Before using your Soleus Air personal heater, please read this owner’s manual carefully. Store this manual in a
safe place for future reference.
1. Rea ALL instructions before using this unit.
2. CAUTION: Risk of Electric Shock. DO NOT open or try to repair the heater yourself.
3. This heater is hot when in use. To avoi burns, DO NOT let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provi e ,
use han les when moving this heater.
4. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, be ing, paper, clothes, an curtains at least 3
ft from the front of the heater an keep them away from the si es an rear. DO NOT place towels or
other objects on the heater.
5. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is use by or near chil ren or the isable , or when the
heater is left operating an unatten e .
6. DO NOT operate any heater with a amage cor or after the heater malfunctions, has been roppe
or amage in any manner. Return heater to authorize service facility for examination, electrical or

locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. To protect against electrical

10. DO NOT insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause
an electric shock or fire, or amage the heater.
11. To prevent a possible fire, DO NOT block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. DO NOT use on soft
surfaces, like a be , where openings may become blocke .

Pola ized Plug
Warning: This heater is equippe with a polarize plug (one bla e is wi er than the other). The plug is in-
ten e to fit into a power outlet only one way, with the wi e bla e in the wi e slot. This is a safety feature; if
you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug still oes not fit, contact
a qualifie electrician.
DO NOT DEFEAT THE SAFETY PURPOSE OF THE POLARIZED PLUG.
Tip-Ove Safety Switch
This heater is equippe with a tip-over safety switch locate un erneath the base of the heater. This switch
must be presse inwar for the heater to function properly. Some soft surfaces such as carpet may not be able
to fully press in this switch. For some soft surfaces, a har flat object will nee to be place un erneath the
heater for it to function properly. PLEASE DO NOT TAPE OR GLUE THIS SWITCH.

ASSEMBLY
Remove the heater bo y an base from box. Remove the packaging materials.
1. Lay the heater bo y on a level surface, an then unscrew the 2 butterfly screws from the bottom of the
heater.
2. Pull the power cor through the hole at the center of the base, an align the base with the bottom of the
heater. The power cor shoul fit through the slot in the base.
3. Attach the base to the heater bo y with the butterfly screws.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Place the heater on a firm, level surface an plug into a groun e 120V 60Hz power outlet.
Turn the knobs locate on top to the esire setting:
POWER NOB:
LOW: Only one of the reflective tubes will operate, heating up to 400W.
HIGH: Both reflective tubes operate, heating up to 800W.
OFF: Heater will stop operating.
OSCILLATION NOB:
SWING: The unit will oscillate 60.° This feature can be use on both low an high settings.
STILL: The unit will be stationary.
Unplug the heater when not in use.
NOTE: A tip-over safety protection switch is installe at the bottom of the heater. When the heater is
place horizontally, lai own or lifte up, it stops operating to ensure safety. After placing the heater
upright it will resume operation. (See Page 4 for more information).
NOTE: For safety, if the heater’s internal temperature rises above a certain point, the heater is esigne
to automatically shut off. To restart the heater in this situation:
1. Turn the Power Knob to OFF.
2. Unplug the power cor from the outlet an allow the heater to cool for at least 10 minutes.
3. Plug the power cor back into the outlet. Turn the knobs locate on top to select the esire setting.
WARNING: It is normal for the power cor to feel warm to the touch; however, a loose fit between the outlet
an the plug may cause overheating of the plug. If this occurs, try inserting the plug into a ifferent outlet.
Contact a qualifie electrician to inspect the original outlet for amage.

MAINTENANCE
1. Unplug the unit an let it cool completely.
2. To keep the heater clean, the outer shell may be cleane with a soft, amp cloth. You may use a mil
etergent if necessary. After cleaning, ry the unit with a soft cloth. CAUTION: DO NOT let liqui
enter the heater.
3. DO NOT use alcohol, gasoline, abrasive pow ers, furniture polish, or rough brushes to clean the
heater. This may cause amage or eterioration to the surface of the heater.
4. DO NOT immerse the heater in water.
5. Wait until the unit is completely ry before use.
STORAGE
Store the heater in a cool, ry location when not in use. Preferably, to prevent ust an irt buil -up, use the
ol packaging to repack the unit.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the heater will not operate, please check the following before seeking repair of service:
1. Check if the power cor is plugge into an electrical outlet, if not, plug in.
2. Check if electricity to the main fuse is working.
3. Check if the Power Knob is turne to Low or High. If not, turn the Power Knob to one of these set-
tings.
4. Check if the heater is on a level surface. If the tip-over safety switch is not pushe in, the heater will
not run.

Soleus International Inc. warrants the accompanying Soleus Air heater to be free of efects in material an workman-
ship for the applications specifie in its operation instruction for a perio of ONE (1) year from the ate of original re-
tail purchase in the Unite States.
If the unit exhibits a efect in normal use, Soleus International Inc. will, at its option, either repair or replace it, free of
charge within a reasonable time after the unit is returne uring the warranty perio .
As a con ition to any warranty service obligation, the consumer must present this Warranty Certificate along with a
copy of the original purchase invoice.
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:
• Damage, acci ental or otherwise, to the unit while in the possession of a consumer not cause by a efect in
material or workmanship.
• Damage cause by consumer misuse, tampering, or failure to follow the care an special han ling provisions
in the instructions.
• Damage to the finish of the case, or other appearance parts cause by wear.
• Damage cause by repairs or alterations of the unit by anyone other than those authorize by Soleus Interna-
tional Inc.
• Freight an Insurance cost for the warranty service.
ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANT ABILITY ARE LIMITED TO
ONE-YEAR DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY. SOLEUS INTERNATIONAL INC.
DISCLAIMS ANY LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES AND IN NO EVENT
SHALL SOLEUS INTERNATIONAL INC’S LIABILITY EXCEED THE RETAIL VALUE OF THE UNIT FOR
BREACH OF ANY WRITTEN OR IMPLIED WARRANTY WITH RESPECT TO THIS UNIT.
This warranty covers only new pro ucts purchase from our authorize ealers or retailers. It oes not cover use , sal-
vage , or refurbishe pro ucts.
