outdoor use.
3) Do not expose the device to strong vibrations.
4) Unauthorized modifications can damage the device or cause a fire.
Do not open - risk of electric shock!
5) Protect the device from liquids and excessive temperatures.
6) Make sure the device is not dropped or falls from height.
7) Only electrical devices that are approved for operation on the mains may be used.
8) Do not connect multiple devices in a row.
9) The socket / power strip must be easily accessible.
10) The device is only completely switched off when it is unplugged.
11) If the device is not working properly, unplug it, wait 30 seconds, and then reconnect it.

Status definition of the lighting (front)
•Steady red = Connected to WiFit + 230VAC Output off
•Steady green = Connected to WiFi + 230VAC Output on
•Flashing red = Connection to WiFi is established + 230VAC Output off
•Flashing green = Connection to WiFi is established + 230VAC Output on
•Flashing blue = Bluetooth mode active
•Flashing purple = Firmware update active
•Flashing orange = Overload detected on 230VAC Output
Reset / factory setting Smart Connector
•Reset device (Reset) = Press and hold the button (on the front) for >10 seconds
Long press the button to return the Smart Connector to Bluetooth mode to put. This allows the
mart Connector to reconnect to a WiFi network. Measurement data and device configuration are
retained.
Overload detection Smart Connector
If the Smart Connector detects an overload situation on 230VAC output, it will automatically
turn off the 230VAC output. The lighting on the front will flash orange.
If the lighting on the front is flashing orange, the device needs to be completely disconnected
from the mains supply for at least 2h in order to prevent overheating (the device configuration
is retained).

Commissioning and configuration
Download the SCHURTER Smart Connector APP from your app store. Easily connect your SCHURTER
Smart Connector to your WiFi network. The app will guide you through the installation process.
Connect and configure
An active internet connection is required to start up the Smart Connector!
1. Open the «Smart Connector» smartphone app
2. If you do not yet have a login for the SCHURTER Smart Ecosystem, click on Register.
You will be guided through the registration process.
After a successful login, the app automatically searches for your Smart Connector in the area
and guides you through the installation process.
