The
built-in
clock
shows
the
time
in
the
display
even
if
the
power
is
off.
You
need
to
set
the
clock
to
enjoy
the
timer-activated
features
of
your
stereo
system.
Use
the
buttons
on
the
unit
to
do
this
operation.

You

insert

CDs
at
one
time.
In
addition

playing
these
five
CDs

succession,
you
can

back

a
wide
variety

modes,
such

shuffle,
and
programme.
You
can
also
play
back
only
certain
selected
CDs
and
tracks
that
you
want
to
hear.
You
can
operate
the
stereo
system
on
the
unit
or
from
the
supplied
remote
commander.
Also,
you
can
play
12
cm
(5-inch)
and
8
cm
(3-inch)
CDs.
If
the
CD
is
supplied
with
an
adaptor,
remove
it
before
playing
the
CD.
Before
you
play
the
CD,
decrease
the
sound
level
by
turing
the
VOLUME
control
~
counterclockwise,
to
avoid
damaging
the
speakers.
Note
When
the
system
is
first
plugged
in,
even
if
the
power
is
not
on,
the
CD
player
will
make
mechanical
sounds
internally,
and
the
message
“Initializing”
will
scroll
across
the
display
window.
While
this
display
is
in
progress,
nothing
will
happen
even
if
the
power
is
turned
on
and
the
CD
player
buttons
are
pressed.
If
any
other
function
(TUNER,
TAPE)
is
selected,
sound
will
be
produced
from
the
speakers
but
the
“Initializing”
message
will
still
scroll
across
the
display.

You
can
set
the
stereo
system
to
turn
off
automatically
so
you
can
go
to
sleep
to
music.
Before
setting
the
sleep
timer,
make
sure
the
clock
has
been
set
correctly.

Play
your
favourite
sound
source
(a
tape,
the
tuner
or
a
CD).

Press
SLEEP
while
the
source
is
playing
to
choose
how
long
you
want
the
music
to
play.
“SLEEP”
and
the
minutes
indication
appear
in
the
display.
As
you
press
SLEEP,
the
indication
decreases
by
ten
minutes
from
90
to
10.
The
power
will
turn
off
after
90
to
10
minutes
depending
on
the
length
of
time
you
chose.

OFF”.

remaining

the
sleep
timer

once.
The

change
the
remaining
time
while
the
sleep
timer
is
in
operation
Press
SLEEP
repeatedly
and
select
the
remaining
time
you
want.

turn

timer
turns

You
can
wake
up
to
music
at
a
preset
time.
You
need
only
set
the
timer
once.
When
you
select
the
CD
player
as
the
sound
source,
you
can
play
a
CD
in
any
play
mode
(normal,
shuffle
or
program).
The
timer
will
remain
activated
until
you
reset
it
or
you
disconnect
the
power
cord.
Before
setting
the
timer,
make
sure
the
clock
