IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read these instructions before using the Stinger
On-the-Go Insect Zapper and keep for future reference.
1. WARNING: Keep unit and USB adaptor cord out of reach of
children.
2. DO NOT use this product in any manner other than its intended use.
3. The product should be powered only as described in this Owner’s
Manual or as marked on the unit.
4. Only use the USB cord adaptor that is provided with this unit. Using
an adaptor with different voltage, or one that is not intended for the
unit, may cause damage to unit, damage to personal property, or
personal injury.
5. For outdoor residential use only – not intended for permanent
installation or use.
6. DO NOT insert fingers or any foreign objects into the unit while it is
ON or connected to a power source.
7. Insects collected within the unit may contribute to fire. Clean dead
insects from the unit frequently.
8. DO NOT clean this product with water, spray cleaner, or any other liquids.
DO NOT place where it can fall into water.
9. DO NOT cover the product with cloth, paper, or any material that is not part
of the product when in use.
10. DO NOT place the unit near heat, gas, oil, or other flammable materials.
11. Store product indoors when not in use – out of reach of children.
12. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, ALWAYS turn product OFF and
disconnect from power source before servicing, cleaning, and
changing bulbs.
13. All power connections should be kept off the ground and dry.
HOW THE STINGER®ON-THE-GO INSECT ZAPPER WORKS
The Stinger On-the-Go Insect Zapper is designed to attract and kill a wide range of
flying insects. The ultraviolet (UV) light given off by this unit is within the luminescent
range proven effective to lure these insects. Insects are attracted to the light and
killed as they contact the electrically charged grid area. Insects fall into the bug tray.
The outer protective cage helps prevent pets, birds, butterflies, and children’s fingers
from contacting the charged grids. This unit is for outdoor residential use only.
CHOOSING A LOCATION (Figure 1)
When selecting a location, please remember that insects will be lured to the unit. In
Bug Zapping mode, the Stinger On-the-Go Insect Zapper will effectively cover up to
400 sq. ft., approximately the size of a 20' x 20' deck or patio space. For best results,
hang or position the insect zapper between the source of insects (yard/woods) and
the area to be protected, but no more than 10-14 ft. from human activity.
OPERATION
IMPORTANT: Remove and discard cardboard insert from the grill before first use.
There are 3 ways to power the Stinger On-the-Go Insect Zapper.
1. Install 4 'AA'batteries (not included) by twisting off the top cap (Figure 2). For
best performance, make sure batteries are fully charged. To close top cap, twist
clockwise until it clicks into place and arrow on cap aligns with lock symbol.
2. Use the supplied USB cord and plug in to a USB outlet (Figure 3).
3. Use the supplied USB cord and a 5 Volt USB adapter (not included).
This is a standard cell phone USB electrical adapter (Figure 4).
Using an electrical adapter with different voltage may cause damage to the unit,
damage to personal property, or personal injury.
TO OPERATE UNIT:
1. Locate the Power switch under the overhang of the unit.
2. This Insect Zapper has 2 operating modes – Bug Zapping (UV) or Ambient Light-Only (LED).
3. Press button to the right ( I ) and the unit will operate in Bug Zapping mode,
using only the insect zapping UV bulb. The LEDs will not operate in this mode (Figure 5).
4. Press button to the left ( II ) and the unit will provide ambient light only. Only the LEDs will
operate in this mode and no insect zapping will occur (Figure 6).
5. Turn the unit OFF by positioning the switch in the center, indicated with a circle ( O ).

7. It is recommended that this unit be stored indoors during inclement weather.

SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
La unidad no enciende, la rejilla aparentemente no tiene voltaje:
• Asegúrese que las pilas estén completamente cargadas o nuevas.
• Asegúrese que la bandeja de insectos esté completamente cerrada.
• Asegúrese que el adaptador USB esté bien conectado en ambos
extremos.
La unidad no enciende, la rejilla tiene voltaje:
• Revise la bombilla para asegurarse que esté bien colocada.
• Reemplace la bombilla si es necesario.
La unidad parece estar funcionando correctamente, pero la
población de insectos no parece disminuir:
• Permita que pase más tiempo para que los insectos encuentren la unidad.
• Intente mover la unidad a otra área. Si usted está entre la
unidad y la fuente de los insectos, tendrán que volar cerca
de usted para llegar a la unidad y en realidad podrá notar un
aumento de insectos.

