4x4 HDMI Matrix Switch w/CAT5e/6 & HDMI Outs.
RS-232 + EDID + IR + 3D
This 4X4 HDMI Matrix Routing Switcher offers flexibility and
convenience by routing High Definition audio/video from any of
four (4) HDMI sources to any of the four 4-port transmitters and 4
receivers over inexpensive, standard CAT5e/6 cable.
Four receivers work with the Switch Splitter as a full functional
module. Full High-Resolution HDTV signals are supported up to a
resolution of 1080p over HDMI cable 50 feet in length or 130 feet
using two (2) CAT6 cable cables. The 4X4 Matrix HDMI SWITCH
SPLITTER works with Blue-Ray players, AppleTV, TiVo, PCs, and
satellite set-top boxes that connect to an HDMI display. Every
source and display is accessible at all times by selecting it with an
IR remote, front panel buttons or through the RS-232 port.
The advanced chip set uses Re-Sample architecture to filter input
noise and recover the input data along with Re-Drive architecture
to regenerate clean TMDS signal. On-chip Equalizer which allows
data transmission on long cables.

CONNECTION AND OPERATION
CONNECTION
1) Connect all source devices to the HDMI inputs on the Switch Splitter.
2) Either HDMI or UTP can be selected as signal output for OutputA/B/C/D.
When choosing the HDMI as signal output, connect displays and main unit directly over HDMI cable.
When choosing UTP as signal output, connect receivers and main unit over CAT5e/6 cable, and then connect output of receivers to
displays. (Note: HDMI and UTP of each output cannot be connected simultaneously)
3) Connect the 5.5V@4A power supply to the Switch Splitter, and 5V@2A power supply to each receiver.
Note: 1) Please make sure to cut off power before you insert the IR Extender to the Converter
2) Please make sure to insert the plug of IR Extender into the Converter completely.
Attention: Insert / Extract cable gently.
OPERATION
1) The automatic connection when supplied with power.
The available outputs will automatically connect to the available inputs according to their sequence number. Meanwhile, the redundant
available ports (input or output) or unavailable ports will not be connected.
For example:
If outputs A, B, D are connected to three power-on TVs separately, and the four inputs are all have its own source devices
(work-on mode), then the power-on Switch Splitter will make a connection as follow:
11A 21B 31D
(Output C and input 4 are not connected)
If outputs A, C, D are connected to three power-on TVs separately, and only three inputs have its source devices (work-on
mode), then the power-on Switch Splitter will make a connection as follow:
11A 31C
(Output B, output D, input2 and input4 are not connected)
2) Selecting source devices by buttons
Four buttons on the Switch Splitter are used to select source devices circularly for inputs A, B, C, and D. Once you press the button, it
will select next available source device.
3) Selecting source devices by IR remote
1) Power button
The power button of the IR remote can control the power of the Switch Splitter. Pressing this button, the power-on unit will
be turned off. If you press it again, the unit will be turned on.
2) Other buttons
Depending on outputsA, B, C, D, the other buttons of the IR remote can be divided into four groups. Each group has five
buttons: ‘off’ — turn off its outputs. 1, 2, 3, 4 are used to select input port accordingly.
4) Selecting source devices by RS-232
1) RS-232 remote operation is based on simple ASCII commands.
2) Operation:
A. Connect the switch splitter to a COM port of a PC with an RS-232 cable.
B. Use a straight thru cable (Pin to Pin) and not a null modem cable.
From your terminal software, selection the correct COM port and use the following settings:
Baud rate : 4800
Data bit : 8
Parity bit : N
Stop bit : 1
Flow Control : NONE
3) The format for communications should be two (2) or three (3) letters, and conclude with “Enter.”. If entering instructions
manually (typed directly from the keyboard) you have three (3) seconds to complete the task.
If you delay, you will receive the error message: ”Overtime instruction” .
If you enter incorrect data, you will receive the error message: “wrong instruction”.
If the select a device that is not connected or not in the power-on mode, you will receive the error message: “inactive instruction”.
If your instruction is successful, you can see the message “successful operation”.

Examples:
A. Selecting source device
Letter of Output port (A/B/C/D) + number of the Input port (1/2/3/4) + “Enter”
For example: If you want Output B with source 3, your command should be “B3 “and “Enter”.
B. Enabling (turn ON) an Output
C + number of the output port that you want to turn ON (A/B/C/D) + “Enter”
For example: If you want to turn on output B, your command should be “CB”, and “Enter”.
C. Disable (turn OFF) the Switch Splitter: OFF + “Enter”
D. Enable (turn ON) the Switch Splitter: ON + “Enter”
E. Inquiry: This command enables you know which input and output are available and the current connections of Input and
Output. QS + “Enter”
Results returned when there are no video connections:
Results returned when there is a Source connected to Input 1 and a Destination devise is connected to Output A:
