SS-X7Aは、コーン型ウーファーおよびトゥイーターを採用した2ウェイバ
スレフ方式のスピーカーシステムです。
特にソニーのPVM-2950QJ、PGM-200R1Jなどのトリニトロン1)カラーモ
ニターと組み合わせるのに適しています。前面グリルは音抜けのよい
金属メッシュ。小型ながら高音質のステレオサウンドをお楽しみくださ
い。

きは、すぐに接続しているモニターまたはアンプなどの電源スイッチを切
り、スピーカーコードをスピーカー端子から抜き、お買い上げ店またはソ
ニーサービス窓口にご相談ください。

けがをしたり周辺の物品に損害を与えることがあります。
スピーカーコードを傷つけない
スピーカーコードを傷つけると、火災や感電の原因となることが
あります。
•設置時に、製品と壁や棚との間にはさみ込んだりしない。
•設置時に、スピーカー本体やモニターまたはアンプなどの下にはさみ込ん
だりしない。
万一、スピーカーコードが傷んだら、お買い上げ店またはソニーサービス窓
口に交換をご依頼ください。
大音量で長時間つづけて聞きすぎない
耳を刺激するような大きな音量で長時間つづけて聞くと、聴力に悪い影響を
与えることがあります。呼びかけられて返事ができるくらいの音量で聞きま
しょう。

使用・保管場所
次のような場所での使用および保管は避けてください。
•極端に暑い所や寒い所（動作温度は−5℃〜＋45℃）
•直射日光が長時間あたる場所や暖房器具の近く
•湿気、ほこりの多い所
•雨のあたる所
•激しく振動する所
お手入れ
•キャビネットやパネルの汚れは、乾いたやわらかい布でふきとってく
ださい。汚れがひどいときは、中性洗剤のうすめ液を含ませた布でふ
きとった後、からぶきしてください。
•アルコール、ベンジン、シンナーなど揮発性のものは使わないでくだ
さい。表面の仕上げをいためたり、表示が消えたりすることがありま
す。
放熱
動作中は布などで包まないでください。内部の温度が上がり、故障や
事故の原因となります。
その他
•燃えやすいもの、金属片、水などを内部に入れないでください。故障
や事故の原因となります。
•輸送するときは、付属のカートンとクッション、もしくは同等品で梱包
し、強い衝撃を与えないようにしてください。

カラーモニターなどと接続する
接続する機器（カラーモニター、アンプなど）の電源は必ず切ってくだ
さい。
カラーモニターなどのスピーカー端子へつなぎます。
右スピーカーはモニターなどの右スピーカー端子に、左スピーカーはモ
ニターなどの左スピーカー端子につなぎます。
赤いコードで‘端子どうしを、黒いコードで’端子どうしをつなぎます。
ご注意
•芯線がはみ出して、スピーカー端子どうしがショートしないように注意
してください。
•スピーカーとスピーカー端子の色合わせ（左右の区別）を間違えない
ようにしてください。片方のスピーカーコードの‘’の接続がもう一方
と逆になることを、左右のスピーカーが逆位相になっていると言いま
す。逆位相になると、ステレオ放送で低音が小さい、高音で方向感
がなくなる、全体に音が後方に引っ込んで聞こえる、ステレオ感がな
くなるなどの症状が起こります 。
•低音増強スイッチのあるモニターにつなぐ場合は、低音増強スイッチ
を「入」に設定してください。
•スピーカーをモニターとアンプの両方に接続しないでください。アンプ
からモニターにスピーカーコードを通じて過大な電流が流れることが
あり、モニターの故障の原因となります。

設置する
1付属の飾りネジ（左右各2本ずつ）を、カラーモニターのネジ
穴に差し込み、コインなどを使って最後までしっかりねじ込む。
2角度調節ネジをゆるめて台座を開き、手順1で差し込んだ飾
りネジにはめる。
スピーカーが止まるまで下に押して、しっかり固定してくださ
い。
3スピーカーの角度を調節し、角度調節ネジを締めて固定する。
スピーカーを取りはずすときは
少し上に持ち上げるようにしてはずします。
SS-X7Aは、下記のトリニトロンカラーモニターに取り付けることができま
す。その場合は必ず、本機に付属の飾りネジで取り付けてください。

