Introducon | Sltz Duo+ Homeli
Thank you for purchasing a Sltz Duo+ Homeli. We are condent that this li will make your life
easier, safer and more comfortable. The Sltz Duo+ Homeli is a Domesc Personal Homeli that
complies with Machinery Direcve 2006/42/EC. To ensure connued sasfacon with your Sltz
Duo+, please always follow these instrucons:
• Read this user manual carefully before using your Sltz Duo+ Homeli. This will help ensure
safe, easy and correct operaon of the li.
• In the event of malfuncon, please refer to the chapters “Car Operang Panel” and
“Troubleshoong” rst (See pages 6 and 11). Potenal failure may be caused by the li's
safety devices. It is very likely that you can correct these issues quickly and easily yourself.
If Sltz installed your homeli, we are happy to provide phone support if needed. To get in
touch with us, call our freephone service and maintenance number on 0330 053 5749. If a
local dealer installed your homeli, please contact them directly for assistance as they will
hold your details and will be able to help.
• Even a solidly-built and technically low-maintenance li such as the Sltz Duo+ Homeli
should be maintained on a regular basis; once a year is ideal. This maintenance ensures
connued safety, and increases the long-term reliability of the li.
• Maintenance of your li is even easier if you sign up for a regular warranty agreement to
extend the life of your Sltz Duo+. This is oponal, however we do recommend it in order
to keep your li in opmal condion.
• We strongly recommend that you have all service and maintenance work to your Sltz
Duo+, carried out by an authorised Sltz service technician.
• You should never use the li in the event of a re.
We hope you'll enjoy your new Sltz Duo+ Homeli.

1. The li is motorised with moving parts. Only those who have been shown how to
operate it and who understand that they are responsible for starng, travelling in
and stopping the li safely - and have been cauoned on the potenal hazards -
should operate it.
2. The li is not a toy. Children under 14 years old should not be permied to
play with, or inside, the li. Children should only operate the li if under adult
supervision and only use it for its intended purpose.
3. Much like a stair case, this li can pose a parcular risk to small children when
on the upper oor, without adult supervision. In parcular, when the li is called
from the lower oor while a small child is on the upper oor, the child could
potenally crawl into the parally lowered li (if the li has the half door opon
ed). The safety light barriers stop the li ride as soon as there is an obstrucon
detected in the entrance area. However, that system does not protect a child from
potenally falling into the parally lowered li. It is the user’s responsibility to
ensure that such a situaon does not occur.

COP and Remote Control & Safety Features | Sltz Duo+ Homeli
Safety Features
The numerous safety features have been designed to ensure safe and comfortable li
travel at all mes. They prevent - or stop - the li from moving in case of a malfuncon
or in the event of an object or person blocking the operang radius.
In order to guarantee this and to protect the li against potenal failure, all safety
features must be acvated before operang the li.
It is important that you are familiar with all safety features.
Safety Sha Lid and Safety Pan
There are safety sensors designed to stop
the li immediately if the li car oor
(Safety Pan) or the li car roof (Sha Lid)
come into contact with any obstacle.
The li can then only proceed in the
opposite direcon. To nofy the user that
the li is obstructed, the related area on the
car operang panel (COP) inside the car will
ash (See p6). The journey can be connued
as soon as the obstrucon has been cleared.
Locking Mechanism and
Light Curtain
The door's locking mechanism ensures that
the li car door stays closed while the li is
moving. Sensors check - even before moving
- whether the door has been closed.
A key for the li door is provided to open
the safety catch and let passengers exit in
an emergency situaon.
All lis are equipped with a light curtain.
This safety light curtain creates a barrier
across the entrance of the li and either
prevents, or stops, the li from moving
further if there is an obstrucon blocking
the safety light curtain.
To nofy the user that the safety light
curtain is obstructed, the related area on
the car operang panel (COP) inside the
cabin will ash (See p6).
7

