lock – replacement guide

SEAT CORDOBA (6L2) 1.4 16V, SEAT IBIZA III (6L1) 1.4 16V
The steps may slightly vary depending on the car design.

Torque wrench
Drive socket # 10
Torx bit T20
XZN socket bit # 8
Ratchet wrench
Painter's tape
Flat Screwdriver
Phillips screwdriver
Clip removal tool
Plastic trim tool

Open the car door.

The replacement procedure is identical for the locks on the left and
right rear doors.
Please note: all work on the car – Seat Ibiza 6L1 – should be done
with the engine switched off.

Detach the door armrest panel. Use a plastic trim tool.

Remove the door armrest screws. Use a Phillips screwdriver.

Unscrew the door card fasteners. Use a Phillips screwdriver.

Detach the door card. Use a plastic trim tool.

Remove the covers from the window raiser fasteners.

Replacement: door lock – Seat Ibiza 6L1. Do not use excessive force
when removing the part as this may damage it.

Switch on the ignition.

Lower the window glass.
Replacement: door lock – Seat Ibiza 6L1. Tip:

Continue lowering the window glass until its fasteners become
visible.

Switch off the ignition.

Detach the power window connector from the door card.

Detach the door lock actuator cable.

Unscrew the window glass fasteners. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.

To avoid injury, hold the glass when unscrewing the fasteners.

Raise the window glass all the way up and secure it on the door frame with masking tape.
