Q: I have installed the driver, but I don’t think I have surround sound.
A:
For surround sound to work, make sure you have selected 5.1 or 7.1 speakers in the game’s “Audio
options” menu. Please consult your game provider for details. At the same time, please make sure you
have selected 5.1 or 7.1 speakers in the Sennheiser 3D G4ME1 driver.
Q: I have set everything up according to the instructions but when I play the game, the sound cuts
out whenever I turn around.
A:
Please check that the blue light on the 3D G4ME1 is lit. Also, please check that you have set both the
game and the 3D G4ME1 driver to 5.1 or 7.1 speakers.
Q:
The blue “Engaged DD” logo does not light up when I toggle the cover switch.
A:
Is the green power light lit on the device? If it is, but the logo is not lit, the driver installation process
hasn’t completed properly. Please try uninstalling the driver from the Windows program un-install menu.
Unplug the 3D G4ME1 and re-install the newest driver at (www.senncom.com/download), then follow the
instructions.

There is no speaker selection menu in the game at all.
A:
With some games, you adjust the speaker configuration via Windows settings. Please make sure you
have selected 5.1 or 7.1 speakers in the 3D G4ME1 driver. Then the game will automatically switch to
surround sound.
Q:
Can I use the “Home Cinema” speaker setting for 3D G4ME1 to get surround sound?
A:
Yes, this setting will work just as well as the 5.1 or 7.1 setting used in other games – as long as you set
the 3D G4ME1 driver to 5.1 or 7.1 speakers.

Which setting is best? 5.1 or 7.1?
A:
This depends a lot on your game and the way the game generates sound – so you should try both
settings and select the one you prefer. Please remember that it’s not enough to change the setting in only
the game or the driver. You need to set both the game and the driver to either 5.1 or 7.1.
Q:
Can I use 3D G4ME1 to watch DVD movies on my PC?
A:
Yes, some media players will allow you to output 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound audio. Please consult the
DVD section of your media player manual to set that up. For surround sound to work, please check that
you have set the 3D G4ME1 driver to match the speaker settings and that the logo is lit.
Q:
Speaker settings have changed after I switched to a different USB port.
A:
You can use any USB port on the PC but if you change the port, the Windows settings might reset to 2
channel. Please change them back to your preferred settings.

Q:
The sound is choppy or clicks when I play a game.
A:
To generate the full surround sound experience, the USB host on your PC has to provide large amounts
of data to 3D G4ME1. If you have other devices connected to the same USB host, the total amount of data
may exceed the capacity of the host, resulting in sound loss. To resolve this issue, please allocate your USB
devices to different ports until the problem stops. As a rule, we recommend plugging 3D G4ME1 directly
into the computer rather than USB ports on a keyboard or monitor. Similarly, we don’t recommend
unpowered hubs. In general, it’s best to connect the 3D G4ME1 directly to your computer’s main USB port.
Q:
The microphone isn’t working. What’s wrong?
A:
Please check that 3D G4ME1 is selected as the default recording device.

Also, please check your game settings and make sure that the microphone is enabled. For some games,
you’ll need to press a key on the keyboard to open the microphone. (Please consult game documentation
for the correct settings.)
Q:
I do not have a right click menu where I can select the speaker setting.
A:
Please make sure that you have installed the latest driver. Please uninstall the existing driver from the
Windows program un-install menu. Unplug 3D G4ME1 and re-install the newest driver from
(www.senncom.com/download), then follow the instructions. When the installation is complete, select the
5.1 or 7.1 speaker setting – and enjoy surround sound.
