or through the rear bottom side of the machine.
In this second case the rear bottom small panel
must be removed.
Water inlet
The recommended water supply is clean, cold
water. Use the rubber hose connect to the 3/4"
male fitting at the back of the cabinet. Install a
hand valve near the machine to control the water
supply.
Drain
There is one 20mm O.D. drain at the back of the
cabinet, the drain line is of the gravity type, and 3
cm per meter fall is an acceptable pitch for the
drain tubing. There should be a vent at the
highest point of the drain line, and the ideal drain
receptacle would be a trapped and vented floor
drain. Use only the drain hose supplied with the
machine or rigid tubing.
FOR THE ELECTRICIAN
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS MUST BE
CONFORM TO ALL APPLICABLE CODES
The machine is supplied completely pre-wired
and requires only electrical power connections to
the wire cord provided at the rear bottom of the
unit.
Check the nameplate (located on the back panel)
for the voltage requirements, and for the
minimum circuit ampacity.
The machine requires a solid chassis to earth
ground wire.
The ice maker should be connected to its own
electrical circuit so it would be individually fused.
Voltage variation must remain within design
limitations, even under starting conditions.
WARNING. In case the electrical cord is
damaged replace it ONLY by Qualified
Technician so to prevent any possible risk.
FINAL CHECK LIST
1Is the ice system installed indoors in a
location where the air and water
temperatures are controlled, and where
they do not exceed the design limitations?
2Is there an electrical service disconnect
within sight of the installed machine? Has
the voltage been checked, and compared
to nameplate requirements'
3Have all the plumbing connections been
made and checked for leaks?
4Has the machine been levelled?
5Is there a minimum of 150mm clearance
at the sides of the machine for proper
service access and air circulation?
6Is the water pressure a minimum of 1
bar?
7Is there a water shut off valve installed
near the machine?
FOR THE INSTALLER
INITIAL START UP
Pre-Start Inspection
1Remove the upper and side service panels
2Inspect the interior of the machine for
loose screws or wires. Check that no
refrigerant lines are rubbing each other
3Check that the fan blade turns freely
4Check that the unit is installed correctly
according to the final check list
Start Up
1Open the hand shut off valve, observe that
water enters the water reservoir, fills the
tube from the reservoir to the evaporator,
and then shuts off.
AThe red LED will blink for 3
minutes
BAfter that gearmotor starts and
few seconds later compressor too
2Few minutes later the condenser will
begin to discharge warm air through the
upper lowers of the top panel
3The unit should soon be making ice
4There are NO ADJUSTMENT to make, so
replace the panels
After the unit has been operating for about 10
minutes, there should be enough ice in the bin to
test the dispense system.
