TOOLS REQUIRED
Phillips screwdriver
5/16" Socket
5/16" Combination Wrench
Small Flat-blade screwdriver
WARNING:
Disconnect the product from the power source before
starting this procedure.
CAUTION:
Turn off the water supply prior to performing this
procedure.
IMPORTANT: The water lines and water filter manifold may
have residual water in the components.
IMPORTANT: This service package applies to the UC-15I
between serial numbers 23014677 and 23023668.
TIP: This procedure can be performed with the unit
installed.
REMOVE THE DOOR WITH HINGES
Remove the hinge covers that cover the door hinge
screws from the upper and lower hinges.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the inner
cabinet hinge screws.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the outer cabinet
hinge screws.
Push the door assembly toward the hinge side of the
unit.
Pull the door assembly forward over the outer
cabinet hinge screws.
Remove the door assembly, with the hinges
attached, from the unit.
REMOVE THE WATER FILTER
TIP: The water filter may not be installed.
Rotate the water filter counterclockwise until it stops.
Pull the water filter from the unit.
REMOVE THE KICKPLATE
Use a 5/16" socket to remove the kickplate mounting
screws and plastic washers.
Remove the kickplate from the unit.

REMOVE THE BOTTOM RAIL TRIM
Use a 5/16" socket to remove the bottom rail trim
mounting screws.
Remove the bottom rail trim from the unit.
REMOVE THE BOTTOM FRONT RAIL FRAME
Use a 5/16" socket to remove the bottom front rail
frame mounting screws.
Rotate the front of the bottom front rail frame down,
then pull the bottom front rail frame forward.
Remove the bottom front rail frame from the unit.
REMOVE THE LOWER COVER ASSEMBLY
Pull the lower cover assembly downward and remove
it from the unit.
REMOVE THE ENCLOSURE
Push the enclosure toward the back of the unit.
Pull the front of the enclosure down.
Pull the rear notches of the enclosure down past the
tabs.
Remove the enclosure from the unit.
REMOVE THE WATER FILTER MANIFOLD
Use a 5/16" socket to remove the water filter manifold
mounting screws.
Pull the water filter manifold forward.
On the first water line, pull the black insulation down
the water line, exposingthe locking clip.
IMPORTANT: Do not remove the glued, gray
insulation from the water filter manifold.
Use a small flat-blade screwdriver to remove the
locking clip.
Push the collar around the water line up toward the
fitting, while pulling the water line away from the
manifold.

Repeat for the other water line.
Remove the water filter manifold from the unit.
INSTALL THE WATER FILTER MANIFOLD
Insert one of the water lines into the water filter
manifold.
Insert the locking clip below thecollar.
Pull the black insulation up around the water fitting.
Repeat inserting the water line and installing the
locking clip on the other water line.
Push the water filter manifold back into the unit.
Use a 5/16" socket to install the water filter manifold
mounting screws.
INSTALL THE ENCLOSURE
Insert the enclosure into the unit.
Lift the rear notches of the enclosure up past the
tabs.
Lift the front of the enclosure, then pull the enclosure
forward.
INSTALL THE LOWER COVER ASSEMBLY
Insert the lower cover assembly into the unit.
Push the lower cover assembly up until it is aligned in
the unit.
INSTALL THE BOTTOM FRONT RAIL FRAME
Insert the lower part of the bottom front rail frame
over the side panel tabs.
Rotate the bottom front rail frame up and align it
below the lower cover assembly.
Use a 5/16" socket to install the bottom front rail
framemounting screws.
INSTALL THE BOTTOM RAIL TRIM
Place the bottom rail trim over the bottom front rail
frame.
Use a 5/16" socket to install the bottom rail trim
mounting screws.
INSTALL THE KICKPLATE
Place the kickplate onto the unit.
Use a 5/16" socket to install the kickplate mounting
screws and plastic washers.
INSTALL THE WATER FILTER
TIP: Install the water filter if it was removed.
Insert the water filter into the water filter manifold.
Rotate the water filter clockwise until it stops.
INSTALL THE DOOR WITH HINGES
Align the upper and lower hinge key holes over the
outer cabinet hinge screws.
Push the door assembly toward the unit cabinet.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to install the inner cabinet
hinge screws.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the outer cabinet
hinge screws.
Check the alignment of the door assembly.
Install the hinge covers over the door hinge screws.
