This manual is inten e to help you carry out repairs on level 2.5, meaning limite
component repairs. Failure highlights are ocumente an shoul be repaire in the local
workshops.
The E10 an the S6 Power GSM are both han sets for GSM-900. Internally they are almost
i entical but the form factors of the boar s are ifferent.
Note: In some countries the S6 Power GSM is calle S6 Classic!
It must be note that all repairs have to be carrie out in an environment set up accor ing to
the ESD (Electrostatic Discharge Sensitive Devices) regulations efine in international
stan ar s.
If you have any questions regar ing the repair proce ures or spare parts o not hesitate to

the program. Start the test, when the program says „Check power an
phase of external antenna with your GSM-Tester“, switch the CMD to
„LOCAL“ mo e an enter the „MODULE TEST“.
On the CMD isplay you can see the frequency error of the han set.
(Make sure that the CMD is on channel 124, power level 5!)
If the frequency error is higher than 2kHz, the VCXO has to be
replace .
.4.1. Repair by component change
Use hot air blower to remove efective VCXO.
Avoi excessive heat!
Watch surroun ing components!
Resol er new VCXO afterwar s.
.4.1.3Repair by SW-Booting
Not possible!
.4.1.4Test
Retest han set after repair as escribe above.
The frequency error must now be < 2kHz.
