Safety Warnings
General Safety Rules

lRead all safety warnings
and all instructions
Failure to follow the warnings
and instructions may result
in electric shock, re and/
or serious injury. Save all
warnings and instructions
for future reference.
The term “power tool” in the
warnings refers to your
mains-operated (corded)
power tool or battery-operated
(cordless) power tool.
Work Area Safety
lKeep your work area clean
and well lit. Cluttered or dark
areas invite accidents.
lDo not operate power tools
in explosive atmospheres,
such as in the presence of
ammable liquids, gases,
or dust. Power tools create
sparks which may ignite the
dust or fumes.
lKeep children and
bystanders away while
operating a power tool.
Distractions can cause you
to lose control.

Electrical Safety
lPower tool plugs must
match the outlet. Never
modify the plug in any
way. Do not use any
adapter plugs with earthed
(grounded) power tools.
Unmodied plugs and match-
ing outlets will reduce risk of
electric shock.
lAvoid body contact with
earthed or grounded surfac-
es such as pipes, radiators,
ranges and refrigerators.
There is an increased risk of
electric shock if your body is
earthed or grounded.

Personal Safety
lUse personal protective
equipment. Always wear
eye protection. Protective
equipment such as dust mask,
non-skid safety shoes, hard
hat, or hearing protection used
for appropriate conditions will
reduce personal injuries.
lDon’t expose power tools
to rain or wet conditions.
Water entering a power
tool will increase the risk of
electric shock.
lWhen operating a power tool
outdoors, use an extension
cord suitable for outdoor
use. Use of a cord suitable for
outdoor use reduces the risk of
electric shock.
lIf operating a power tool
in a damp location is
unavoidable, use a residual
current device (RCD)
protected supply. Use of
an RCD reduces the risk of
electric shock.
lPrevent unintentional
starting. Ensure the switch
is in the off-position before
connecting to power source
and/or battery pack, picking
up or carrying the tool.
Carrying power tools with
your nger on the switch or
energising power tools that have
the switch on invites accidents.

or wrench before turning
the power tool on. A wrench
or a key left attached to a
rotating part of the power tool
may result in personal injury.

lDress properly. Do not wear
loose clothing or jewelry.
Keep your hair, clothing,
and gloves away from mov-
ing parts. Loose clothes,
jewelry, or long hair can be
caught in moving parts.
lIf devices are provided
for the connection of dust
extraction and collection
facilities, ensure these are
connected and properly
used. Use of dust collec-
tion can reduce dust-related
hazards.
Power Tool Use and Care
lDo not force the power
tool. Use the correct power
tool for your application.
The correct power tool will
do the job better and safer
at the rate for which it was
designed.
lDisconnect the plug from
the power source and/or
the battery pack from the
power tool before making
any adjustments, chang-
ing accessories, or storing
power tools. Such preventive
safety measures reduce the
risk of starting the power tool
accidentally.
lDo not use the power tool
if the switch does not turn
it on and off. Any power tool
that cannot be controlled with
the switch is dangerous and
must be repaired.

lStore idle power tools out of
the reach of children and do
not allow persons unfamiliar
with the power tool or these
instructions to operate the
power tool. Power tools are
dangerous in the hands of

lKeep cutting tools sharp
and clean. Properly

likely to bind and are easier
to control.
lMaintain power tools. Check
for misalignment or bind-
ing of moving parts, break-
age of parts and any other
condition that may affect
the power tool’s operation.
If damaged, have the power
tool repaired before use.

instructions, taking into
account the working condi-
tions and the work to be per-

Battery tool use and care
lRecharge only with the
charger specied by the
manufacturer. A charger
that is suitable for one type of
battery pack may create a risk
of re when used with another
battery pack.
lUse power tools only with
specically designated bat-
tery packs. Use of any other
battery packs may create a risk
of injury and re.
lWhen battery pack is not in
use, keep it away from other
metal objects, like paper
clips, coins, keys, nails,
screws, or other small metal
objects that can make a con-
nection from one terminal to
another. Shorting the battery
terminals together may cause
burns or a re.
lUnder abusive conditions,
liquid may be ejected from
the battery; avoid contact. If
contact accidentally occurs,
ush with water. If liquid
contacts eyes, additionally
seek medical help. Liquid
ejected from the battery may
cause irritation or burns.

