VR300
A
The frequency response istailored to producean essen-
tially constant output voltage over the voice spectrum
when used close to the sound source. The transducer is
a low-impedance, moving coil type with integral hum-
bucking coil.
m
The microphone case is aluminum with
a
black enam-
eled finish. It has a standard 5/a"-27thread suitable for
mounting on a flexible gooseneck, fixed pipe, or micro-

ACOUSTIC CONSIDERATIONS
The close-talking characteristics of the VR300
Microphoneare obtained through itstailored frequency
response, directionality, and distance discrimination.
The acoustical elements are designed to optimize per-
formance inthe frequency rangeof I00to7,000 Hz. This
results in substantial reduction of sounds outside the
desired range and proper control of sounds within the
desired range. The microphone rejects noise through its
inherenl
against
favor of
:
directional properties, and it discriminates
unwanted sounds arriving from a distance in
sounds arriving from a near source.
