Return to Factory Default Settings
Click on the Yes, reset my SpeedTouch button

Step 2: Checking Connectivity to the Internet

Check connectivity to the Internet as an option
("IP" is disabled under "test@test" account: "No DNS server configured for this Internet
service.")

Step 3: System Configuration Wizard
Click the link below to go to your Speedtouch 516’s Configuration Wizard
System Configuration Wizard
Choose between "Routed PPP" or "Bridge" modes and click the Next button
Set VPI/VCI to "0.35", choose "PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE)" and click the Next button
Fill the "UserName" (ex.: "test@test"), "PassWord" (ex.: "test") and "Confirm PassWord"
(ex.: "test") fields then click the Next button
Fill the "UserName" ("Administrator" by default), "PassWord" (confirm your own) and
"Confirm PassWord" (confirm your own) fields then click the Next button
Review and validate configuration by clicking on the Start button
Exiting the SpeedTouch Easy Setup wizard by clicking on the Finish button doesn't work when
full page so just return to http://speedtouch.lan/...

While in "Disconnected" status choose one account and click on the Connect button

Check "Auto-configuration" box
Set "Timezone" to "(UTC-05:00) Easter Time (US&Canada)"
Define "Time Server 1" as "time.nrc.ca"
Define "Time Server 2" as "time.chu.nrc.ca"
Optionally change "Web Browsing Interception" from "Automatic" to "Enabled" or
"Disabled"
Click on the Apply button to validate
Optionally repeat Step #2

Step 5: Configuring the Firewall Security Settings
Click the link below to go to your Speedtouch 516’s Firewall Security Settings

Optionally select "Standard" and click on the Apply button to validate

Step 6: Telnet into the SpeedTouch 516

Step 7: Backup and Restore Process
