4.1 General use information
In order todry yourhandsmostefficiently, please use
the following procedure:
> Shake off excess water over the washbasin
> Place handsunderneath the unit ata distance of
^" - 7"
^•Rub your hands together asifyou were washing
them
Your hands will bedryin approximately 15 seconds.
The StiebelEltronUltronicserieshanddryers are
equipped with an infrared sensor switch. Thissensor
will activate the unit when hands are placed underneath
it. Approximately 7 seconds after the handshavebeen
removed, the unit will automatically shut off.
The sensor isthe blackrectanglelocatedunderneath the
unit between theair exit andair inlet grills. The sensor
switch will not workproperly ifithas beencovered by
gumor dirt. Ifthe sensor is obstructed, the handdryer
will switch off automatically to prevent it from running
continuously.
4.2 User servicing instructions
A
The Ultronic hand dryer does not contain any
parts serviceable bythelay person. In case of
malfunction pleasecontact a licensed electrician.

detergent if necessary.Never useany abrasivecleaners
since they will scratch the finish ofthe unit. Neverspray

cleaning the unit, makesure the electric eye switch is
not covered.

ier and a-ftl^ gauge^copper wire. The Ultronic 2S/W
units are;,designed for 220-2W) V or 208V electrical
service and^require a 15 amp circuit breaker and a
gaugecopper wire.

Do not install the handdryer in DANGER ZONES 0,1,
or 2 (seeupper right diagram). Doing so rhay,-allow
the unit tobe splashed with water which could
result in seriouspersonal injury or death.

showers, or washbasins.
1 DANGER ZONE: do not installdirectly above bathtubs
or showers.
2 DANGER ZONE: donot install within 24" of bathtubs
or showers
3 SAFE AREA: unit must be installed in this area,
outside of DANGER ZONES 2, 1 and0.
Before mounting the unit tothe wall, ensure
all minimum distances aremetfor safety and
performance considerations.

by using the enclosed drilling template and drill
mounting holes(see drawing, upper right}.

Rotate the2 lock screws one turnclockwise until
theycome toa fullstop.
Remove the housing by gently lifting upward from
the bottom.This will allow the hooks to disengage
from the attachmenteyelets(see A,B, below). Once
the hookshavedetached,pull the cover gently
forward to remove it.

Put the housingbackonto the front ofthe unit
Lift upward to reengage the hooks into the
attachment eyelets.
Press the housing down gently soit locks in place.
thetwo screws a full turn counterclockwise to
stop.
1 Wiring block
> Install a 1/2"electricalconnector inthe back part of
housing inthe hole locatedbelow the wiring block
(l, above}.
^ Feed wires through connector; tighten clamp down
on wire.
"live" wires must be connected tothe slots
on the terminal marked N/LandL The ground
wire must be connected tothe slot onthe terminal
marked with the groundsymbol.