lDo not operate charger with
damaged cord or plug- replace
them immediately.
lDo not operate charger if it
has received a sharp blow,
been dropped, or otherwise
damaged in any way; take
it to a SENCO Authorized
Service Center.
lDo not disassemble charger
or battery cartridge; take
it to a SENCO Authorized
Service Center when service
or repair is required. Incorrect
reassembly may result in a risk
of electric shock or re.
l To reduce risk of electric
shock, unplug charger from
outlet before attempting any
maintenance or cleaning.
l Store battery packs in a
30%-50% charged condition.
lEvery six months of storage,
charge the pack as normal.
l For best results, your
battery should be charged
in a location where the
temperature is more than50˚F
but less than 100˚F. Do not
store outside or in vehicles.
l An extension cord should not
be used unless absolutely
necessary. Use of improper
extension cord could result in a
risk of re and electric shock. If
extension cord must be used,
make sure:
a.That pins on plug of
extension cord are the same
number, size, and shape as
those of plug on charger;
b. That extension cord is
properly wired and in good
electrical condition; and
c. That wire size is at least as
largeastheonespeciedin
the table.

Safety Warnings
l Abattery short can cause a
large current ow, overheat-
ing, possible burns and even a
breakdown.
(1) Do not touch the terminals
with any conductive material.
(2) Avoid storing battery
cartridge in a container with
other metal objects such as
nails, coins, etc.
(3) Do not expose battery
cartridge to water or rain.
l Do not store the tool and
battery cartridge in locations
where the temperature may
reach or exceed 27˚C (80˚ F).
l Do not incinerate the battery
cartridge even if it is severly
damaged or is completely
worn out. The battery car-
tridge can explode in a re.
lDo not attempt to use a step-
up transformer, an engine
generator or DC power
receptacle.
lDo not allow anything to
cover or clog the charger
vents.
lDo not recharge non-
rechargeable batteries.
lThis appliance is not
intended for use by persons
(including children) with
reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or
instruction concerning use
of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety..
lChildren should be supervised
to ensure that they do no play
with the appliance.
lIf the supply cord is damaged,
it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its' service agent
or similarly qualied persons in
order to avoid a hazard.
l Do not use tool without
Warning Label on tool. If
label is missing, damaged
or unreadable, contact your
SENCO representative to

Functional Description
Safety Warnings
l Battery leakage may occur
under conditions of extreme
usage or temperature. If liquid
comes in contact with skin,
wash quickly with soap and
water, then with lemon juice or
vinegar. If liquid gets in your
eyes, wash with water for at
least 10 minutes and seek
medical attention immediately.
l Never attempt to connect two
(2) chargers together.
l Consecutive charging may
cause overheating. If you
need to recharge batteries
consecutively, wait about 15
minutes for the charger to
cool.

Loading the Tool
l
Check to be sure the heads of
the screws are resting on top
of the plastic collation material.
This will ensure proper strip
advancement and prevent
jamming.
l Check for proper fastener
length setting (see “Adjusting
the fastener length” page
#11).
l Feed the strip into the strip
guide.
l Read section titled “Safety
Warnings” before maintaining
tool.
l For best results, charge new
battery before using (see “to
charge battery” page #15).
l Nosepiece has settings;

l Depress the screw selector
pin until it is ush with nose-
piece and slide the nosepiece
to the desired setting by
aligning hatch marks with the
silver adjustment pin.
l Release pin ensuring it is
fully engaged in selected
nosepiece slot for proper
operation.

l (1) Pull the trigger to start
the motor. (2) Press the
nosepiece, with constant
force, against the work
surface. Do not remove the
tool from the work surface until
the clutch disengages and the
bit stops rotating, signaling a
fully driven screw.
l (3) Continue to allow the
motor to run. The next screw
will be automatically fed
into place when the tool is
depressed against the work
surface.
l Feed the strip into the slide
body until the 2nd empty slot
is aligned with the bit. The
tool will feed the st screw
when depressed against the
work surface.
l To remove the strip pull it
through from the top of the
nosepiece.
l Whenever possible, hold the
tool at a right angle to the
work surface.
Trigger lock
l To lock the trigger for
continuous operation, depress
the trigger and push in the
locking button then release the
trigger. The tool will continue
to run. To turn off, squeeze
and release the trigger.
l Release the thumbwheel
by depressing the red lock
button. Adjust the countersink
by turning the depth
adjustment thumbwheel. Refer
to the markings on the tool for
proper direction. Release the
lock button after adjustment.

