• With the help of another person place box on roof rack.

•Slide forward or backward to position mounting slots properly over crossbars.
NOTE: Mount box towards the rear of the vehicle to minimize wind resistance.

3 • If crossbars are adjustable, set to widest position which can be accommodated by
mounting slots.
NOTE: Minimum bar spread = 23 5/8" or 600mm.

•Check rear hatch and front hood clearance.

• Remove carrier from vehicle’s roof rack crossrails. Assemble the saddle assembly on carrier
bottom, using the desired pre-drilled holes. Turn the threaded knobs clockwise just enough to
engage the threaded ends of the carriage bolts. Leave the assembly loose.

• When you are ready to mount the carrier to the vehicle’s roof rack crossrails,slide each saddle
until it separates from the carriage bolt and drops down.
7 • Make sure that loads are evenly distributed inside the roof box. Do not exceed the maximum
permitted load of 110 lbs./50 kg for the box or the maximum permitted load for the roof as
recommended by the vehicle manufacturer, as well of the maximum load of the load carrier.

8UNLOCKING/LOCKING THE BOX
UNLOCKING: Insert the key and turn clockwise to the unlocked position. The key can only be
removed when the box lid is closed and locked.
LOCKING: To close, press down on the lid at the front and rear of the box. Turn the key
counter-clockwise to lock. Remove key.

lock core number, follow steps 1–9 below.

11 MAINTENANCE
•The roof box should be carefully cleaned and maintained, particularly in the winter months (see step 11).

•The locks should be lubricated with graphite or similar dry lubricant.
•Box should be protected from exposure to the elements during prolonged periods of storage.
•Box and fittings should be inspected periodically for damage.

GENERAL CLEANING
• Clean with mild soap and lukewarm water.
• Use a soft damp cloth or chamois. Wipe
surface gently.
• Dry by blotting with damp cloth or chamois.

TO RESTORE ORIGINAL LUSTER:
• Recommended spray polish & waxes:

Meguiar’s “NXT Generation Spray Wax”
• Use as instructed by the manufacturer.
TO REMOVE MINOR SCRATCHES
• Recommended scratch removers:
Novus plastic polish
No. 2 - Fine scratch remover
Use as instructed by the manufacturer.
• AVOID: wiping with cloths that may contain grit
or abrasives.
• AVOID: using powdered cleaners.
• AVOID: using cleaning solutions, polishes
or waxes which contain petroleum
distillates or strong solvents.
NOTE: Any product not recommended should be
tested on a small inconspicuous area first.
Wash off immediately if surface starts to
soften or degrade in any manner.
