reference.
You should also read the entire Bicycle Owner’s Manual (“Owner’s Manual”) as it has additional important, general information and
instructions you should follow. If you don’t have a copy of the Owner’s Manual, you can download it at www.globebikes.com or obtain it
from Globe Rider Care or your nearest Authorized Globe Retailer.
Additional safety, performance, and service information for specific components such as brakes or pedals on your bicycle or accessories

Symbols
When reading this assembly guide, you will note various important symbols and warnings, which are explained below:
WARNING! The combination of this symbol and word indicates a potentially hazardous situation that, if not avoided, could result
in serious injury or death. Many of the Warnings say “you may lose control and fall.” Because any fall can result in serious injury or
even death, we do not always repeat the warning of possible injury or death.
CAUTION: The combination of the safety alert symbol and the word CAUTION indicates a potentially hazardous situation, that, if
not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury, or is an alert against unsafe practices
The word CAUTION used without the safety alert symbol indicates a situation that, if not avoided, could result in serious damage
to the bicycle or the voiding of your warranty.
This symbol alerts the reader to information that is particularly important.
This symbol means that high-quality grease should be applied as illustrated.
Tech tips are helpful tips and tricks regarding installation and use.
Refer to the Owner’s Manual supplied with your bicycle for more specific information.
Where applicable, refer to the User Manual supplied with your bicycle for more specific information.

Torque Wrench
zIt is important to properly use a torque wrench during assembly
to make sure all bolts are tightened to specification.
zThe small torque wrench provided with your bicycle has a range
of 3-10 Nm and the large torque wrench has a range of 10-20
Nm.
zApplicable torque specifications can be found in the user
manual section of this document or printed on the part near the
bolt you are torquing. General torque specifications for other
components may also be found in the Owner’s Manual.
zFollowing are instructions on how to use the provided torque
wrench. If, after reading the instructions, you are still unsure of
how to use the torque wrench, please contact your Authorized
Globe Retailer for assistance.
WARNING! Correct tightening force on fasteners (nuts, bolts,
screws) on your bicycle is important for your safety. If too
little force is applied, the fastener may not hold securely. If
too much force is applied, the fastener can strip threads,
stretch, deform or break.
An incorrect tightening force can result in component
failure, which can cause you to lose control and fall. Where
indicated, ensure each bolt is torqued to specification.
After your first ride and consistently after that, recheck the
tightness of each bolt to ensure secure attachment of the
components.
The gauge measurements on this torque wrench only
display in Nm. If you choose to use your own tools, both Nm
and in-lbf torque specifications are provided in the bicycle’s
user manual.

arm clockwise until you feel resistance and the lever arm starts
to flex.
zOnce the lever arm starts to flex, apply the correct torque to
the bolt by turning the lever until the torque pointer is aligned
with the applicable numbered line on the torque gauge, then
stop and remove the torque wrench from the bolt (e.g. If the
specification is 20 Nm, turn the lever arm until the torque pointer
isaligned with the line to the left of “20”).
CAUTION: Do not touch the torque gauge with your fingers
when using the wrench as this could result in a false
reading.

and insert it into the socket of the torque wrench (A).
zWhen there is no tension on the torque wrench lever arm, the
right face of the arm/pointer (B) is aligned with the small white
line to the left of the “0” on the torque gauge (C).
Not all provided hex bits are needed to complete
assembly. Keep them handy for later maintenance.

A
zSet the box upright in an open space.
zRotate the plastic locks (A) clockwise and remove them to
unlock the inner packaging from the outer packaging.
zUsing the side handles (B), lift the outer packaging up and off
the inner packaging.
zThe base packaging will now function as a bike stand during
assembly.
Your Globe bicycle may be heavier than a bicycle without
motor support. Use caution when handling, carrying, or
lifting. The unpacking and assembly of this bicycle is best
completed with the help of another person.
Step 2: Remove the small parts box
1
zThe small parts box is located on the top of the rear internal
packaging tower.
zRemove the small partsbox. Open and remove the manuals,
pedals, reflectors, bell, and tools required for assembly.

4b
zRemove the center packaging brace and the packing block
from the center tower to access the stem assembly and the
wrench.
zRemove the wrench from the center tower and set it aside for
use later on.

11
Step 6:
zSlide the quill stem shaft into the head tube to the desired height
with the stem faceplate facing the front of the bicycle.
WARNING! The quill stem shaft must be inserted deep
enough into the head tube so the minimum insertion line
is below the headset lock nut. Failure to follow this warning
may cause structural damage to the quill stem and/or
frame and you may lose control and fall.
Step 5:
6 MM

facing the front of the bike, then place the stem faceplate over
the handlebar with the faceplate holes and stem holes aligned.
zEnsure there’s a washer on each bolt, then thread the bolts
through the faceplate into the stem body. Using the supplied
torque wrench and 6 mm hex bit, lightly tighten the bolts until
the upper and lower gaps between the stem body and stem
faceplate are approximately the same.