Addional Safety Sensors
Balance sensors will stop the li car if a
problem exists with either of the li ropes.
Overload sensors will determine whether
the li is overloaded prior to moving. To
nofy the user that the li is overloaded,
the related area on the car operang panel
(COP) inside the cabin will ash. (See p6).
The Slack Rope sensor detects if the li
ropes are slack and will prevent the li car
from aempng to travel any further.
In the unlikely event that the regular limit
switches should fail, there are auxiliary
switches located above and beneath the li
car. If these should fail at the same me,
there are further back up switches that will
stop the li in an emergency. Once these
emergency stops are acvated, the li will
stop unl the incident has been invesgated
by a service technician, and the problem has
been corrected.
Emergency Features
The li is equipped with an emergency stop
buon. Pressing the red emergency stop
buon whilst travelling in the li will stop
the li immediately and trigger the alarm.
Therefore, this buon should only be used
in extreme situaons; such as the li failing
to stop when the control buon is released.
To nofy the user that the emergency stop
has been acvated, the related area on the
car operang panel (COP) inside the cabin
will ash (See p6).
The emergency system must be reset once
the cause of the incident has been resolved.
8

Safety Features | Sltz Duo+ Homeli
A key switch prevents operaon while the
li is in “o” mode. This switch also resets
the controls aer an emergency stop.
There is a phone handset located
underneath the car operang panel (COP),
inside the car, which will enable immediate
contact in case of emergency.
Safety Brake, Motor
and Gear Brake
In the event of any rope related issues, an
integrated brake system will stop the li. The
safety brake stops the li immediately in the
unlikely event of a hoist rope failure. If any of
these safety features are acvated, they must
be disengaged and reset by a Sltz Homeli
service technician.
Emergency Power Supply
In the event of a power failure occurring whilst
the li is in operaon, the emergency power
supply and emergency lights will acvate
automacally.
The li can be moved down to the lower
oor on emergency power by using the
normal li controls. If this happens, the
buon which moves the li to the upper oor
will be disabled. All safety features remain
fully operaonal while lowering the li on
emergency power.
To ensure that the emergency power supply
is charged at all mes, the li's power plug
should never be disconnected from the mains.
Phone model may vary.
9

Li Operaon
Using the Li from Inside
the Car
1. When entering the li, the lights come on
automacally. Stand (or sit) in the li facing
the opening.
2. Close the door and make sure that you
are not obstrucng the safety light curtain
across the li entrance. If obstructed, the li
will not travel (See page 6).
3. If the load is greater than specied for
this li (170kg) the overload light will be
illuminated (See page 6). The li will not
move unl the weight is reduced.
4. Ensure any passengers or items travelling
with you are fully contained within the li
ca r.
5. Select the desired direction (See page 6).
Depress and hold the appropriate button
for travelling up or down. The lift will move
while the button is depressed.
6. Hold the buon down unl the li stops
at its desnaon.
7. If you see an unsafe situaon, release
the buon and either wait unl it is safe to
connue or return to the oor from which
you came.
Calling the Li with the
Remote Control
You can posion the two remote controls
anywhere around your home and these
allow you to control the li, and to call it
when it's parked on the other level. The
remote control can be used to move the li
to the desired oor.
1. If possible, rst check to make sure that
nobody is inside the li trying to operate it
from within.
2. Press the call buon on the remote
control and keep it pressed unl the li has
come to a stop on the desired oor. Please
note: you can stop the li at any me by
releasing the buon.
3. If the li encounters an obstrucon when
being called either up or down, it will stop.
If this occurs, reverse the direcon the li
is travelling in and return it to the starng
point. Clear the obstrucon, and as soon
as the obstacle has been removed from
the operaon area, the li will connue its
journey.

Cleaning Instrucons
For Health and Safety reasons, only trained authorised Sltz engineers should work on the
homeli. Depending on frequency of li usage, the product should be maintained and serviced
annually as a minimum.
General It’s natural that you will want to keep your homeli looking and
feeling clean and hygienic. To do this, lightly dust the li car and
rails regularly with a dry duster or cloth. The mechanical elements
of the equipment will not need cleaning, but wiping over the door,
li car walls and user controls and rails will ensure the parts being
handled during everyday use are kept clean and germ-free.
Environment The area / room around where the li stops on the ground oor
and rst oor should be kept vacuumed clean as this will reduce
any debris, dirt and dust aecng the li during its operaon.
Cleaning You should never use solvents, bleach, or other home cleaning
products on your Homeli, as this can damage the equipment. The
rails and moving parts should be kept clean from dust or foreign
objects. To clean your homeli, dry Microbre-type cloth should be
used to gently remove dirt or dust build up on the car and the rails
in a safe manner. If the li is in an environment where there is an
increase in the requirements for cleaning over and above standard
domesc cleaning, then addional services by a qualied service
engineer should be considered as part of the roune maintenance.
