DescriptionBeschreibung
Anwendungsbereich
Die Vakuum-Hochspannungsschütze sind Schaltgeräte mit
elektromagnetischem Antrieb für hohe Schalthäufigkeit und
unbegrenzter Einschaltdauer.
Der Magnetantrieb kann mit Wechsel- oder Gleichstrom
betätigt werden.
Das Vakuumschütz eignet sich zum betriebsmäßigen Schal-
ten von Wechselstromkreisen jeder Art, z. B. Drehstrommo-
toren,Transformatoren,Kondensatoren,Widerstandsverbrau-
chern und zum Wendebetrieb von Motoren.
DieVakuumschützewerden in offener Ausführung inSchutz-
art IP 00 nach DIN/VDE 0470 Teil 1 und IEC 144 gebaut.
Sie sind einsetzbar in Gebäuden mit geringer Wärmeisolati-
on oder geringer Wärmekapazität, geheizt oder gekühlt,
ohne Temperaturüberwachung. Heizung oder Kühlung kann
über mehrere Tage ausfallen.
Gelegentliche Betauung von ca. 1x pro Monat für 2 Stunden
ist zulässig.
Die in den Schützen 3TL71 eingebauten Vakuum-Schaltröh-
ren sind nach der Rönntgenverordnung (RöV) der Bundesre-
publik Deutschland zugelassen.
Die Vakuumschütze erfüllen entsprechend IEC 721, Teil 3.3,
1990 folgende Umweltbedingungen:
1. Klimatische Umweltbedingungen Klasse 3K51)
oder 3K62),
3Z2, 3Z5
2. Biologische Umweltbedingungen Klasse 3B1
3. Chemisch-aktive Stoffe Klasse 3C23)
4. Mechanisch-aktive Stoffe Klasse 3S24)
5. Mechanische Umweltbedingungen Klasse 3M2
Application
High-voltage vacuum contactors are switching devices with
solenoid-operated mechanisms suitable for high switching
frequencies and unlimited ON duration.
The solenoid-operated mechanism is suitable for AC or DC
duty.
The vacuum contactors are suitable for normal switching
operationsinACcircuitsofanytype,e.g.three-phasemotors,
transformers, capacitors and resistive loads and for motor
reversal duty.
The vacuum contactors are of the non-enclosed type, degree
of protection IP 00 to DIN/VDE 0470 part 1 and IEC 144.
They are suitable for use in buildings with poor thermal
insulation or low thermal capacity, heated or cooled, without
temperature monitoring; heating or cooling may even fail for
several days.
Condensation about once a month for 2 hours is permissible.
The vacuum interrupters fitted in the 3TL71 vacuum contac-
tors are type-approved in accordance with the X-ray regula-
tions (RöV) of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The vacuum contactors satisfy the following environmental
conditions in accordance with IEC 721, Part 3-3, 1990:

Isolationsfestigkeit Dielectric strength
Die in der Tabelle Technische Daten unter Isolationsfestigkeit
angegebenen Nennwerte für Stehstoßspannung und Steh-
wechselspannung gelten für Aufstellungshöhen bis 1000 m
über Meereshöhe NN. Bei Aufstellhöhe über 1000 m ändert
sich die Isolationsfestigkeit wie folgt:

Befestigen des Vakuumschützes
Die Befestigung kann mit Gewindebolzen M12 (Fig. 5) oder
Sechskantschrauben M12 vorgenommen werden (Fig. 6).
Mounting the vacuum contactor
The contactor can be mounted using either M12 stud bolts
(Fig. 5) or M12 hex. hd. screws (Fig. 6).
Note
Do not twist the bottom of the contactor (sup-
porting surface), and if necessary fit spacer
rings where the bottom plate does not rest
squarely.
Hinweis
DenBodendesSchützes(Auflagefläche)nicht
verwinden, gegebenfalls Ausgleichscheiben
unterlegen, sofern die Bodenplatte nicht auf-
liegt.
Das Vakuumschütz verursacht beim Einschalten Erschütte-
rungen, die unter Umständen benachbarte erschütterungs-
empfindliche Geräte stören können. Das Vakuumschütz darf
nicht auf Schwingmetall montiert werden.
The vacuum contactor causes vibrations during switching,
whichcouldaffectadjacentsusceptibleequipment.Thevacuum
contactor must not be mounted on vibration dampers.

ACHTUNG
Wenn beim Befestigen auf einem geerdeten
Stahlgerüst die Befestigungsstellen zur Er-
dung des Vakuumschützes verwendet werden
sollen, anstelle von Federring und Scheibe an
allen 4 Befestigungsstellen je eine gezahnte
Kontaktscheibe unter die Sechskantmutter
(nicht unter den Boden des Schützes) legen
(Fig. 6). Die Befestigungsschraube (oder Ge-
windebolzen) muß eine einwandfreie elektri-
sche Verbindung mit dem Gerüst haben, z. B.
Kontaktscheibe unter dem Schraubkopf oder
Schraube mit dem Gerüst verschweißt.
ATTENTION
If the vacuum contactor is mounted on an
earthed steel support frame and the mounting
points are used for earthing, push a toothed
contact washer under each hexagon nut (not
under the contactor bottom) instead of the
spring washer and flat washer (Fig. 6). Take
care to see that each fixing screw (or stud) has
sufficient electrical contact with the support
frame, e.g. place a contact washer under the
screw head or weld the screw to the support
frame.

