TheSimradPI50isdesignedfortheprofessionalsherycommunityimplementingthe
latestinnovations.Thecatchmonitoringsystemallowsyoutostayinfullcontrolofthe
gearanditsbehaviour.Thesystemisdesignedtobeequallyusefulforallshingtypes.
Bottomtrawlers,pelagictrawlers,purseordanishseiners-whateverkindofgearyou
use,allvesselscantakeadvantageofthefunctionalityprovidedbythePI50
TheSimradPI50comprisesthefollowingunits:
•Colourdisplay
•ProcessorUnit
•ReceiverUnit
•Hydrophone
Thehydrophoneismountedunderthevessel’shull.
Thesystemfurthercomprisesanumberofsmallandrobustsensorsmeasuringthe
conditionsonyourshinggear.TheSimradPI50Catchmonitoringsystemcanreceive
informationfromsixsensorssimultaneously.
Thesensorsarepoweredbybuilt-inrechargeablebatteries.Theyarehousedintitanium
casings,anddesignedusingadvancedshockabsorbingmaterials.Theinformation
collectedbythesensorsaresentthroughthewatertothehydrophonebymeansofcoded
soundwaves.TheReceiverUnitampliesanddecodestheinformation,convertsitto
digitalformat,andsendsittotheProcessorUnit(computer).Thecomputerinterpretsthe
information,andnallypresentsittoyou.

built-inloudspeakercanbeheard.Asanalternative,anexternalpoweredloudspeaker
canbeconnected.