CAMBIO DE BOMBILLAS
Use solamente las bombillas de reemplazo de Stinger. Las bombillas deber ser reemplazadas anualmente para mantener eficacia UV óptima. Aún que la luz de la
bombilla pueda ser visible para usted, su capacidad para atraer a los insectos disminuye con el tiempo. Si la bombilla no se enciende o el color de la luz cambia a
amarillo o anaranjado, es hora de cambiar la bombilla. Vea las ESPECIFICACIONES DEL PRODUCTO para el tipo de bombilla de reemplazo para su dispositivo.

LIMPIEZA
A medida que la unidad mata a los insectos, la mayoría de los restos de insectos caerán a través de la unidad hacia la bandeja de insectos. Algunos
desechos pueden permanecer en la rejilla exterminadora o pueden acumularse en la base de la unidad. Esto puede reducir la efectividad del dispositivo.
Revise su dispositivo con frecuencia y limpie la unidad regularmente. El tiempo de cada limpieza variará dependiendo de su uso y población de insectos.
1. Antes de limpiar la unidad, asegúrese SIEMPRE que el interruptor
de energía esté en la posición de APAGADO y que el Adaptador
USB esté desconectado y retire las pilas si se han instalado.
2. Retire la bombilla de la unidad para evitar daños (vea la
instrucciones anteriores de Cambio de Bombillas).
3. Use aire comprimido para eliminar cualquier resto de insectos de
la rejilla exterminadora y la parte inferior del recinto.
4. NUNCA use agua para limpiar la unidad. El agua puede dañar los
componentes eléctricos.
5. Tenga mucho cuidado de no mover o ajustar de ninguna manera la
rejilla exterminadora de metal.
6. Una vez que la unidad esté limpia, vuelva a colocar la bombilla y la
bandeja de insectos.
1. Asegúrese que la unidad esté APAGADA y el Adaptador USB esté desconectado.
2. Retire la bandeja de insectos y voltee la unidad.
3. Alcance y saque la bombilla vieja para quitarla. Deseche la bombilla adecuadamente.
4. Inserte la nueva bombilla asegurándose que esté correctamente colocada en el
portabombillas (Figura 10).
5. Vuelva a colocar la unidad en posición vertical, y coloque de nuevo la bandeja de insectos.

INSTALACIÓN DEL SEÑUELO
NOSQUITO®DE OCTANOL
Retire la cubierta de aluminio y encaje
(lado con orificios hacia abajo) en el soporte
integrado en la parte inferior del Exterminador
de Insectos Portátil de Stinger (Figuras 7 y 8).
Reemplace el señuelo después de 30 días.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Unit will not light, no apparent grid voltage:
• Make sure the batteries are fully charged or new.
• Make sure the bug tray is fully closed.
• Make sure USB adapter is securely plugged in on both ends.
Unit will not light, grid has voltage:
• Check bulb to make sure it is seated properly.
• Replace bulb if necessary.
Unit appears to be working properly but insect population
does not seem reduced:
• Allow more time as it will take some time for insects to find
the unit.
• Try moving the unit to another area. If you are in between
the unit and the source of the insects, they will have to fly
by you to get to the unit and you may actually notice an
increase in insects.
Unit is constantly arcing (sparking):
• Clean the unit per the instructions in this manual.

CHANGING BULBS
Only use Stinger replacement bulbs. Bulbs should be replaced annually to maintain optimal UV effectiveness. Even though the bulb’s light
may be visible to you, its ability to attract insects diminishes over time. If the bulb fails to light or the color of the light changes to yellow or
orange it is time to replace the bulb. See PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS for bulb replacement type for your device.
1 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
You should first read all Instructions before attempting to use this product.
A. This 1 year limited warranty applies to repair or replacement of product found to be defective in material or workmanship. This warranty does not
apply to damage resulting from commercial, abusive, unreasonable use or supplemental damage. Defects that are the result of normal wear and tear
will not be considered manufacturing defects under this warranty. KAZ IS NOT LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF
ANY NATURE, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ON THIS PRODUCT IS LIMITED
IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you
specific legal rights, and you also may have other rights which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser
of this product from the original date of purchase.
B. At its option, Kaz will repair or replace this product if it is found to be defective in material or workmanship.
C. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from any unauthorized attempts to repair or from any use not in accordance with the
instruction manual.