Changing the bit
l Due to wear or damage, the
bit will need to be replaced
periodically or when changing
between drive types.
l (1) Maintain forward pressure
on tool. (2) Pull the trigger
to start motor. Continue
operation until screw is
completely
disengaged.
l Depress nose piece while
inserting bit into screw.
Forward Reverse
Operation
l To operate in reverse,
remove the screw strip and
push the black reverse button
l Test drive one screw before
nalizing the depth to ensure
appropriate countersink.
l This tool has a depth-sensing
clutch. When the screw
is countersunk to the pre-
set depth, it automatically
disengages and makes a click
or racheting sound. This is
normal and signals completion
of the drive.
l When the battery is low or
the drive requires too much
torque, the tool may stall at
the bottom of the drive (before
the clutch can disengage).
Continuous operation in this
manner can cause over-
heating and permanent
damage.
l If the fastener to be removed
was driven to the proper
depth, it will be necessary
to adjust the depth of drive
deeper (see depth of drive
adjustment page 12) before
the clutch will engage in
reverse.

l Remove fasteners from the
tool. (1) Slide bit release
button to rear. (2) Tilt tool
forward and pulse trigger.
Bit will fall out.
l (1) Hold tool upright. Insert
the new bit into the slide
body. (2) Slide bit release
button to rear. (3) Pulse tool
and release button when bit
drops into place.

Changing the nosepiece
l Remove battery before
changing the nosepiece.
l Remove retention screw.
(a coin can be used if a
screwdriver is not available)
l Set the nosepiece on the
longest setting possible.
(see adjusting fastener
length pg. 11)
l Depress the screw selector
pin until it is completely
depressed. It will be necessary
to use a screw or thin object to
depress to this depth
l While holding the pin in this
position, slide the nosepiece
forward and off of the slide
body
l Install the new nosepiece
l Replace the nosepiece
retention screw ensuring it is
seated snug against the slide
body
Adjusting belt hook
l
Remove the belt hook thumb
screw until the locking plate
can be removed
l Slide the belt hook out to the
desired position, replace the
locking plate, then re-install
the thumb screw
Moving belt hook to
alternate side
l Remove the thumb screw,
locking plate, threaded plate
and belt hook
l Insert the threaded plate
on the opposite side of tool
and re-install the hook at the
desired position using locking
plate and thumb screw

Installing Battery Pack
lAlign battery ribs with slots
on the tool. Push battery until
it seats tightly on the tool. (A
click can be heard when the
release mechanism seats
properly.)
lPress down on battery pack
to be sure contacts on battery
pack engage properly with
contacts in charger. When
properly connected, red light
will turn on. Red light indicates
fast charging mode.
lRedandgreenlightashing
indicates defective battery
pack. Return battery pack
to your nearest SENCO
Authorized Service Center for
inspection or replacement.
lWhen your battery pack
becomes 80% charged, the
red light will stay on and the
green light will ash.
lAfter normal usage, 1 hour
of charge time is required to
be fully charged. A maximum
charge time of 1 hour or less
is required to recharge a
completely discharged battery
pack.
lThe battery pack will become
slightly warm to the touch
while charging. This is normal
and does not indicate a
problem.
lBattery is constructed with 4
led lights built into a panel on
the battery pack. These 4 led's
reveal the state of charge and
indicate possible problems
inside the battery pack.
- State of Charge:
Press raised green button on battery pack to check
charge.
Red Flashing = 0-15% charge
Red On = 16-25% charge
Red and Yellow On = 26-50% charge
Red Yellow and Green On = 51-75% charge
All On = 76-100% charge
To Charge Battery
l Place battery pack in charger.
Align raised ribs on battery
pack with groove in charger.
lSolid red indicates that the
battery is charging.
lWhen battery pack is fully
charged, the red light will
turn off and the green light
will turn on.

l To preserve natural
resources, please recycle
or dispose of properly. This
product contains Li-Ion. Local
state or federal laws may
prohibit disposal of Li-Ion
batteries in ordinary trash.
Consult your local waste
authority for information
regarding available recycling
and/or disposal options.

Battery Disposal
l Charge the battery pack
before it is completely
discharged. Always stop tool
operation and charge the
battery when you notice less
tool power.
Never recharge a fully
charged battery.
Overcharging shortens the
battery service life.

l Routine lubrication of the feed
system is not necessary. Do
not oil.
l Read section titled “Safety
Warnings” before maintaining
tool.
l Wipe tool clean daily and
inspect for wear.
Maintenance
l With battery removed, make
daily inspection to assure free
movement of nosepiece and
trigger. Do not use tool if nose-
piece or trigger sticks or binds.
