Stealth Cam Limited Warranty
Your Stealth Cam s outing amera is overed by a 90 days Limited Warranty
on parts and labor from the date of original pur hase, and pur hases must be
made through an authorized dealer. The warranty overs defe ts in
workmanship and materials. The warranty does not apply to units, whi h have
been damaged or abused intentionally or unintentionally. A pur hase from
individuals or unauthorized internet sites voids the warranty.
Tampering with or altering the unit will void the warranty. Any unauthorized
servi e will void warranty. Original sales re eipt must be produ ed for any
warranty servi e and a Return Authorization (RA) number must be obtained
from ustomer servi e at 877-269-8490 prior to returning produ t.

Battery & memory installation
The Stealth Cam STC-DVIR5 PROWLER Advan ed Digital
S outing Camera is designed to operate using two different types
of battery power options.
NOTE: Always have amera in the OFF position when installing or
removing batteries.
Batteries “C” ell
The internal battery ompartment a epts 6 “C” ell batteries. Be
sure to use high quality brand name alkaline batteries. Install
batteries with orre t polarity (+/-) as noted inside the battery
ompartment.
Warning:
Do not use different Voltage lead
a id battery other than the one spe ified in
this se tion. Doing so will damage the amera
and will void the warranty.

12V Lead A id external battery
The STC-DVIR5 PROWLER is equipped with an external power
ja k designed to a ept a barrel plug able to atta h to a sealed
lead a id battery. (sold separately). Battery able and omplete
12V Lead A id battery kits are available wherever Stealth Cam
s outing ameras are sold or all toll free 877-269-8490. Only
Stealth Cam external battery a essories are re ommended.
• Insert the external battery barrel plug into the DC 12V ja k on
the bottom of amera housing
• Turn the amera power on.
 Please make sure the voltage and polar ty (+/-) are correct
before connect on. Incorrect voltage or polar ty (+/-) w ll
damage the camera.
Memory Options
Your STC-DVIR5 PROWLER amera is equipped with 32MB built
in flash memory. The amera is also equipped with an
expandable media ard slot apable of a epting up to 2GB SD
ard (sold separately). With no memory ard inserted into the slot,

the amera will use the built in 32MB memory. If an SD ard is
inserted into the slot then the amera will bypass the built in
memory and utilize the SD memory. The front ounter display will
show the number of images on the built in memory unless the
expansion ard is inserted at whi h point the ounter will only
show the number of images in the expansion ard.
Inserting SD ard
Make sure camera s n the OFF pos t on whenever add ng or
remov ng memory.
• Insert SD memory ard in to the SD ard slot ompletely and in
the orre t dire tion as shown by the sti ker lo ated at the side
of the housing.
• To remove the SD memory ard, depress the SD ard and pull
out the ard gently.
 SD cards must be clean (no mages from other sources). If
you are us ng the SD card from other cameras, please
make sure to format the SD card pr or use n the STC-
DVIR5 PROWLER. New cards are good to use stra ght
from the package.

Set up and Programming
When the amera is first turned on the internal LCD s reen displays
the amera status. The following information is present on this s reen.
 If no buttons are pressed after 30 seconds the LCD screen
w ll power down to conserve battery l fe and enter 1
m nute count down to enter PIR detect on mode. To re-
power the d splay screen press and hold the UP or DOWN
button for at least 5 seconds.

Definition
• Time out: To set the amount of time in minutes the amera will
sleep between PIR triggering.
• Capture mode:
o 1P ~ 9P: 1 to 9 burst mode image apturing per PIR
triggering.
o Video: 5 to 90 se onds adjustable video per PIR triggering.
• Resolution:
 Color Day time
o 5.0M : Sele t this option to apture a 5.0M pixels image.
(High image quality)
o 3.0M : Sele t this option to apture a 3.0M pixels image.
(Low image quality)
o 1.3M : Sele t this option to apture a 1.3M pixels image.
(Base image quality)
o Video resolution (640 x 480): This is the resolution during
video apturing.

