GENERAL – READ COMPLETELY BEFORE INSTALLING
(Part No. EZP133CW)
This product is designed to facilitate installation of the EZ-PATH®Fire Rated Pathway
(Cat. No. EZD33FWS) in accurate 4” (102 mm) diameter openings or nominal 3-1/8”
(80 mm) square openings through concrete or gypsum wallboard walls.
NOTE: Installation of this plate requires a minimum unobstructed area of 3/4” (20 mm)
completely around the openings.
1. Locate suitable area of the wall to penetrate making sure that there are no studs,
wires, pipes or other obstructions located within wall.
2. Cut, form or core-drill an accurate 4” (102 mm) diameter opening or a nominal
3-1/8” (80 mm) square-opening in wall. NOTE: Exercise care to align both openings
in gypsum wallboard walls.
3. Install a wall plate around device making sure that set screw anges are facing towards
the end of the device.
NOTE: Position plate so that the marking (EZP133CW) stamped on the plate aligns with the
lid of the device. Pre position and fasten wall plate to one side of pathway (g. 1) roughly
centering pathway within barrier. When properly adjusted, tighten set screws using Allen
wrench (provided) to lock plate onto device (See Fig. 1).
4. Place one of two provided gaskets around opposite end of device and carefully
slide it back to t snugly against back side (wall side) of plate.
5. Insert device through wall (with black device label facing upwards) using previously
installed wall plate and gasket as a stop (See Fig. 2).
6. Moving to the opposite side of the wall, install remaining gasket and wall plate
around device and slide toward wall. Tighten set screws to lock plate onto device and
complete the installation.

INSTALLING or PULLING CABLES
A resilient liner provides an adjustable seal within the pathway device.
Liner must be protected from damage while adding or removing cables.
Wrap cable ends with a suitable low friction tape before inserting into
the pathway. Where cable lubricants are used, low solids, water-based
products are recommended. This device is designed to be fully functional
at all cable loadings from completely empty to visually lled, and cables
should easily slide through the pathway using minimal effort. IF RESISTANCE
IS ENCOUNTERED, DO NOT FORCE CABLES OR CABLE BUNDLES
THROUGH THE PATHWAY. DAMAGE MAY RESULT. Upper curved liner
may be depressed when inserting cables, if necessary, using a at, smooth
implement and then removing it after cables are installed. The rectangular
shape of the loading area coupled with gentle pressure exerted by resilient
liners will naturally distribute the cables at a relatively uniform height across
the width of the device. The use of a cable dressing/combing instrument to
straighten and organize cables may help to maximize usable space within
the pathway device.
