Important Information:
16-Channel Receiver, Nurse Call Button’s and Pagers rely on wireless technology which is subject to
physical and environmental considerations. These products do not have an out of range function and
as such should be tested periodically in the setting in which they are to be used to understand their
area of eective operation. Please be aware that the transmitter will not be 100% accurate if it is out of
range at anytime. Wireless systems and monitors are intended as an adjunct to good caregiving prac-
tices and are not a substitute for proper stang and patient management practices. We recommend
that all personnel receive periodic training in the operation of these systems and that the systems are
tested before each use.
Warning: Failure to comply with warning may result in injury or death. This device is not suitable for
all individuals. Other devices may be required. This device is not a substitute for visual monitoring by
caregiver. The manufacturer does not claim that this device will stop elopement and or stop falls. This
device is to help augment caregivers comprehensive resident mobility management program. Test

The Smart Caregiver Corporation 16-Channel Wireless Call System & Nurse Call Paging System are
designed to be installed by the end-user. As such, it is the entire responsibility of the buyer to insure
that the system is properly installed and tested. Further, the system is not designed to replace good
care giving practices including, but not limited to:
a.) Direct patient supervision
b.) Adequate training for sta personnel for elopement
c.) Testing of the system before each use.
WHERE PERMISSIBLE, IT IS THE SELLER’S INTENT TO LIMIT ANY LIABILITY FOR SPECIAL, CONSEQUEN-
TIAL OR INCIDENTAL ECONOMIC DAMAGES TO REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE OR REPLACEMENT

INSERT BATTERIES (Not Included)
Insert 4 “C” batteries into the 16-Channel Receiver
Insert 2 “AA” batteries into the Caregiver pager.
Nurse Call Buttons (batteries included.)
ASSIGN NUMBER TO BUTTON
Insert Pen into “Record” button hole located on the
receiver. Press and Hold.
Wait for 4 beeps and then press the desired Nurse Call
Button until the receiver beeps once and displays a
number. Number shown is that Nurse Call Button’s
identication number. Please note that the monitor will
be shipped with the alarm volume set at 90 decibels
(90 decibels is the legally accepted occupational noise
allowance).
Wait for two beeps, then press the next Nurse Call But-
ton to be programmed. Continue this until all desired
buttons are programmed. A total of 16 Nurse Call But-
tons can be programmed with the receiver.
Receiver will beep 3 times before it exits programming
mode
Make sure the switch on side is positioned to“Call” and
not “Alarm”.
ADJUST TONES
Press the Reset button.
Press desired Nurse Call Button to set o the Receiver.
Press the“Selected Songs” button on the receiver and
select a song. NOTE: When alarm is activated the song
plays out completely. Short songs are available.
Adjust volume while the song is playing by pressing
the “Volume +/-”button on the receiver.
TEST SYSTEM
Test system by pressing the Nurse Call Button. Pager
and Receiver should alarm. NOTE: Pager tones can be
adjusted on the bottom of the pager.
When the alarm is activated press the“Reset” button
on the Receiver to acknowledge activation and to reset
the Nurse Call Button.
Hang Nurse Call Buttons on the wall using double
sided tape or wear it as a pendant around the neck.
Attach Pager to caregiver, or place pager where it can
be heard by the caregiver.
IMPORTANT: End user is responsible for testing
system at it’s furthest range of use. This is to ensure
that the caregiver understands the range of the system
and leaving it will make the system ineective.

16-CHANNEL WIRELESS CALL SYSTEM
This 16-Channel Receiver is programmable for up to sixteen residents (use TL-5116NC).
The 16-Channel Receiver identies the resident who called (via the Nurse Call Button/
Pendant TL-5116NC), while the Caregiver is notied on the Caregiver Pager (TL-5116P).
System must be located within 300 feet of the button/pendant. This Unit comes with a
60 Day Warranty. Pagers and Nurse Call Buttons sold separately.
