MAINTENANCE : DEFLATING – FOLDING THE ITEM – CLEANING – WINTERING STORAGE
1. Remove oars/paddles and other a essories.
2. To deflate open the valve ap of the (Jumbo) push-in valves.
3. Clean and he k the item as well as all the a essories after ea h use. Rinse it thoroughly making sure to remove
any residues of salt if used in salt water. Use a mild soapy solution, do not use detergents or any type of sili one-
based produ ts. Make sure the produ t is ompletely dry before putting it away.
4. Fold the 2 sides into the middle, then roll it up from the opposite end of the valves (so remaining air an es ape from
the valves); start again if you feel there is still some air in the tubes.
5. When storing your inflatable, keep it in a lean and dry pla e that is not affe ted from major variations in temperature
and other damaging fa tors. You may store it deflated and rolled up in its bag or assembled and lightly inflated (make
sure you do not subje t it to deformations). Store it away from rodents.
WARNING !
Water will enter between the outer hull and inside chambers, this is O.K ; however, whenever you take this
item out of the water and deflate it, allow for it to air out and dry, neither the skin/hull or the inside chambers
will suffer from water damage, but stagnant water could cause mildew and foul odor.
HOW TO REPAIR SMALL PUNCTURES
You an repair small pun tures with the in luded repair kit. Please note that in order for the repair to be su essful, the
humidity level should be less than 60%, temperature between 65°F / 77°F or 18°C / 25°C. Avoid arrying out repairs in
the rain or in dire t sunlight.
To remove the inside bladder please open the zipper of the REEF for qui k and easy a ess. Che k that the tube is fully
deflated and lies flat.
1. Draw the shape of the pat h exa tly where it will be applied, ut a round pat h at least 2” / 5 m larger than the
ut/damaged area.
2. Clean the damaged area and the orresponding side of the pat h with a grease remover of the al ohol type and
allow for it to dry for 5 minutes.
3. Apply 3 thin layers of glue on both the pat h and the damaged area, allow for it to dry for 5 minutes between layers
until the glue feels ta ky.
4. When the third layer of glue is dry, apply the pat h without pressing and adjust the positioning if required, press the
air bubbles whi h may have formed under the pat h by smoothing the pat h with a round obje t su h as a spoon, do
this pro edure by starting in the enter of the pat h towards the outside, lean the ex ess glue with a solvent.
Drying: 12 hours.
