SOUNDBOKS SOUNDBOKS 2 User manual

THIS IS
YOUR NEW
SOUNDBOKS 2
DC MODULE.
Here’s what you’ll need to install it:
Electric screwdriver
Plus 1x cable tie + 2 small DC module screws
Phillips Head (PH1) bit and
Phillips Head (PH2) bit
Stubby screwdriver
Wire cutters
PH1
PH2
1. Grab your electric screwdriver and attach the
PH2 bit.
2. Remove the left-side handle bar and cup via
the eight (8) cabinet screws.
3. The handle bar will separate from the cup.
Remove the handle bar and pop the cup out.
4. Inside the cabinet, locate the cable running
from the DC module to the PCBA
5. Follow this cable and disconnect it from
the PCBA by pressing rmly on the Molex
connector clip, but remember the location of
the connection for future use.
Heads Up! The four (4) screws attaching the handle bar to the cup will
be slightly longer than the remaining four (4) screws. Put them aside
to prevent the wrong screws being used.
Heads Up! The cable will be bundled together with a plastic cable
tie. To fully disconnect the DC module, you’ll rst need to VERY
CAREFULLY cut the plastic tie. Make sure not to clip any cables.
REMOVE THE DAMAGED
SLOT-IN/DC MODULE
First, we’ll disconnect the DC module.
1. Grab your stubby screwdriver with the PH1 bit,
and unscrew the two (2) screws connecting
the DC module to the battery slot in. Careful
not to strip the screws.
2. Pull the DC cable out through the battery slot
to remove.
Then, we’ll disconnect the DC module from the
battery slot.
1. Feed the DC module through the hole in the
battery slot-in.
2. Connect the DC module Molex to the same place
on the PCBA.
3. Using the cable tie, bundle the cables back
together.
4. Grab your stubby screwdriver with the PH1 bit,
and replace the two (2) small screws to connect
the DC module to the battery slot-in.
INSERT THE NEW
DC MODULE
1. Place the cup and handle bar back into the slot.
2. Using your electric screwdriver with the PH2
bit, replace the eight (8) screws and reattach
the handle to the cabinet. Remember to use
the 4 longer screws when attaching the handle
bar. Be careful not to over-tighten!
3. There is no step three. You’re done.
RE-ATTACH THE HANDLE
HEAR THAT? IT’S THE
SWEET SOUND OF YOUR
SOUNDBOKS BACK AT 11.
WAY TO GO, DIY HERO.