Stromschienen spannungsfrei montieren, um unzulässige
Verspannungen der Primärstrombahnen (oberer und unterer
Anschluß) im Schütz zu vermeiden.
Stromschienen bis 60 mm Breite können angeschlossen
werden.

Earthing the vacuum contactors
A. Connect the earthing screw M12 marked with an earthing
symbol and the flat copper pieces, stranded copper
conductor or hot-dip galvanized steel straps to the HV
earth in accordance with the relevant regulations (Fig. 8).
B. Establish the earting connection via the earthed steel rack
(see Fig. 6).

Inbetriebnahme Putting into operation
Zur Inbetriebnahme ist die einwandfreie Funktionsbereit-
schaft des V-Schützes entsprechend den folgenden Punkten
zu überprüfen.
1. Das Schütz von eventuellen Verunreinigungen säubern
(Einzelheiten hierzu im Abschnitt "Instandhaltung" Seite 14)
2. Alle Befestigungs- und Anschlußschrauben auf festen
Anzug überprüfen. Vakuumschütz mehrmals zur Probe
ein- und ausschalten.
3. FunktionderHilfsschalterprüfen.ZusätzlicheGeräte(ther-
misch verzögerte Überstromrelais, Zeitrelais) überprüfen
und einstellen.
Wenn alle Funktionen geprüft und in Ordnung sind, unter
Beachtung aller Sicherheitsvorschriften und betrieblichen
Erfordernisse Hochspannung einschalten.
Prior to commissioning, check the vacuum contactor in
accordance with the following points:
1. Clean them as applicable
(for details refer to "Maintenance" page 14).
2. Check all fixing and terminal screws for tightness and test
the switching action of the vacuum contactor several
times.
3. Check proper functioning of the auxiliary switches. Test
andadjustthesupplementaryequipment(thermaloverload
relays, time relays).
Switch on the high-voltage supply after all the functions have
beenchecked, making surethatall the safetyregulations and
operational requirements have been met.

The vacuum contactors need not be serviced until the end of
their mechanical service life:

instructions. Training and information sessions
forpersonnelcanbeprovidedbythecompetent
Siemens department.
Before starting any work on vacuum contactor,
reference must be made to the local safety
regulations for highvoltage switchgear, e.g. the
fivesafetyrules(DINEN 50110,Part 1+2) and
switch off the power supply.
WARNUNG
Instandhaltungs-, Reparatur- und nachträgli-
cheUmbauarbeitensindnurvonfachkundigem
Personal und unter Beachtung der Betriebsan-
leitung bzw. spezieller Umbauanweisungen
auszuführen. Schulung und Information von
Fachpersonal kann durch die zuständige
Siemens-Abteilung durchgeführt werden.
Vor dem Beginn der Arbeiten am Vakuum-
schützsinddieörtlichenSicherheitsbestimmun-
gen für Hochspannungsschaltgeräte, z. B. die
"5 Sicherheitsregeln" nach DIN EN 50110,
Teil 1 + 2 zu beachten und die Versorgungs-
spannung auszuschalten.
Instandsetzung
Das Schütz ist bei Instandsetzungsarbeiten aus der Anlage
auszubauen.
Der Einbau der Ersatzteile ist gemäß den entsprechenden
Betriebsanleitungen durchzuführen.
Reinigung
ZurSicherstellung desIsoliervermögens istes notwendig,daß
die Isolierteile sauber sind. Isolierteile und gegebenenfalls
äußere Schützteile mit einem angefeuchteten Tuch abreiben.
Als Reinigungsmittel nur warmes Wasser unter Zusatz eines
milden, flüssigen Haushaltsreinigers verwenden (z. B. Pril).
Repair work
Remove the contactor from the switchboard for carrying out
repair work.
Installation of spare parts must be carried out in accordance
with the relevant operating instructions.
Cleaning
To assure the insulating capacity, it is necessary that the in-
sulating components be clean. Insulating components and
external contactor parts must be wiped with a damp cloth. Use
only warm water with the addition of a mild liquid household
detergent as cleaning agent.
WARNING
Windings and terminals must not be touched if
the power supply has not been disconnected.
Non-observance can result in death or serious
personal injury.
WARNUNG
Wicklungen und Anschlüsse dürfen nicht be-
rührt werden, solange die Versorgungs-
spannung nicht abgeschaltet ist.
Bei Nichtbeachtung können Tod oder schwere