ご注意
•90゜より前に調節することはできません。この状態のときは、絶対にう
しろから押さないでください。
•スピーカーを持ってモニターを持ち上げないでください。スピーカーが
はずれてモニターが落下することがあり大変危険です。
•トゥイーターが上になるように（SONYマークが逆にならないように）取
り付けてください。
保証書について
•この製品には保証書が添付されていますので、お買い上げの際お受
け取りください。
•所定事項の記入および記載内容をお確かめのうえ、大切に保存して
ください。
•保証期間は、お買い上げ日より1年間です。

The SS-X7A is a two-way speaker system which adopts the
corn-type woofer and tweeter.
Especially, the speaker system is designed for use with a
Sony Trinitron1) color monitor such as PVM-2950Q/
2950QM and PGM-200R1A/200R1E/200R1U. The metal-
mesh grille is suitable for releasing the sound. You can
enjoy the high quality stereo sound regardless of its small-
size body.

Precautions
Operating and storage locations
Avoid operating or storing the product in the following
locations.
• Extremely hot or cold places (operating temperature:
–5°C to +45°C [23°F to 113°F])
• In direct sunlight for long periods, or close to heating
equipment
• Damp or dusty places
• Where it is exposed to rain
• Locations subject to strong vibration
Care
• Clean the cabinet with a soft, dry cloth. If it is very dirty,
use a cloth dampened with a small quantity of neutral
detergent, then wipe dry.
• Avoid the use of volatile solvents such as alcohol, benzene,
and thinners. They may damage the surface finish, or
impair the operation of the shutter adaptor.
Ventilation
Do not wrap the unit in a cloth, etc., during operation. This
may cause the internal temperature to rise excessively and
the unit to malfunction.
Miscellaneous
• Be careful not to spill water or other liquids on the unit or
allow combustible or metallic objects inside the body. If
used with foreign objects inside, the unit is liable to fail or
cause a fire or an electric shock.
• If the product is transported or shipped, repack it as
originally packed at the factory, or in materials equal in
quality.
In the event of any problems with the operation of the unit,
contact your Sony service representative.

Connecting to the Color Monitor
Before connecting the speaker system, be sure to turn off
the connected equipment such as a color monitor or an
amplifier.
Connect one end of the speaker cord to the speaker
terminals on the monitor and the other end to the speaker
terminals on the speaker.
The right speaker is connected to the right speaker terminals
on the monitor, and the left speaker is to the left terminals.
Match the polarity of the speaker terminals with the polarity
of the speaker terminals on the monitor, ‘to ‘with the
red cord and ’to ’with black cord.
Notes
• Be careful not to short-circuit the speaker terminals
according to the wire sticking out of the insulation.
• Connect the speaker cords with correct polarity. Correct
‘’ connections of both speaker systems insures proper
inphase operation. If the speaker system is out-of-phase,
the bass tones seem to be missing and the position of the
sound sources become obscure.
• When connecting to a monitor with a bass boost function,
turn on the bass boost function.
• Do not connect the speakers to both an amplifier and a
monitor at the same time. Otherwise, the excessive electric
current may flow from the amplifier to the monitor via the
speader cord, which may damage the monitor.

Installation
1Insert the supplied screws (2 each for the right/left side)
into the attachment holes of the monitor, and tighten the
screws completely by using a coin.
2Loosen the angle adjustment screws and open the
pedestal. Hook the speaker to the screws which is
inserted in step 1.
Push down the speaker until it stops, and fix it firmly.
3Adjust the angle of the speaker, and tighten the
adjustment angle screws.
To remove the speakers
Take off the speaker pulling it up slightly.
The SS-X7A can be installed in the following Trinitron
color monitors. Be sure to use the supplied screws for the
installation.
PVM-2030/2130QM/2950Q/2950QM and PGM-200R1A/
200R1E/200R1U.

Notes
• This system cannot be adjusted at less than 90˚. Do not
push the back of the speaker attached to the monitor at this
situation.
• Do not lift up the monitor with holding the speakers
attached to the monitor. It may cause personal injury that
the speakers come off from the monitor.
• Install the speaker with the tweeter on the top. (Not to
install it with the SONY mark upside down.)
