To open the damper pull the handle towards you. To close
the damper push the handle back towards the wall. Always
handle with care.

Pour ouvrir le clapet, tirer la poignée vers vous. Pour fermer
le clapet, pousser la poignée vers le mur. Toujours manipuler
avec soin.

If the space between walls is limited, you can install the dam-
per into the floor as shown. ( Ideal for Stûv 30 ).

Where space allows, it is best to leave the damper below the
fireplace or between the walls.

1. Drill the wall or floor where the handle will be located.
2. Thread the nut halfway along the rod.
3. Slide the washer down the rod to meet the nut.

2. Insérer l’écrou le long de la tige filetée jusqu'à mi-chemin.
3. Faites glisser la rondelle sur la tige. Déposer contre l'écrou.

4. Insert the threaded rod into the hole which you drilled in
step 1. Ensure that there is wooden framing in place behind
the wall as shown.
5. Thread the finishing washer until it is flush with the wall.
6. Tighten the nut and the finishing washer.
7. Pull on the unthreaded shank and thread the handle on.
8. Test the assembly for proper operation.

surez-vous qu'il y a un cadrage de bois en place derrière le
mur, tel qu'illustré.
5. Enfilez la rondelle de finition jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit à ras
du mur.
6. Serrer l'écrou et la rondelle de finition.
7. Tirerz sur la tige non filetée et visser la poignée.
8. Tester l'assemblage pour valider le bon fonctionnement
du clapet.

Be careful not to block the damper and obstruct the
opening / closing by camping outside of the 1/2”
safe zone at either end.

It is important not to bend , twist or turn the cable
on itself. Any misconfiguration can create tension
on the cable and cause an inadequate opening
/ closing.
