GENERAL INFORMATION
In order to enable or disable the motor immobilizer these systems use remote controls and
transponder keys. When the vehicle is locked by remote control the immobilizer is
automatically activated, vice versa to disactivate the motor immobilizer, open the vehicle using
a remote control and insert a coded transponder key into the ignition block.
If the vehicle is locked using a mechanical key only, the motor immobilizer is not active, but
activates automatically after 30 seconds.
REMOTE CONTROL INFORMATION
All vehicles provided with the remote control illustrated above use the immobilizer system
described and can be programmed by SDD. This remote control is a radio transmitter with two
buttons, one to activate and one to disactivate the motor immobilizer. The radio code is
modified on the remote control and immobilizer central unit every time the remote control is
used. If for any reason (flat battery, replacement of battery, etc.) the sequence becomes
unsynchronised (the remote control code is not the same as that on the central unit) it must be
re-synchronised in the following way:
- Insert an operational key into the ignition block and turn to the ON position; the remote
control is automatically re- synchronised;
- As an alternative to the above-mentioned procedure, do not insert a key into the ignition
block and quickly press both the buttons on the remote control simultaneously five times.
EKA CODE INFORMATION
The emergency start code is used in the event of a missing, broken or faulty remote control to
cut out the motor immobilizer manually.
In this case the immobilizer is disabled for one start only, at the end of which the operation must
be repeated.
The EKA code is made up of 4 digits and is different for each vehicle (each digit is a number
from 1 to 15). It is issued by the dealer and appears on the safety plate.
To disable the motor immobilizer proceed as follows:
1) Usando una chiave girarla in senso antiorario nella serratura della portiera
lato guida sulla posizione di CHIUSURA “LOCK” e tenerla in questa
posizione per almeno 6 minuti. Portare poi la chiave nella posizione centrale.
