How to operate the system from the cockpit
How and When to use the safety function ‘switch’ on the line wheel:
The line wheel (F) is equipped with a 2 positions safety function (G)
Switch in position “Unlocked”, the sail can be furled and unfurled
- To be used during normal sailing conditions.
Position “Locked”, the sail can only be furled. It is a function that can be
activated from the mast only
- To be used in order to avoid the sail to unfurl when you leave the boat at dock.
- To allow manual furling from the mast by the use of the winch handle in case of system failure.
- To be used when sailing in really heavy wind conditions. Once activated, the sail can only furl in.
Therefore, to release the safety function ‘switch’ and unfurl the sail, you must return on mast to
operate back into unlocked position.
