and properly maintained, give you years of trouble free performance.

1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING! Theseear defenders are of normal size range
complying with BSEN352-1. They are designed to fit the
majority of wearers. If in doubt, seek professional advise.
3.1. Extend the headband to maximum open position and place the
cups over the ears with the headband passing over the head.
3.2. Settle the headband in position on the head while adjusting
the height of the ear cups until they feel comfortable and the
headband rests on top of the head to support the muffs.
3.3. The cushions should be a snug fit against the head.
3.4. The pressure of the ear defenders against the head can be
adjusted to by bending the headband thereby ensuring an
effective noise seal.
2.1 When worn properly and given adequate care, the SSP18 and SSP18F provide excellent
protection which filters the high levels of noise that are encountered in an industrial environment.
2. APPLICATION
1.1. GENERAL SAFETY

WARNING! Put the ear defenders on before exposing yourself to noise and wear at all
times during exposure to excess noise levels.
3Before use, check that the ear defenders will provide the required level of noise attenuation.
Please see Attenuation table overleaf.
3 Inspect the ear defenders to ensure there are no tears or snags and that they are in good condition.

3Ensure there is another person within sight close enough to come to your aid should a problem arise

5. MAINTENANCE
3The ear defenders should be disinfected every three months, according to use. Any part of
the ear defender which comes into contact with the wearer should be disinfected.
3Keep the ear defenders as clean as possible, washing in warm soapy water is recommended.
Do not use organic solvents or alcohol for cleaning.
3When not in use it is recommended to store the ear muffs in a clean, dry environment for
optimum protection.
