FIRE HAZARD! Before turning the
device on, place it on a level, sta-
ble, dry, heat-resistant surface.
DANGER! Risk of injury
through burning! The appli-
ance's baking plate1gets very hot
during operation. Only touch the
control elements of the device dur-
ing operation.
WARNING! Risk of material damage!
Hard, pointed objects (such as metal
spoons) can damage the non-stick coating
of the baking plate1. Only use the included
kitchen utensils, or utensils made of wood or
heat-resistant plastic.
1. Unwind the mains cable6completely.
2. Place the baking plate1on the bottom
section2.
3. Wipe off any dust with a dry cloth.
4. Insert the power supply plug into a suit-
able mains socket. The red indicator3
comes on to show that the appliance is
connected to the power supply.
5. Turn the temperature control4to the
desired setting. As soon as operating
temperature has been reached, the
green indicator5comes on.
NOTE: you can control the browning of the
crêpes by altering the temperature and
cooking time. We recommend setting the
temperature control4to between "2" and
"MAX".
During operation, the green indicator5
(and thus the heater) will continually
turn on and off. This serves to maintain
as constant a temperature as possible.
6. Apply a little crêpe batter to the baking
plate1.
CAUTION: Take care to ensure that the bat-
ter does not flow over the edge of the baking
plate.
NOTE: Using a ladle, apply enough batter
to cover 2/3 of the baking plate1. If you
want thinner or thicker crêpes, pour a little
less or more batter onto the baking plate1.
7. Dip the batter spreader8in water.
NOTE: before making each new crêpe, dip
the batter spreader8in water. This makes it
easier to spread the batter without it sticking
to the spreader8.
8. Using the spreader8, spread the bat-
ter evenly over the baking plate1. To
do this, place the spreader on the sur-
face of the batter without applying
pressure and, using a circular motion,
spread the batter outwards so that it
evenly covers the baking plate1.
9. After 30 to 60 seconds (depending on
the temperature and how brown you
want the crêpe to be), flip the crêpe us-
ing the crêpe flipper7.
10. After another 30 to 60 seconds, lift the
finished crêpe off the baking plate1
using the crêpe flipper7.
11. Place the crêpe on a plate and add the
topping of your choice.
CAUTION:
~Never add toppings to the crêpe while
it is still on the baking plate1. Always
wait until it has been removed from the
