EN Solight 1D37 Flammable Gas Detector
Dear Valued Customer, allow us to thank you for purchasing our product. Read and
follow the following instructions carefully. Doing so will avoid improper use or damage to the product.
Carefully keep the present operating manual. Intended for indoor use. Never expose to environments with
high humidity (such as bathroom), avoid contact with fluids.
Introduction
This device is designed to detect flammable gases that may leak from mains or general household
appliances. However, it cannot detect the toxic carbon monoxide (CO) or smoke. The detector is capable of
detecting liquefied petroleum gas, natural gas, coal gas, methane, propane and butane.
Installation
As shown in the table above, some gases are lighter than air and others are heavier. Therefore, it is
important to realize what gas may start to leak and to choose the proper location accordingly. Do not place
the device to locations exposed to draughts, close to ventilation devices or other areas that may logically
affect proper operation.
Gas lighter than air: Place the detector 0.3 to 1m
from the ceiling within 3m of the gas appliance.
Gas heavier than air: Place the detector 0.3 to 1m
from the floor within 3m of the gas appliance.
Insert a rechargeable 9V battery into the battery
compartment. Now place the detector to the
selected location and plug it into a 220-240V, 50Hz
power socket. The green LED will go on and the
light LED will start flashing. After approx. three
minutes the device is ready to detect flammable
gases.
Alarm
The device will trigger an audible audible and visual (red flashing LED) signal upon detection of an identifiable
gas at a concentration exceeding 2500PPM. In this case, close the gas supply and ventilate the room. In case
of occurring false alarms, check the correct location of the device.
Maintenance
Wipe the device with a dry or slightly damp cloth at monthly intervals. Do not use detergents or inject
anything into the device. Have the device checked by a service centre or a specialist half-yearly.