CLEANING
As the unit kills insects, most of the insect remains will fall down through the unit into the bug tray. Some debris may be left on the killing grid
or may accumulate in the base of the unit. This may reduce the effectiveness of the device. Check your device frequently and clean the unit
regularly. The time in between each cleaning will vary depending on your insect population and usage.
1. Before cleaning the unit, ALWAYS ensure the Power switch is in
the OFF position and the USB Adaptor is disengaged and remove
batteries if they have been installed.
2. Remove bulb from unit to avoid damage (see Changing Bulbs
instructions above).
3. Using compressed air, remove any insect remains from the killing
grid and bottom of enclosure.
4. NEVER use water to clean the unit. Water may damage the
electrical components.
5. Be very careful not to move or adjust the metal killing grid
in any way.
6. Once the unit is clean, replace the bulb and bug tray.
1. Ensure unit is OFF and USB Adaptor is disengaged.
2. Remove bug tray and turn unit upside down.
3. Reach in and pull old bulb straight out to remove. Dispose of bulb properly.
4. Insert new bulb making sure it is properly seated in the socket (Figure 10).
5. Return unit to upright position and replace bug tray.

Bulb Contains Mercury. Dispose according to local, state, or federal laws.
Note: If unit fails to light after replacing bulb, disengage unit, remove the bulb,
and reseat it in the socket.

CÓMO FUNCIONA EL EXTERMINADOR DE INSECTOS PÓRTATIL DE STINGER®
El Exterminador de Insectos Portátil de Stinger está diseñado para atraer y matar a una
amplia gama de insectos voladores. La luz ultravioleta (UV) que emite esta unidad está
dentro de la gama luminiscente probada eficaz para atraer a estos insectos. Los insectos
son atraídos por la luz y mueren cuando tocan el área de la rejilla cargada eléctricamente.
Los insectos caen en la bandeja de insectos. La jaula protectora exterior ayuda a evitar
que las mascotas, aves, mariposas, y los dedos de los niños entren en contacto con las
rejillas cargadas. Esta unidad es sólo para uso residencial en exteriores.
ELEGIR UNA UBICACIÓN (Figura 1)
Cuando seleccione una ubicación, por favor recuerde que los insectos serán atraídos a la unidad.
En el modo Exterminador de Insectos, el Exterminador de Insectos Portátil de Stinger cubrirá
eficazmente hasta 37 m2, aproximadamente el tamaño de una terraza o patio de 6.1 m x 6.1 m.
para obtener mejores resultados, cuelgue o coloque el exterminador de insectos entre la fuente de
insectos (patio/bosque) y el área a proteger, pero a no más de 3 - 4.3 m de la actividad humana.
OPERACIÓN
IMPORTANTE: Retire y deseche el insecto de cartón de la rejilla antes de usar por
primera vez.
Hay 3 maneras de alimentar el Exterminador de Insectos Portátil de Stinger.
1. Instale 4 pilas 'AA'(no incluidas) girando la tapa superior (Figura 2). Para obtener
mejor rendimiento, asegúrese que las pilas estén completamente cargadas. Para
cerrar la tapa superior, gire hacia la derecha hasta que haga clic en su lugar y la
flecha en la tapa se alinee con el símbolo de candado.
2. Use el cable USB suministrado y conecte a un tomacorriente USB (Figura 3).
3. Use el cable USB suministrado y un adaptador USB de 5 V~ (no incluido).
Éste es un adaptador eléctrico USB de teléfono celular estándar (Figura 4).
El uso de un adaptador eléctrico con voltaje diferente puede causar daños a la unidad,
daños a la propiedad personal, o lesiones personales.
PARA OPERAR LA UNIDAD:
1. Localice el interruptor de Encendido debajo del saliente de la tapa de la unidad.
2. Este Exterminador de Insectos tiene 2 modos de operación - Exterminador de Insectos (UV) o
Sólo Luz Ambiental (LED).
3. Presione el botón de la derecha ( I ) y la unidad operará en modo Exterminador de Insectos, usando
sólo la bombilla UV exterminadora de insectos. Los LEDs no funcionarán en este modo (Figura 5).
4. Presione el botón de la izquierda ( II ) y la unidad proporcionará sólo luz ambiental. Sólo los LEDs
operarán en este modo y no se producirá ningún tipo de exterminio de insectos (Figura 6).
5. APAGUE la unidad colocando el interruptor en el centro, indicado con un círculo (
O ).
6. Vea la Hoja de Inserto del Señuelo para las Precauciones de Seguridad e Instrucciones de Uso.
7.
Se recomienda que esta unidad sea almacenada en el interior durante condiciones climáticas inclementes.