 B&W Night time
o 2.0M : Sele t this option to apture a 2.0M pixels image.
(High image quality)
o 1.3M : Sele t this option to apture a 1.3M pixels image.
(Low image quality)
o 0.3M : Sele t this option to apture a 0.3M pixels image.
(Base image quality)
o Video resolution (640 x 480): This is the resolution during
video apturing.
• Batteries Status: It shows the battery status.
o Full: It shows the battery is full.
o Low: It shows the battery is low and front Low Battery
indi ator will also blink.
 When the camera has detected low batter es, (Batter es are
lower then 6.0 +/-0.2Volts) the camera un t w ll power off
w th n 30 seconds automat cally. Please replace w th new
batter es; otherw se the camera w ll not work properly.

• Day and Time: It shows the date and time that you have set.
• Moon phase and Temperature: It shows the moon phase and
temperature.

Programming the Stealth Cam STC-DVIR5 PROWLER
Swit h the amera to the ON position. LCD s reen will display the
amera status s reen. Press the MENU button within 30 se onds to
enter programming mode.
If MENU button is not pressed within 30 se onds, amera will
automati ally enter PIR dete tion mode.
Set the Resolution: The first program setting is resolution.
• Press [OK] button to hoose the sele tion
• Press the [UP] or [DN] button to sele t the desired resolution
(HIGH/LOW/BASE) and press [OK] to save and exit to
CAPTURING setting
Set the Capturing sequen e. The Stealth Cam STC-DVIR5
PROWLER can be programmed to shoot 1~9 p ctures per
tr gger ng.
• The number of burst mode next to the word CAMERA will be
blinking
• Press [OK] button to hoose this sele tion and then press the
[UP] or [DN] button to sele t the desired burst mode setting

(number of pi tures per triggering).
• Press [OK] to onfirm your sele tion and exit to TIME OUT
settings.
Set the Video Mode: The Stealth Cam STC-DVIR5 PROWLER can
be programmed to shoot 5~90 seconds of v deo per tr gger ng.
• The video length in se onds will be blinking
• Press [UP] or [DN] button to sele t the desired video length
(from 5 se onds to 90 se onds in 5 se onds in rement)
• Press [OK] to save and exit to TIME OUT setting.
Set the Time out:
• The time out time will be blinking
• Press [OK] button to hoose the sele tion. Press [UP] or [DN]
button to in rease or de rease the time value in minutes from
01 to 59 minutes.
• Press [OK] to save the setting and exit to Date & Time setting.

Set Date and Time: This amera uses the 24hr military time
format.
• The date and time digit will be blinking. Press [OK] one more
time to enter time setting first.
• Minute digit will be blinking. Press [UP] or [DN] to in rease or
de rease the minute value (0 – 59)
• Press [OK] to onfirm the minute setting and enter hours
setting.
• Hour digit will be blinking. Press [UP] or [DN] to in rease or
de rease the hour value (00 – 23)
• Press [OK] to onfirm the hour setting and enter year setting.
• Year digit will be blinking. Press [UP] or [DN] to in rease or
de rease the year value. On e this is done, press [OK] and
enter month setting.
• Month digit will be blinking. Press [UP] or [DN] to in rease or
de rease the date value. (01 – 12)
• Press [OK] to onfirm the month setting and enter date setting.

de rease the date value. (1 – 31) On e this is done, press [OK].
You’ll see the word {No-dL} blink. Now press [MENU] to exit
program setting and ba k to status s reen.

Using the amera
On e all program setting has been ompleted your Stealth Cam is
ready for field use.
Getting started
It is re ommended that you mount the amera 4-5 ft off the ground
with the amera pointed at a slight downward angle. Be sure to avoid
mounting the amera fa ing east or west as the rising and setting of
the sun ould produ e false triggers and overexposed images. Clear
all bran hes and other debris away from the front of the amera so
as not to blo k the amera lens or PIR sensor.
